We remodeled our offices into a shared workspace. Lots of drama coming from that, but the highlights were the argument on the size of the fridge not being big enough for everybody storing their gorceries they bought during lunch break which lead to demands being made for personal fridge space for each employee and people actually being upset when that wasnÄt granted and a freeking petition for not having to do cleaning duties in the kitchen because some employees were afraid of cleaning duty taking up too much time because others might leave the kitchen too dirty. Our boss actually gave in on that one and is now paying the lady who is cleaning our floors extra just for putting cuttlery in the dishwasher and wiping the table.
Most of one of our repair departments put in their 2 weeks notice when it was announced that they would no longer get PTO from both our company AND our subsidiary, which they work for for licensing purposes. This means most of them are having their 160 hours of paid time off, plus 80 hours of sick time, cut in half to align with the rest of the company. It would normally require working here for 10 years to gain that initial amount every year.

I have this argument with my husband when he works from home. I’m not because I’m running around, up & down stairs all day.
He sits still in his office.
I will never understand those idiots who poop everywhere. What do they get out of it? What would they do if they were caught? Surely you can hold on until you get to a toilet?

I love juicy drama stories from workplaces and schools like this. :3. It gives me ample inspiration for stories and rps. :3.
Word went around company, the owner and his wife had a huge blowout fight. Cops called all that nonsense. He thought she was cheating and threatened to kill whomever. She knew he cheated all the time and didn't care. As she was the more wealthy one. But It was all a big mess. After a couple weeks it all cooled down, she and I were able to go back to our daily special lunch visit.
