These guys were an amazing duo when they were together. And after Nash left for Phoenix I remember Suns vs. Mavericks games being the most entertaining and exciting games on TV.
I live in Dallas and work at the Mavs Shop in NorthPark mall and Dirk comes in every sunday and sits in the back of the stock room and plays NBA 2K12 and he plays with the Mavericks every time. The only thing Dirk changes is that he puts Nash back on the Mavs and plays with him.
nash became 2 time mvp and nowitzki won nba championship. both of them are successful athletes. and with great personality which makes me a fan of both players. love them.
Two becomes best players in NBA, regardless of their setback or everyone things them! It taught me Believe in yourself despite of what everyone thinks of you.

this goes to show that you don't have to be the best in the country or the best in NCAA d1 or a super athlete with born talent to succeed not just basketball but any sport because with hardwork , determination and a ambitious desire to progress you can make it don't let people put you down because the only person that can stop you is your self because people talk shit because they're mad at the fact that you are trying to pursue your goals

You always just think how great the Mavs could have been if Nash and Dirk had stayed together. Then again, maybe them staying together would have not allowed them to grow so much.
He had an awful back which started acting up in 99 and they saw throughout the years how bad it was, so they thought he wouldn't last once he got in his 30s... It's just that he joined a team with the greatest medical staff and those future injuries never did happen.
I'm glad Nash won 2 MVPs as not many people fully acknowledge traditonal point guards anymore, but I just wish Dirk would've won at least 1 MVP as he year in and year out keeps the MAvs in the playoffs, and for many years, championship contention. He is the sole savior of the Mavs, and the Mavs would be like Cleveland without Lebron or the Lakers without Kobe. I'm very sad he hasn't won a MVP.

I think Pheonix fan's were begging Nash to go to Lakers or another championship contender team. They know Nash gave his best years of his life to the city, and they just want him to win a championship, doesn't matter if it's with Pheonix or not.
Because its generalizing every Asian language as being the same. Many Asian people including myself are often annoyed when being asked if they're Chinese just because they're asian, when actually I'm Korean.

I don't think Dirk woukd have won it with Nash because they got along too well. He needed Jason Terry to get him out of his shell and Jason needed Dirk to keep him line because when Jason was with the Hawks, there wasn't enough basketballs for him to shoot. Good working marriage with Jason Kidd being the therapist and Tyson Chandler bringing the toughness.
