Great video. Great information. You are saving people a lot of time redoing transmissions when there is no need.

OEM Master kit only includes one piston and retainer. The remaining four pistons total cost is over $160 from my local dealer, while aftermarket complete kits are around $90. Great job demonstrating the reason for the price difference. $70 is cheap insurance. I'll use this video to demonstrate why my rebuilds cost a little more than the discount shops. Thanks!

Just had a thought that might be worth the time. Assuming that's a brand new drum, could the defect be there, maybe a nick or gouge? Did you try the original piston to see how it did in the drum?

Having exactly the same issue, wondered if it's ok. Got transtec kit with some pistons in the box, without any package. Now think to keep the original ones or replace with new oems

That white wash and bright light is really killing the video quality.. I don't know what camera you are using, but I would advise that you go into the settings and try to change the "exposure" if you can--- Or maybe its time to upgrade the camera, maybe a go-pro. I think you would be a lot better off just shooting this on your smart phone; a modern I-phone or Android would be much better quality-- which I assume you already have. There are plenty of cheap holders, tripods and gimbals out there for phones. Its just hard to watch, especially when you are pointing and trying to show us something. (plus I'm tired so its hurting my eyes. lol) --- food for thought.

@@GaryFerraro Right on-- sometimes the auto function gets confused, like when the sunlight is in a window behind you-- its adjusting for that and can't focus on you-- ect.. Just hire a camera guy, a sound boom guy and a director-- i'm sure it would be worth it. lol

Thanks Gary! Where did you apply the air to do the leak check? One of the tube openings? I took my compounder apart last weekend and found some tears in the piston but unfortunately i didn't have the Pistons in my rebuild kit. I ordered the oe ones but I just want to check to make sure it's all good before reassembling this time

Gary, do you prefer OE parts from Mopar over all other parts? What about the torque converter? My local transmission shop orders his torque converters from some place in Pittsburg Pa. than directly from Mopar, for reasons unclear to me. My favorite Mopar dealership sells me OEM parts for 25% above their costs, which seems like a decent price to me. I've been dealing with them for close to 20 years and trust them and treat them like friends. Thanks!

Electronics i only go OE, Converters i get rebuilt by a company called Recon, never really have problems, rarely purchase converters from dealers, Overhaul kits i like TransTec. I'm in New York on Long Island

Hi, I'm Fernando from Argentina. I have a journey with a 62te. I was driving 30km/h and my son accidentally pushed the lever all the way to R. I immediately turned it back. Now it is difficult for it to go from second gear and it throws errors p0732, p0735 and p0792. He goes into safe mode. Will any solenoid or sensor be damaged? or will it be some piston. It's hard to get into second gear. Can you help me. Thank you
