3 of probably my most favorite players of all time got picked simultaneously. Kobe Bryant, my favorite player of all time period. Rest in Peace Mamba. Peja Stojakovic, the reason why I started shooting 3 pointers (thank you Dirk for winning this man a ring). Steve Nash, my favorite point guard of all time, and the only NBA player that I personally requested my aunt and uncle to buy me a jersey of.
Nash's little draft speech struck me as very well put together, s/o to this great player picked at only 15th, like Kawhi Leonard. One has two MVPs, while the other has two Finals MVPs, quite interesting..

Unlike with the most recent drafts, most guys here had at the very least a long tenure in the NBA.
I think it's the era of basketball. This era appreciated bigs and guards did their thing and forwards did their thing.
This newer era is like shoot 3s or else even when it comes to bigs.
Was thinking the same thing. Lot of these guys played for a long time. Rather they were super stars or role players. Forgot Big Z was in this draft. Still sick he couldn't get a ring with LeBron

What great about this 96 nba draft class was not only the name of Ai, Kobe Bryant, steve nash from 1st round to second round but because even the undrafted player like ben walllace is still great 👍 until to last draft....

@@youngbae5187 thats different because they actually had the skill sets for it. (Minus Giannis) but Camby did not have the skill set at all. He played around the basket his whole career and was a good rim protector either way.
@@wondermcthunder8835 at that time, the skill level is lower, so it's totally undrstandble that he plays abit of SF, but his main position was PF. For example, Oscar Robertson was a prolific PG during his time, but his handles were suspect. Compared to now, where Steph does all the fancy shit, Oscar's handles probably wouldn't even suffice as a Center now. even Boogie has a better handles than him, doesn't make it surprising Oscar was a PG.
