- 🔌🌩 EASY TRAP BASE - Memory Cell Electronics Tutorial - RUST 🌩🔌
So in today's video we look at the memory cell in Rust and how good it is at trapping players. I like to call the memory cell a trap base dream.
This Rust electricity tutorial will show you the different ways the memory cell works and how to wire it up. Hopefully this tutorial guide will appeal to beginners and even pro players.
I will show you the different components that compliment the memory cell to make it super effective at trapping players in a purpose built trap base. It has 2 outputs, a converted and a standard. When the lights on the memory cell are red/green it will output the converted on the left. When the memory cell is 'set' both lights will turn green and this means the memory cell will no longer output power from the converted but instead switch its power to the standard output. You can then reset the memory cell using a switch for example back to its original state.

I've been trying to figure out what the hell memory cells are used for. I'm usually the guy who sets up our base, defenses, indoor farming, etc. and this helped me a ton!

the rf pager strat is genius, especially if you set up multiple trap bases. you could even set a station up at every base you set so you can identify which base has someone trapped. Thanks for the tip!

Can you make a video to show how to make a pressure plate that keeps the door closed and the tesla coil on.
I made a different comment about showing how to make the door closed and the tesla coil on, but I CAN'T FIND WHERE (oops caps lock) I put that comment so I am saying now. I was actually just trying to be intiative and made something else where the tesla coil turns off once you set on the pressure plate and the door opens.
I took notes now as well so, I am definetley good, but it gets confusing if you try and explain everything in a small space..........................Thank you, so much for the love for your viewers and even though this video is 2 years old you still hearted my comment. it is AMAZING OF YOU to do that for us.
Also for the laughs.... I focused so hard on this I GOT CONFUSED 3 TIMES, but I spent 2 hours understanding it and then in math I really don't try that hard all the time. (What I am really saying is I focused on this, way harder than I do on math work ) and actually spent time in my free time to focus on this and I am a console guy, so that is why I am commenting now because I just started playing rust again.
@@petervargas2387 exactly same set up as 3:42, switch, memory cell, pressure pad. Power goes in all 3. Pressure pad to set on memory cell, switch on reset, inverted power (on memory cell) to door controller... Then simply have a new circuit for the tesla. Easiest would be a hbhf sensor in the room. Power to the hbhf and tesla, then output from hbhf to tesla

i was looking for this for hours! ty ty ty, it seems im being stupid about electronics in this game. so confusing.. starved to death twice in my base trying to figure out basic pressure pad and solar panels. this is exactly what i needed.
this video really helped me understand this damm green monster ahahahaha was driving my self insane until i came across this.... idk what it was but the way you explained this was just perfect and super helpfull
Tyvm for this, honestly memory cells have been a nightmare for me to get my head around... Im gonna have to rewatch this a few times on a practice server and experiment with different components to full understand it... Blockers will be my next challenge afterwards
Memory cells in my opinion are the hardest, if you've mastered this, you'll have no problem with blockers.... I do have a video on blockers too though if you need it :-)

Use bear rugs to hide your electrics, and add a timer to save your teslas. Have fun with that.
So proximity sensor and a transmitter on one memory cell, door and trap on the other. I like the idea you gave to me.

Great videos one thing I'll like to add is if you could please show the set up on the wall when your finished so it's easier to screen shot . Your very good to understand and the steps are easier enough to understand but the wiring get tricky thanks for your great work

I'm a legend :) Would of liked to see an actual base because i knew how to make a trap base with trip wires and stuff but i guess it just looks a bit too bait for some people to come in.
you're right, i need to put these into practise. realistically youd try and bait people inside, hide all the electrics etc. really happy you made it to the end. think youre the first thats declared.... have a heart :-)
@@AniCodYT :) I made a base that had hidden laser detector, hidden tesla, as in it hits through wall so the only thing u see is an empty room with boxes but i guess maybe the garage door next to it is too bait so maybe needs to be put somewhere else

Open door and a rug on the floor with a gap under it. Nothing suspicious about that.

yes :-) ... wire the circuit up backwards.. should open instead of close
I use a button for the reset because it automatically turns off again and does not need power.

what if we wanted to do more doors eg a player walks into a hallway then the door shuts behind them and another door opens with shotgun traps how would we hook up more doors?
put the second output to another door controller. when power shuts from one it will switch and power the second. Do you want me to try show you? i can put it in another future video?

How use toggle?
put power in from a switch and it will turn it on and off
this seems a little useless because you could always use things like blockers to create the same effect. great tutorial tho !
