No sweat! You are Most welcome! As one Friend helping another, You have helped me Numerous times, just had to think of something You needed and the tag wall sounded like a good place to start. the new 56 old book lol haha was threw in just to say Many Thanks, My friend, Oh the plates were right here on FREE BAY!!!. Enjoy them and have a sweet day,bob
You can tell someone who has been wrenching for some time when they work their hand down the length of the screw driver as they are twisting to grab the bolt in one clean motion. Cheers to good technique 🤙
Thanks Cody! Been wrenching since the early 1980's....yep, I've got a little age on me Brother! Cheers! Zip~ Oh!! And thanks for stopping by! Hope the 450 is going to be ready for the road!
Your best line of defense for a longer lasting battery is to keep a high quality battery tender on it. I use Topdon brand exclusively and I've got 5 motorcycles with batteries ranging from 2 years to 5 years old. Typically they only last a couple years max. So maintenance is key. Cheers! Zip~
My 2005 BMW R1200RT came with a AGM battery and it only just now died. It's $200 to replace if I go with a new one from the dealer, but there a plenty of aftermarket ones for about half that. Thanks, Zip!!
I've been sold on AGM batteries for some time now. Only draw back is the price, but this one surprised me coming in under $5. I'd say you got your monies worth out of yours Mr.A! Stay tuned....there "might" be another Honda in the shop lol. Man...I'm a glutton for punishment hehe. Cheers Buddy! Zip~
I love motorcycle videos. :) But then you knew that. That bike should love that battery for a long time. The weather has been crazy cold here since the beginning of August. We have struggled to stay in the 70's all of August and for the last week we struggled to reach 65.. Cheers!
My company just revamped the entire lighting from fluorescent to LED replacements, in all of the hallways and offices. And I was told by one of the facility guys that it's saving the company a lot of money, it's a large facility so I would say thousands. That's my next project, to replace all of t he fluorescent lamps in the garage and basement with LED replacements.
I tell ya Pete...I expected a reduction, but not THAT much of one!! I'm super impressed. In the 15 years I've had my shop, this was the cheapest electric bill ever. That's saying something about these lights! Cheers!! Zip~
I tell ya Bruce...I've only got $267 in ALL my Led Lighting in the shop. The return won't take long before they've paid for them selves. If you have existing Fluorescent fixtures, look at the video I posted with the link for replacement LED bulbs that don't require you to remove your ballast, but if your ballast goes bad, they'll work hard wired as well. Also, pay attention to the color you choose. Kelvin rating in the 5000 range is (to me) the best color hue. I've got them from 3800-6000 and the 5000k are the nicest natural white I've found. Higher numbers means a bluer hue, lower means a more yellow hue. Cheers my Northern Friend! Sean~
Hey Zippo I have a 1980 CB125 with CDI ignition..low KM's 3920.. right blinker works but the no other lights work!! Can you tell me where I can find the fuse panel..thanks in advance
wow! i have some of those little sealed 6 volts on a motorized bicycle and to run lights at night they work nice. then in day light riding i have mounted a solar cell panel up on the handle bars to keep them charged.the guy i built the bike for runs it back to /from work 20 miles round trip the lights get a little dim when he gets home but better than crappy flashlight duct taped to the bars like he was doing it was costing him a fortune in d cells!!! lol have a great Day,bob
Bob!! Just got those Awesome plates and the Manual! Thank you SOOO Much! First vintage NEW plates going on the wall this morning. you Sir, ROCK! How did you come across New 50+ year old plates? ? Cheers Buddy! Zip~
HI Trudy! Hey Zip I feel your pain lows in the 40s here too. I really like those style of batterys but I didn't know they had that kind of cranking power and it doesn't bother me if you do a motorcycle video or mower or whatever video any Zippo video is a good video😃
I paid $800 for mine in perfect shape, then rode the heck out of it for a season and sold it to a nice gentleman who wouldn't take no for an answer, so I got a premium for it even though I had no intentions of selling it. So I gave him the "I don't want to sell it price" and he said Done. It was a super fun bike to tool around on. Now my play bike is a 2009 KLX250S Dual Sport. Cheers D! Zip~
Would you put it on eBay? I understand it’s not a big bike, when searching for them I can’t find them hardly anywhere. I don’t want to give the bike away.
Depending on the over all condition, they're worth between $800 and $1,500. In completely original, low mile perfect condition, you'd still be lucky to get $2,000 right now. If you can afford to sit on it for a while, values are going up quite quickly. Take my 1973 CB350F for example. Five years ago it was valued at $1,800-$2,300 in "good" condition. Now, mine is in "Fine" condition or "Very Good". Now, just 5 years later, it's valued between $2,400-$5,000. Double what it was valued at just 5 years ago. So if it's not burning a hole in your pocket. My advice is, hang onto it. Cheers! Zip~
Chris, the guy I sold the CB125S to says the battery is still doing great. I've got a couple AGM batteries that I've had for 10+ years that are still testing over 80% state of health and still holding a full charge. They're a lot more reliable and last a lot longer than wet cell's. Hope this answers your question gaz! Cheers! Zip~
I use Absorbed Glass Mat batteries for the most part. Mine are made by Exide. They're not cheap, but they'll last 10+ years over conventional wet acid batteries and they don't leak. Cheers! Zip~
I soldered 8 gauge wire to the terminals then soldered eyelets to the ends then bolted them to the existing leads on the bike and insulated the positive lead to prevent it from grounding. Cheers Zander! Zip~
Zippo, I was recently given a 1975 Honda CB125...could you recommend someone in Westchester County, NY who can help me make this bike look and run better? Thank you.
Here's a Google Search of your area. There appears to be many "good" shops to choose from. Personally, I can't recommend any, as I'm in the mid west. But if you go to their Google profile pages, you can read reviews of their service and over all Google Star Rating. I've got the same bike. It's an absolute BLAST To ride! You'll Enjoy It!! Cheers. Zip~
Hammering it, normal riding, playing around the yard....the thing sips the fuel! Big Bill is getting in the 45-50mpg range. Still great mileage! Ah...to live in the South where I could ride all year round! lol Cheers Sir Pipe! Zip~
Good drop in power bill. Much higher in S Fla with AC . Too bad no "led AC". In about 42 hours, Hurricane Irma will upon me. Then no power, just the camping trip, again, from hell. Don't ever have to leave the house. I hope it doesn't leave us.

Many years ago , when I was single my girlfriend at the time had a Honda CB 125 , and we drove it everywhere, a bunch of fun. 😎
It's a blast of a little CC Bike, that's for sure! Cheers Ron!! Zip~
You fit two people on that bike??
Is there a particular way to charge these batteries?

@@ZippoVarga Thanks for the info! I'm working on a 72 CB100.
I swapped over to the same batteries in my little Honda Trail 70s.
They're awesome compact leak free batteries for sure. And, they live a LONG time over the wet cell. Cheers Moe! Zip~

very nice battery, we use that brand of battery for the Cirrus Aircrafts.
I'm sold on them for sure. I have them in all my motorcycles, my power lift, overhead lift etc. Cheers! Zip~

I will be placing my Cb 125s up for sale, there really hard to find but I haven’t seen them sale for over $2500. That was a stretch!
I paid $800 for mine in perfect shape, then rode the heck out of it for a season and sold it to a nice gentleman who wouldn't take no for an answer, so I got a premium for it even though I had no intentions of selling it. Great video.
Do you have details of the LED lighting that you used as I want to do the same for my bike.
I take it that your electrical system is 6v?
Looking to get agm battery for my honda. they keep trying to sell me flooded battery. wondering where you ordered your battery. thanks
Just saw this. Great idea!! How is the AGM battery working out for your CB125S after 3 years now? I have a 74 I want to do this to
Chris, the guy I sold the CB125S to says the battery is still doing great. What type of batteri do you use on your tractors
I use Absorbed Glass Mat batteries for the most part. Mine are made by Exide. They're not cheap, but they'll last 10+ years over conventional wet acid batteries and they don't leak. Cheers! Zip~
What adapters did you use for the battery?
I soldered 8 gauge wire to the terminals then soldered eyelets to the ends then bolted them to the existing leads on the bike and insulated the positive lead to prevent it from grounding. Cheers Zander! Zip~
ZippoVarga is this a must do for this battery?
Based on your caps it would be easy to call you bill less, but we know that's not true. Nice one Zip!

AGM--good info & video! When you got 94 MPG, were you trying to get good mileage or just riding? Take care Zippo.
Hammering it, normal riding, playing around the yard....the thing sips the fuel! Big Bill is getting in the 45-50mpg range. Still great mileage! Ah...to live in the South where I could ride all year round! lol Cheers Sir Pipe! Zip~

Feel bad for you, I can't stand tecumseh motors
You and me both 720!! But, it pays the bills, and helps with the tool fund in the shop. Cheers! Zip~
