I may have found a dupe for the very expensive mother grow lights. Watch me unbox, compare the two lights, and give you my honest opinion! Barrina grow lights vs mother grow lights.

I also have both, the 32 mother and the Barrina and I had the mother for more than a year before the Barrina came out and I found you had to keep a healthy distance if you don’t wnt to bleach your leaves and keep on top of the calmag as well. And the Barrina I’ve had right before the summer hit and you can set it closer but I love especially because it’s taller for my plants that grow up poles. I also found the mother gets really hot makes my plant room very very warm, in my opinion it gets like that because it’s made of mostly medal unlike the Barrina. But overall I love the Barrina so much more for the height and simplicity of the foot button. May not be as strong but I don’t find that an issue at all. Also they usually have it discounted on Amazon all the time.

Please tell me more about calmag?! I have some, but not sure how to use it. I do notice that too close to the light leaves will bleach.
@@VeryKinkyCurl calmag is just a supplement you can add to strengthen cell walls and I helps with bleaching leaves and even gives a darker greener appearance to leaves, I use it along with fertilizer usually diluted half the recommended in the instructions. I’ve noticed a big difference in the color of my leaves and the over all richness of the green.
Mother lights are overpriced imo
Mother is overpriced. Finally there are cheaper alternatives. The price is insane for a LED tube.
I just ordered the 4 pack of Barrina light bars from Amazon during prime days, and I’m IN LOVE with them already! I also got a lux meter finally and the Barrina lights give off great (and nice warm sun-like) light! 10/10 will buy more of them eventually!

I have both lights. I like the Barrina more, not just because of the price. My plants seem to be responding better to Barrina also.

I'm wanting to get the Barrina T10 (stand light). I have Barrina lights in all my cabinets and I really like them.
The barrina use onboard "drivers" they are non isolated and they aren't rated for what they advertise for. the ppfd is terrible but if you have plants that grow in shade then they are ok.
I have the Mother grow light and was thinking about buying the Barrina but after watching several vid reviews about the Barrina I'm going to pass. The light on the Barrina is just too blinding for me.
Also if u want a better deal on mother if u have a eBay in Canada u can get those lights almost half price on there sometimes I have 115 for my last 32 inch mother light so yes a WAY better deal then the website or Amazon

I don’t think the mother light is burning super hot to me I have 5 of them n I do like that get warm in cabinets because it keeps the temp up to benefit my plants as well
I want a mother light bad but is too expensive for me so i got the barrina standing got 2 before they sold out best investment i did
Oh my gosh yea! For the size and price it’s pretty good! Also, I’m really happy that it’s able to light up the corner and now my gloriosum and anthuriums won’t look so faded
I was able to get the mother spectrum 32 and love it so far. It does get a bit warm but as long as you keep a good distance it’s great. I have mine hanging off a shelf. I like the look better than standing.
Just fyi if your grow light isn’t hot on the outside that means all the heat is on leds inside n it will diminish your lights over time with the heat on the leds. I have 3 of the mother grow lights n it’s a good thing the heat is on the outside n not on the inside to me the heat isn’t that hot but everyone has there opinions

That said, some of my favorite lights are Barrina, Sansi, and Soltech. Maybe I’ll try Mother at some point. Everyone seems to love them.

Barrina is a mixture of warm, pure white and red chips , that’s why it look warm. Mother probably is 4000 or 5000 K ?
Ohhh true! I just checked the specs the mother is 3914K and I’m not sure what the Barrina one is but - you’re right! I totally forgot to check that out, thanks!
This Barrina light has 3000K , 5000K and IR (infra red). I bought some 3000K led strips last year and to be honest they create quite warm mood in my room, i like it:)
