J’ai 6 leds Barrina par étage et c’est fabuleux. J’ai mélangé entre jaune et blanc-rose. Mes Hoyas sont en très grande forme! Pour soutenir mes leds, j’ai installé des fils en métal ajustable. C’est beaucoup mieux que les chaînes, je vous assure. Pour les semis, c’est très facile d’abaisser les leds pour cette culture. Pour la germination, c’est aussi un gros plus! Barrina, c’est de très bons leds. J’ai aussi de petits leds de 2 pieds pour une petite étagère et c’est très bien! Bon jardinage!
These are great shelves. They are used in many restaurants. I have several of the shorter ones. When I watched you assembling it, I laughed, he's putting the shelf on upside down! Then realized, for plant purposes, that is probably much better! Thanks!

I have something similar that I built with shelving and lights that I purchased separately, but it doesn’t have the wheels or the plastic sheeting for the shelves. I have to admit I’m a little jealous. Ok, I’m a lot jealous. Mine is in my bedroom over carpet so I could really use that plastic shelf sheeting to protect my floors. 😂

I bought a boot tray to go on my shelves and put one on the floor under my shelf. Works great!
In Amazon US, it’s $199 AND. A $40 coupon! So, 160 total. Not a bad deal. These are the shelves I’ve been using for a long time, but you do have to buy the shelf liners separately. Barrina sends it all together with instructions, which is what makes it such a deal, imho. I am surprised that you put the shelves that far apart towards the top, though. I did that at first, but later moved upper shelves closer together so I could put larger bins at the bottom. Isn’t it amazing how our plants journey morphs? Great video, Jeff!! ❤

One Becky to another, I fully agree with everything you said. I have the same shelves and similar lights, without the liners or wheels. I also don’t have the reflectors, which would probably help with the amount of light the plants are getting. I paid close enough to $200 for my set-up, but am missing some components that I really wish I had. I’ve looked for liners like that, so now at least I know where to buy them. It’ll probably put me over the $200 mark, but worth it, just wish I could have bought it as a bundle for less.

The Christmas cactus is actually hard to find. They pump out thanksgiving ones around Christmas here in Canada cause they are easier to care for. It’s more about its light cycle too but yours should bloom
Lots if in the right light conditions. Darker for longer at night for a few weeks.
I just bought 2 Barrina lights as per your recommendation and I think they are are awesome! I have a 48" and a 24" one now. I have my plants in like 4 or 5 separate locations now as I have found the best places in my house to keep them and with the help of various light fixtures I am doing pretty well with plant keeping. I have a Burl Marx and I love how quirky that plant grows. I recently gave a cutting plant to my daughter. I am curious as to how the Reflector is doing? Have you had any luck with these cuttings? i would love to see an update on your not so rare plants like your aglonemas and dieffenbachias and also your Peace Lily!! I see a bit of it in the background here. I just bought a huge one on sale at Home Depot on sale for $16 reg like $45-48. And it must have just come in because they had not killed it yet. Every leaf is huge and gorgeous! My Home Depot is horrible usually with their larger plants so I was very lucky to catch this one when I did.
Wish it looked better aesthetically. Way cheaper to buy the shelf and the barrina lights separately

Hey Jeff great video I love the shelf system with the lights. How much is the shelf system going for because I'm thinking of doing a remake of my grow space also I noticed you have a Hoya plant are they hard to take care of? I've been interested in starting with another plant species and I like the hoyas do they have the same care requirements as pothos and philodendrons?

Hey Joey! Hoyas are pretty easy to care for.... I let mine dry out and then give them a good watering. Other than that they typically like medium light.

Yup the golden goddess is a pain to prop. I just purchased a heat Matt and grow light because they take forever and moss has been the only way. I’ve got these shelves in storage so I need to get them and purchase the light cause I need a prop area too

How do you find the T8 lights for the leaves? I have some and the t5’s, but opted to use t5’s for my shelf for fear of burning leaves

Hi Jeff, great video 🥰 I just wonder though how you manage to keep up with plant chores. I have about 25 plants and finding it overwhelming specially that I think my monstera has thrips. Haven’t seen any but I see damage on the leaves. Anyway, it’s a lot of work! Thanks for all for great videos 🙏🥰
I usually do all my chores on my days off. Watering can sometimes be annoying at times but otherwise it's actually quite relaxing for me lol
@@EverythingPlants its the pests part that is draining and time consuming 😩 My monstera is turning yellow, not sure what is going on and how to deal with it! I just decided to ignore it and do my best 🤣
Can you do a follow up post on how these shelves hold up over time by chance? I keep seeing them but the price tag is a bit iffy... From what I've seen of them being put together I'd worry about how sturdy they are long term with any weight on the shelves.
Of course! Personally I don't have any concerns with the weight of these prop boxes and plants. I would consider this a medium duty shelf and don't see these items being an issue. Now I would have items like heavy cans of paint stacked up, but for its intended use....it will be just fine.

$30 is an IKEA shelf made from metal, not plastic, plus another $30 for lights and wiring. $199 for a plastic shelf with standard LEDs is robbery
This isnt a plastic shelf...it is metal for sure. I don't know about the rest of the costs, but I'll look up the individual lights. I'm not saying "BUY THIS" but simply showing my solution to all my props!
