      too many layers of foil for mee (but I did not click the dilike button) - it won't let out any moisture even with less layers 😉

      I think it's possible some of those dislikes are due to the information in the disclaimer. Some people may feel that a tutorial on a subject should be from a person with some experience in that activity; as opposed to someone posting a tutorial on how to do something where the tutorial is literally the first time the teacher has ever done that thing. This seems like a somewhat reasonable response for at least some portion of people looking for a tutorial to provide them with advice from an expert.

      @@cypher6083oh cmon. It’s not like she’s an amateur teaching nuclear physics. Seriously, some people just don’t know where to stop. This tutorial was very good actually and helped me to learn how to transport my plants. So take a chill pill. Or buy a plant and meditate for a minute 🙄

    Overall a good concept and thanku for all advice! I think maybe you can use half the plastic wrap u used and a bit less bubble wrap lol but all around a good concept! Maybe a smaller box too or a paper bag for shipping?

    Very informative! How long can plats survive inside of the box? Say if tou are shipping internationaly and it takes about 5 days. Would the plants survive?

      I would use tape made of paper.. (used by painters for masking?) & aluminium foil to wrap it all and keep in place..that way is easier to unfold it all around the plant & less plastic is used.

    Yes you did a nice packaging...but why don't you directly pack along with the pot if at last you use a big box placing everything...in starting I thought it was a great packing which really is but without that big box outside...use something which makes it as compact as possible...

    • @plantmanp
      @plantmanp  4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It was literally our first and last time doing it. No thought as far as the sz of the box was put into it. We weren’t concerned about the usage of materials efficiently, we just wanted to grab a box and get the plant safely to someone. If we were to do it again, we would definitely use a smaller box though! Thanks for watching!

    • @OfficialLeighaAshley
      @OfficialLeighaAshley 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      with soil + pot= more weight and more money to ship. and the plant needs some air in the box so it doesn’t turn into hot mush- she used a great sized box!

    You did a good job but the box is too large. Plus you used too much packing material. Shipping is by weight. If you are running a business you gotta keep that cost low as possible or you will start shifting that to the customer. I want all of us to win!!

    Why do you take the soil out?

    • @thairinkhudr4259
      @thairinkhudr4259 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Some destinations reject and destroy things that have soil in them, because soil can carry all sorts of nasty pathogens that can spread in the environment of the destination. This is why most plant sellers don't sell plants with soil in them. Unless you're shipping locally and not going through any customs or things like that. Depends on the destination.
