    Lyrics:
    Oh, Dear Rumi,
My little baby I love you,
    You move me, my son,
    You improve me,
    Cause you’re the one.
    The wisdom of the word,
The source of all of creation,
Ecstasy of devotion and the sound of every action,
Striving to hear and see all life an anomaly,
Never lose that wonder, the necessity of mystery,
Be drunk with passion and the peaceful rivers of love,
Close both your eyes and hear the distant flight of doves,
When you’re grown up in your prime,
Stay away from God and crime,
Embody justice for this tormenting, tormented world,
You will learn something every day,
Don’t dip your toes, go all the way,
Be the change you want to see and be the man you want to be.
    Oh dear Rumi
    The supreme poet of love
You move me like the sun,
Become the truth and hold it above all,
Get lost in the breeze of the trees that stand tall,
Don’t you realize that it’s all about knowledge and love,
Close both your eyes and hear the distant flight of doves.
When you’re grown up in your prime,
Stay away from God and crime,
Embody justice for this tormenting, tormented world,
You will learn something every day,
Don’t dip your toes, go all the way,
Be the change you want to see and be the man you want to be.
    Man you want to be..
    Dear son,
I pray that your days are long, and your path matches your song,
Your smile is worth every sacrifice in this life, your breath now my reason to go on,
I love you more than I ever could imagine for any being on this earth,
When you’re grown up in your prime,
Stay away from God and crime,
Embody justice for this tormenting, tormented world,
You will learn something every day,
Don’t dip your toes, go all the way,
When you’re grown up in your prime,
Stay away from God and crime,
Embody justice for this tormenting, tormented world,
You will learn something every day,
Don’t dip your toes, go all the way,
Be the change you want to see and be the man you want to be.

There is nothing more powerful and deep than somebody telling their child that they are the universe to them - I never had a chance to be a father though I've been married for nearly 25 years we couldn't have children but it doesn't change the fact that our children are the future and must be nurtured and protected from this cruel crime filled world with knowledge and pure unadulterated LOVE

I remember when I was 17, you held a concert in Armenia with SOAD and it was a free and open concert for everyone. I was fully prepared to travel from my small town in Iran and see you in person. I couldn't because my cousin was murdered a few days before the concert.
I'm 25 y.o. now and still sad about missing it. Still mad about it. But I'm sure I will come to your concert one day and see you at last.

its because alot of artists start out doing their own style, then get big and other people start making the music for them and decisions for them. At that point the artist has lost their original self and then years later they lose those big companies and have to do things on their own again and the music wont have that same personality to it ever again. those companies legitimately drain those artists souls from them.

These lyrics appear to be a heartfelt message from a parent, addressed to their child, named Rumi. The lyrics express deep love and affection for the child, emphasizing the transformative impact the child has had on the parent's life ("You move me, my son, You improve me"). The parent acknowledges the profound wisdom and significance of the child's existence, referring to them as the "wisdom of the word" and "the source of all of creation."
The lyrics also touch upon themes of devotion, action, and mystery. There is a call to embrace life with wonder and passion, to listen to the beauty of nature ("hear the distant flight of doves") and to remain open to the mysteries of existence.
As the child grows older, the parent offers guidance on living a meaningful and virtuous life. They encourage the child to embody justice, to continually learn and grow, and to strive to make positive change in the world. The lyrics convey a sense of hope and optimism for the child's future, urging them to be true to themselves and to pursue their dreams with determination and integrity. Overall, the lyrics convey a message of love, guidance, and encouragement from a parent to their beloved child.
    *Analysis of the Lyrics:*
Theme: The lyrics express a mother's love and guidance for her son, Rumi.
Structure: The lyrics can be divided into two parts:
Part 1 (Stanza 1-3): This part focuses on Rumi as a child and the profound impact he has on the speaker (presumably his mother).
She acknowledges his ability to inspire and improve her.
The references to "the wisdom of the word" and "the source of all creation" might elevate Rumi to a spiritual or metaphorical level.
Part 2 (Stanza 4-6): This part offers advice for Rumi's future as he grows up.
The speaker emphasizes the importance of:
Maintaining a sense of wonder and mystery.
    Balancing passion with love.
    Finding inner peace.
Embracing justice and making a positive impact on the world.
The lines "Don't dip your toes, go all the way" and "Be the change you want to see" encourage full commitment and action.
    Literary Devices:
Repetition: The use of "you" throughout reinforces the focus on Rumi.
Metaphor: Rumi is compared to the "source of all creation" hinting at a deeper significance.
Imagery: "peaceful rivers of love," "distant flight of doves" create sensory experiences.
Personification: "Close both your eyes" addresses the doves directly.
    Overall Tone:
The lyrics are filled with love, encouragement, and a touch of caution regarding the world's challenges. The speaker wants Rumi to embrace life fully while staying true to his values.
    Possible Interpretations:
The lyrics could be interpreted literally as a mother's advice to her son.
There might be a deeper meaning, with Rumi representing a spiritual path or a way of life.
    Additional Notes:
The reference to "Rumi" suggests the speaker might be drawing inspiration from the famous Persian poet Jalāl ad-Dīn Muhammad Rūmī.
The lyrics leave room for the listener to connect with the themes of love, guidance, and personal growth.

@Railqun Focus on developing your own self and your own moral code. No need for a one-size-fit-all moral code that come from a book written a thousand years ago. Be happy, let other people be happy. That "whore" has chosen her own lifestyle and is experiencing life like as we all do. Tough to judge from outside. Respect the difference in others. Knowing our own values help evaluate the entourage and the life you want. The revelation doesn't come from God or some supernatural stuff, but from learning who you are. Who you are will dictate what you want.

    Oh, dear Rumi
My little baby, I love you
    You move me, my son
    You improve me
    'Cause you're the one
The wisdom of the word, the source of all of creation
Ecstasy of devotion in the sound of every action
It's driving to hear and see all life, an anomaly
Never lose thy wonder, the necessity of mystery
Be drunk with passion and the peaceful rivers of love
Close both your eyes and hear the distant flight of doves
When you're grown up in your prime
Stay away from God and crime
Embody justice for this tormenting tormented world
You will learn something every day
Don't dip your toes, go all the way
Be the change you wanna see and be the man you want to be
Oh dear Rumi, the supreme poet of love
You move me like the sun
Become the truth and hold it above all
Get lost in the breeze of the trees that stand tall
Don't you realize that it's all about knowledge and love?
Close both your eyes and hear the distant flight of doves
When you're grown up in your prime
Stay away from God and crime
Embody justice for this tormenting tormented world
You will learn something every day
Don't dip your toes, go all the way
Be the change you wanna see and be the man you wanna be
    That you want to be
Dear son, I pray that your days are long
And your path matches your song
Your smile is worth every sacrifice in this life
Your breath now my reason to go on
I love you more than I ever could imagine
    For anything on this earth
When you're grown up in your prime
Stay away from God and crime
Embody justice for this tormenting tormented world
You will learn something every day
Don't dip your toes, go all the way
When you're grown up in your prime
Stay away from God and crime
Embody justice for this tormenting tormented world

In which city of Iran did Rumi live?

    • @soheylzabeti2943
      @soheylzabeti2943 3 ปีที่แล้ว +9

@@Blooppenheimer According to Wikipedia He was born in Balkh which is in Afghanistan nowadays and he died in Konya which is in Turkey now.
I guess in that era both Afghanistan and Turkey were part of Iran but I'm not sure.
He writes his poems in Persian but he has some poems in other languages.

@@morezaei6598 "missing the point yourself my friend!" yes it's not important what is his nationality but it is important his thoughts came from which country and culture. For example about Obama it's not important who are his parents what is their nationality and religion, because his thoughts comes from American culture and protestantism. Rumi is commentator and promoter on the thoughts of other Persian philosophies and mystics. It's important.
