Thanks for making the video I’ve been debating buying one of these, we live in a secluded area and the local joint is no joke expensive. Two family pizzas run about 60+. Also I just wanted to comment to help your algorithm
At the phone app you set the grill to 200 degrees, how did it then get to the near 500 degrees you measured it at with your meter? You didn't show any temperature adjustments.
The temp sensor is outside of the pizza oven. It will get much hotter than the actual smoker temp. This is why you should use an ir gun to make sure your around 500. I find if set the smoker to 200 to 225 it puts my stone at a good temp for the type of pizzas we like to do.
Question…I used corn meal to slide the pizza off the peel but it burnt on the stone. I see others using Semolina flour. Will flour burn as badly as the corn meal did?
Yes they will all burn badly. You really want to just use a thin coat of flour. Pizza is an art, but once you get it down it becomes second nature. Keep practicing with less and less each time. If you watch our pizza video we have some great tips.
Dom/n that pizza looked of the chain !!! OMG Not just the easiest smoker but a wood burning pizza oven ! Surprise everyday, especially with Ant from Italy , ??????? SHADY, old friend doughboy ? Suss ! BAYVILLE NY
1. will this device fit on a Grilla Grillas Silverbak? 2. what is pizza mode? 3. pizza peel steel (in video) vs. wood? 4. do you have a good link tot hw product (it might have different sizes)? thank you
I see you also have a Weber gas grill. Do you find that you use that as well? I'm asking because I'm thinking of replacing my Weber with a GMG smoker. Was hoping it could pull double duty.
@@boostedmaniac GMG staff are awesome. They are sending me one and I didn't buy it from them directly. They have sent me a bunch of stuff in the past when I just ask them a question. BIG FAN OF GMG. Thanks.
It’s neat but I honestly don’t get it. We make pizza on our JB all of the time without the attachment and it comes out fabulous. We just use a perforated stainless cooking sheet.
This attachment alone is probably tipping the scales in favor of the GMG. Looking to buy a pellet smoker. So many options out there but none have a setup like that. How have you been liking your grill?
I’ve had my GMG JB for over a year with zero issues and great results. Purchased the pizza dime kit and at Central Market right now to buy flour, yeast and fresh mozzarella.
Hope you bought one. I have had my Daniel Boone GMG for 6 years, it's nothing but reliable. I have modified it (Don Godke's downdraft, jenn-air cast iron grates, cheap chrome steel rack for 2nd tier cooking) and it's just... hands off the best. It's rusty now because I've ridden it hard and put it away wet, but it'll get a paintjob soon. Makes smoking and cooking painless and hands free. I even put long cooks on and go to the store...
2 years too late but should look into grilla grilla silverback. Two word. Stainless steel. It’s built thicker and is double insulated. GMG might give you more options but as for as quality. Silverback beats it hands down for the price range
I bought this as my first propane grill. It's been a fun, learning experience th-cam.com/users/postUgkxCx5fHawkK9OoV-ojFrY8JLnZrFwAmvUt . I think it's a bit too pricey after looking at other grills, but it wasn't hard to put together and it works really well. I love the side burner option for heating food during a power outage. I have an electric stove and live in the South (Hurricane season), so this was a bonus. I also bought a cover for it and it has protected it nicely (the Char Broil All-Season Grill Cover 3-4 Burner: Large). Every few grill sessions, I take the rack (or grate) and burner covers off and clean them with a non-abrasive scrubby and mild soap. I wipe the excess off of the bottom as well, taking care to avoid the gas and pilot lines.
The music is terrible and ruins your vid. Can't hear you speak. And more importantly, you never said what the total cook time is?? Moving on to another GMG pizza vis tutorial. Try again
Just got a GMG… I need this in my life.
Awesome buddy!

Excellent Video. I just purchased the Pizza Kit and this video was just what i needed to get started. Thank you!
Thank you very much check out some of the amazing cooks we have done with it!
Great video! Very informative as I just purchased a GMG. Thank you. (Ditch the music...not needed at all.)
Agreed. I clicked through this video so fast because of it.
Ditch the bossy attitude... non need for it
Really cool to meet you in person!!! Arkansas kinda boring
You too buddy!
AWESOME stuff. My next addition!
Thank you I am posting a full hint and tip video on making the pizza and successfully getting it from the peel to the oven. Please stay tuned

The day Emma learnt not to put her face so close to the grill @5:13 ^__^ love it!
LOL
Excellent work
Thank you my friend!

Fantastic, enjoy!
Damn....those are some tasty looking pies!
Thank you!

my local take n bake pizzas are 14 to 16 inches in diameter, will that fit in this oven
You should have no problems at all.
what is the diameter of the port on the pizza oven? I have a different brand of grill but want to know if it would fit before I buy one. Great video.
Was thinking the same thing. Would love to get this for my silverback
@@williamjstites it worked on my Traeger
Awesome!! Does it has to be on pizza mode?
Would the normal setting work?
Thanks, just got mine today
I would put it in pizza mode, but lower temp to 225-250
@@DRSmokeNJ thanks for the good info
🍻🥃🍻🥃🍻
Liked and subbed. I gotta get one of those smokers/grills! I can get rid of two other grills having this thing!
Thank you my man! Good luck and let me know if you want to see any other videos! Always looking for input.
a rolling docker wold take care of those bubbles
Good tip
Your grill is really Kitt reborn as a gmg... that scrolling led..
LOL call it night rider!!
Hello is it possible to know the exact outside diameter in cm of the tube that will go into the GMG please
I am sorry what tube are you referring too?
Ok no problèm
If you let me know exactly what you're referring to i can measure
the outside diameter of the tube which is below the furnace
Please
I see you also have a Weber gas grill. Do you find that you use that as well? I'm asking because I'm thinking of replacing my Weber with a GMG smoker. Was hoping it could pull double duty.
I use my Weber grill maybe 5 times a year now if that.
Just replaced my Genesis with a Boone.. have yet to try a steak on it, but glad to hear I won’t miss it much
About how long were the bake times for the pizzas? I know you mentioned turning after two minutes on the first one.
Between 4-6 Minutes at most we did them very thin.
Excellent. Thank you for the response.
Nice pizza attachment, shame it's not wide enough so you can move the pizza easier
The pizza is about 16" we just did another video you can check out.
What temperature did you do, I set it at 370 today and it ran through half a hopper in 1.5hrs 😭 also burnt the bottom before the top was done.
try 225 and work your way up slow.
What did your buddies shirt have on it!?
Funny, my stone was broken when I got mine a week ago. Even funnier, the box and packing didn't look like yours. Where can you find a new stone?
Where did you buy it from?
@@DRSmokeNJ Pellethead on Amazon. They wouldn't reply and I got my money back but nowhere is a stone.
Greg Wiltshire you can try GMG site and do find a dealer.

Does the pizza get any smoke is what im wondering? Or is it just baking it?
very little smoke but it is faint. Just like getting it out of a traditional wood fired pizza oven.
It’s neat but I honestly don’t get it. We make pizza on our JB all of the time without the attachment and it comes out fabulous. We just use a perforated stainless cooking sheet.
You would understand if you had one trust me it makes a huge difference.
Damn...... will that fit on my treager lil Texas ?
Not sure you might want to check in some forums
Why does your prime plus not have a folding front shelf?
This is a Prime grill not a prime plus. It was right before I switched to the Plus.
Where are you getting your dough? I like that it’s already pressed out.
Jim we purchased from a local pizza shop around us. Much easier sometimes.
When you checked the temp of the pizza stone what device did you use? Need it!
look up a IR Thermometer
Appreciate the video!! How big of a pizza can you fit in it?
Around 12-14"
My app doesn't give me a pizza mode option. Did you have to update your app?
Make sure you are on the newest Firmware and the newest App.
This attachment alone is probably tipping the scales in favor of the GMG. Looking to buy a pellet smoker. So many options out there but none have a setup like that.

What’s with everyone blurring out t shirts in their videos?
How big is the opening to the pizza oven? And what size peel do you have?
Opening is Just over 16" Wide. The Peel is 14"x14".
Does the spatula come with the pizza oven?
No it does not. They cost $20
Music wrecks this video.
Kill the background music.
But it’s SO GOOD. I was head-banging so hard.
Damn that’s an easy sell. I wasn’t planning on it when I buy but....has to happen🤣
The black grill looks like it came with a gum ball dispenser.
thats a lot of work for pizzas but I think im going to buy one lol
It's a lot of fun once you get how to manage the raw dough and the temps, people love coming over for pizza night.
How long did it take to get up to ~500F?
About 15 minutes with the lid closed.
Great video but please lose the music.
Thank you unfortunately I would have to remove this one. Our next video will not have music.
Does the peel come with the pizza oven kit?
No the pizza peel does not come with the kit.
Great video! Did you find it heated evenly? Do you think you could get the same result without having to rotate the pizza?
Don rotated 3 times ,that is , to cook evenly !BAYVILLE NY
even professional pizza ovens require moving the pizza around.

Is it me or did that kid age like 30 years while that pizza cooked?
Music overlays🤦it would be nice to hear a 1/4 of what he said LOL
Music is to loud, hard to hear instructions
I am going to try and lower it.
@@DRSmokeNJ just get rid of the music. It's just clutter.
Ditch the music and use a microphone, hard to hear you in the beginning when your away from the camera.
working on that lol
Turning seems to be a pain.
Background music is way to loud
Sorry we are learning as we go and audio is important. If you watch the later videos we move in to mics now which help a ton!
@@DRSmokeNJ gotta start somewhere. Preciate you not getting offended by my comment.
No way we like to hear feedback thanks again!
Could you please turn off the music so I can hear what you’re saying?
It wasn't bad at all...
Yikes this kit costs more than the grill.
Ahh the link goes to a stand alone oven. The one that fits the GMG is 134.00, much more reasonable.
yea they are very reasonable
Why do people have to put annoying background music in videos?
Music is VERY annoying.
You need a better mic can’t here you
We have upgraded since this video
Why do people ruin their videos with loud horrible music?
Why cant you just enjoy the video? He's putting in all the effort and the money to entertain you and all you do is just - NOTHING.
