To be fair to Slippy, he's the analyst, and much of which direction the game goes in and the kind of levels you can get to revolve around him. This is why he's at risk a lot, because without him, you can't see your enemies' health gage, which makes the game more difficult, and prevents you from getting to certain levels.

Im glad Paimon is so low in the list but i do think they overexaggerated on how annoying she is. Theyre are times of course but in all seriousness she is a geniuine character so idk why she gets so much hate for a trait that nearly everyone has :(

As a Borderlands fan, I honestly think Tyreen and Troy aren't THAT terrible. Handsome Jack was just TOO awesome to follow up. They're basically the equivalent to whoever the sad saps were that came out after the Beatles on the Ed Sullivan show.
My main gripe with them was actually that there should've been more of them. There were hints of layers beneath their online personas, but they weren't sufficiently explored, I felt.

She is so fucking annoying and unnecessary character. I lower my volume to 0 whenever she talks in a story quest
The hatred of Ashley in RE4 is definitely overblown. The game is about precision aim and crowd control. All Ashley does is further stress those core skills. Functionally, she makes your hit box bigger, so you have to keep more space between you and the enemies than you did before (crowd control). She also obstructs sight lines for a half second before ducking, so you need a little more time before taking your shots (crowd control again). And when she gets grabbed you have to free her without hitting her (precision aiming). It’s the same thing you’ve been doing in the game with an added wrinkle that makes it more demanding with less room for error. As a “game piece” she fits into the core skills and dynamics of the game perfectly fine.
Over time it gets annoying and you still have to learn precision aiming even before Ashley. It just feels irritating when she gets in the way so much

Ashley even stays and hides anywhere.
She actually listens to you and you can place her outside of harm's way.
She's actually not as bad as people like to yell.
And if you bear with it and finish the game, the knight armour/costume will be unlocked and Ashley is literally unkillable and even the enemies drop her because of the heavy weight of her armour😂
I find Steve,Piers,Jake, and all the new characters from Rev1 far more annoying. Ashley isn’t even around half the time.

I agree that General Tsao was an arrogant thorn in Sly’s side, but Dr. M and Le Paradox are easily hated.
Dr M was a supreme asshole. Every time I play through Sly 3, I look forward to beating him senseless

Given everything that's happened to Vanille both before and during the story, her sadness and occasional self-loathing is completely understandable
a lot of the FF13 characters are taken at just face value, you do a little digging, watch the cutscenes etc, a lot of their character traits are explained somewhere as to why they're like that.
The only thing I like about Duck Hunt Dog is using him as a punching bag in Smash Bros.

The most annoying character to me is kronica from mortal kombat she teleports everywhere, has moves that are hard to dodge, shell summon characters to fight for her if you get her health to a certain amount. The best you can do is just spamm kicking.

There's nothing wrong with Mr. Resetti (Animal Crossing), Paimon (Genshin Impact), Ashley (RE Series), Vanille (FF Series), and Navi (Zelda Series) for god's sake, every time!! -_-

Here are a couple of dishonorable mentions:
- Simon Krieger and the Tinkerer (Spiderman: Miles Morales): One is a smug corporate sociopath who made Carnage look like a saint by comparison. And the other is an angry idiot who failed to gain the players' sympathy.
- The Beetle (Donkey Kong 64): Not only is she infamous for cheating, but her laugh is irritating to listen to !
Expected to see Omochao on this list somewhere. Certain Sonic games he just doesn’t leave you alone it’s annoying af

To me Fi is far more annoying than Navi! Navi was actually helpful for the player due to Ocarina Of Time is the first 3D Zelda game, while Fi just kept on repeating the same things over and over again that the player knows!
plus, she can't offer anything remotely helpful in combat until you've already killed so many of that particular enemy to not need the advice while Navi actually knew wtf to do right away

Paimon ain't as bad as you think sometimes. She's good with information. However, the Mr. Resetti should've been Tom Nook, I mean the bastard wants me to dole out nearly 120k for storage.
Padme from the Star Wars Phantom Menace Pc game was my pick for most annoying. There was a level in the game where your sole objective was to protect her and keep her from getting killed so what does she do? She keeps running in front of you. It is kind of hard to protect someone who does not stay behind you. There were times during the level where I was tempted to kill her myself.
Mr. Resetti was meant to be annoying because it was meant to be a punishment. Personally, I think he was a pretty effective deterrent to keep you from shutting down without saving. Also, in a couple of the games if you made him mad enough his much more chill brother would show up instead which was neat.

To the Presenter: I can tell from your shoutout to Sheva in Resident Evil 5, that you ONLY ever play as Chris. Because when you play as Sheva (imagine that!), Chris is just as annoyingly in the way.

I think Sadie was a lot worse, even worse than Mica. Strauss was just a shady errand boy character. Sadie was a psychopath that refused to think straight and constantly put the gang in danger for no reason.
I personally feel the egg thiefs from spyro earned a spot somewhere on this list just cruising along collecting gems when you hear "nah nah nah nah nah hehehe" on constant untill you find the stupid thing then it escalates into a high speed chase all the while the thing is still taunting you with a voice straight out of Roger rabbit

I don't agree that Paimon is annoying character in Genshin Impac game because she is so C-U-T-E + I love her (in Japanese voice not that horrible English voice). Why Ratbag from Shadow of Mordor + Shadows of War on that list, because he is so annoying character ever, because he doesn't do anything on those games.

i never found Navi annoying. she's looks helpless, she's tiny and adorably cute. she's also helpful with info and doesn't butt in, unlike Fi... the grownup looking nuisance keeps talking and conversing with Link for tiniest reason. the most annoying moment is when you keep the batteries on red for long period of time. she won't shut up then. i would rather keep hearing "hey! listen!" over and over again than constantly be reminded my batteries needs changing...
also i never found baby Mario to be annoying either. if anything it made losing him stressful which made me play more carefully and made the gameplay more exciting and fun.

I'm finding the narrator's over-the-top yelling to be just as annoying (if not more than) these video game characters, no self-awareness at all.
Vanille has been through a lot of shit so she gets a pass. Honest for it faults FF13 has one of the best casts in the franchise.
Navi was a dear friend and I miss her to this day.
The BL3 twin should have been much higher on the list.

Resetti isn't annoying. He's punishment for cheaters. Getting annoyed by him means you were cheating. You cheater.
Paimon's English voice made me switch to Japanese voices forever. God I hate her English voice. Makes me want to slam her face first into a rock.
Alpha has nothing on Night Terror from the Soul Calibur franchise. Unfair AI is one thing, but Unfair AI that has high accuracy with ranged attacks and significantly boosted damage? THAT is frustrating.
Hating on Gex earns you a spot in video game hell. Terrible developer choices and loot boxes with horrible monetization plans will haunt your games forever unless you apologize.
Tyrene and Troy were terrible, for certain. Tyrene even has that stupid hairstyle to match her awful character. That's about the only thing they did right with Borderlands 3; make villains who you could hate.
The Adoring Fan deserves every violent death. My favorite is making him tumble down a mountain with a mod that greatly exaggerates the ragdoll physics after shooting him in the head with an arrow. So incredibly satisfying.
Baby Mario is why the mute button exists on TVs. True fact.
