Would love you two to make one or more "knit with us" videos. You can just sit and knit together and chat about whatever, and we can watch and knit along with you.
Maybe 4 episodes: 1. Group edition showing/contrasting items where you both knit the same pattern; 2 & 3: 1 twin’s knits; 4: group edition for accessories
For your 2023 recap you could do a photo slideshow / montage with voiceover and add text on screen to reference previous podcast episode that has a fuller description/ review of the garment if applicable. Calling out interesting details of each pattern, yarn is always nice as a viewer. Have a lovely holiday. Waving hello from 🇨🇦
The two Christmas Sweaters are beautiful and charming. They also fit so nicely! A lovely selection of projects, most enjoyable to see! A pleasure to watch. Look forward to seeing all your projects in the near future...
It’s august, but I’m sitting here watching this and loving the Christmas sweaters. I just finished a scarf from a multi colored fall skein, & I just started a pair of fingerless gloves with the same skein so they can go with the scarf. I’m so ready for the cold weather already!🌧️🧶☕️
I wouldn’t mind a super long video! I genuinely enjoy hearing everything you two talk about 🫶🏽 I watched this while knitting up some cable knit hand warmers! I’m fairly new to knitting and the knitting community. I love it, it’s so cozy here!
I’d love to see your goals for 2024. I’m currently knitting the Levitate wrap for my daughter. It is going so fast, but I’m not to the double knitting part yet. Maybe later today or tomorrow.
I hope your daughter loves her wrap! That’s such a good gift! The double knitting takes forever, but is so worth it! You might check some ravelry notes on the bottom band as I seem to remember there being a typo on the needle size when I knit it 🤍 ~Jess
Those sweaters are beautiful. I personally would watch a 3 hour video as I get to sit and craft lol. Maybe choose your favourite sweater or a sweater you have learned from or what you wouldn’t knit again.
Love all your knits. Thanks for the inspiration and for keeping me company while I knit. I'm working on the Sandnes Garn Franky Sweater. I think it's going to turn out lovely and cozy but I have not enjoyed working with the recommended brushed alpaca. Dreading the Italian cast-off but am committed so hopefully with some patience and more of your videos I can get through it. Merry Christmas to you both!
You got this!! I don’t think either of us have used the brushed alpaca but you’ll have to update us on how it is for the bind off! It will be worth it in the end 🤗
Thank you for the sweet comment. Reporting back: The Franky sweater bind-off went great.. I REALLY took my time on every 2-stitch repeat to ensure the super long strand of yarn was not going to stick to itself. Don't think I'll ever knit with this yarn again but the end product is really nice and was worth it! Hugs.
I’ve been tempted to try the new yarn by Sandnes Garn called Poppy and made their pattern for the children’s sweater (Philipe) in size 8 years for my six years old in color Tutti frutti. The sweater is turning out really nice and cozy and I am considering to knit one for myself. I also have same Peer gynt yarn waiting to become Storm sweater. I actually started that one but realized that it doesn’t work as a pattern for combining with tv watching so I left it for some time later. Very excited to hear about the knitter’s retreat in March 🙌
What beautiful Christmas sweaters you both are wearing. I love to see your knits- such interesting patterns. I'm currening working on a Classic Rib Hat by Purl Soho, a Stained Glass Cowl, and a Elorie by Elizabeth Doherty- it is a beautful texture pattern pullover. I'm really enjoying working on all 3 of this projects. I really like the idea of a 2024 Project Goal podcast, sounds like a great way to keep me on track (with only a few detours I'm sure as new knit ideas show up, haha). Wishing both of you and your families a blessed and joyous Holiday Season.
Looking forward to 2023 recap. Maybe do two videos first half of year and second half of year. Lovely episode as always! Wishing you both a Merry Christmas! 🎄
Do the videos however you wish! I look forward to your podcasts! We can always take a break whenever we want if an episode runs long. Do your own thing 😉
As I watch this I am knitting with a boucle, in black no less. I am making the Hegn Pullover in the suggested yarn of Woolfolk Flette Bulky in black as mentioned. I am loving the fabric it's making, but every stitch is intentional so that I don't drop a stitch, otherwise it would be lost! I want more boucle garments now. Really enjoying your videos!
I would watch the 3-hour video but would take breaks in between. I think a good idea would maybe be to divide the makes by seasons. This I think would help give other people ideas on what to knit during for example the fall season. Personally, I am living on a tropical island & only have hot weather here so I basically only knit summer wear all year around.
Hello from Beausejour Manitoba Canada. A little more north and colder than you guys. I am working through kutavakika’s book KnitThis. I made the Juki sweater for my hubby and now I am making the Dirty Caramel Sweater. It’s colourwork. My hubby found a Shetland sheep mill here in Manitoba and this special wooly wool is going into this masterpiece. Great podcast. Good work
Beautiful Christmas sweaters and works in progress. I just finished an Achikochi sweater and I’m in love with it. Can’t wait for your 2023 reviews. Three hours sounds just fine to me!
Thank you for sharing your lovely knits with us. I so enjoyed that. I was knitting on a Terrazzo Neck the whole time, so was nodding in agreement about twisted rib, Jess 😂 I think in the case of the Terrazzo, it does add a signature look, so is worth doing but, my goodness! I am using Woolyknit 4ply merino, held double and also held with Knitpicks kidsilk mohair. It’s making a beautiful squishy and soft fabric. Looking forward to your review of 2023 and all your other videos x
It’s definitely worth it from time to time, but I’m glad I’m not the only one who doesn’t love the process of doing twisted rib 😅 That yarn and pattern sounds lovely!! ~ Jess
Beautiful knitting ladies .Gorgeous yarn and colour choices.Your Christmas jumpers are stunning and timeless.I am very much looking forward to your next episodes in whatever format you choose .I would love to see how your store your projects if you are happy to share.Merry Christmas 🎄 to you both and your family.Looking forward to 2024 with you both .Happy knitting 🧶🌺
I’m on the yoke of the dreyma sweater by Jennifer Steingass. Just doing two Colors. The khaki from isagar and a white. Oh and my own version of the petite knit novice sweater with the stripes from the Anne Ventzle sailor sweater.
My salty days sweater was a lesson in blocking. I thought it was too small until blocked. It turned out wonderful, hope you love yours as much as I do mine
Hi! Your Christmas sweaters are so beautiful! ❤ All your knits are so inspiring to me. I’m just about to cast on a Rhue Sweater, which I am testing for Rebecca of The CreaBea. For your black and white striped sweater, if you have colour catching sheets, I’d say it can’t hurt to throw one in the water when blocking. Just to be extra extra safe. I did that when blocking my Stripe Hype and the sheet came out white but it did give me some peace of mind while the sweater was soaking.
Love your podcasts! Very inspiring. Any videos you make will be great. Year in review would be great. I love to get pattern ideas from podcasts. Keep up the good work! Which I was as productive as you lol
Love your Christmas sweaters. I love the idea of a recap from 2023 and goals for 2024. I’m recording a recap of 2023 in the end of December and it’s fun to see all that we accomplish during the year. 🎊🎄💖
I was working on a candy stripe cowl while watching. You could do your everything you knit episode by chronology- first six months of the year, second six months of the year- might make it especially easy to see themes. The storm sweater is in my January future:)
OMG this podcast is so cute 😭 I was enamored by the christmas sweaters and I'm so glad I stayed to watch!! I think I'll definitely have to knit the Festive Yoke for Christmas next year 💖 As for what I'm knitting, I've got one sleeve left on my Between Petals Pullover (by Teti Lutsak) but I've had it on hold while trying to finish my gift knitting LOL. I'm almost done though, just doing the second in a pair of Thula Mitts (by Erica Heusser)
Hiya, I’ve picked up the Christmas jumper, that seems to be an ongoing project for a few years 😂. I probably should had given up on it ages ago but I keep persevering. Maybe I’ll be wearing it in a couple of years or so 😃. Thank you for a another lovely episode. See you next time. 😊
Hi from New Zealand. Loved this episode. I'm knitting 3 garments. The art deco sweater, the Violeta sweater in a Kal, and the Smaragd pullover. I'm enjoying knitting time over the holidays 😊. Merry Xmas to you both. I love your festive sweaters.
We're always so impressed by people who can handle lots of garments at once! All of those patterns are so beautiful and intricate! 😊Merry Christmas to you too! ❤
I thoroughly enjoy your podcast🎉 Sorry I never took time to leave a comment, but I have watched you from your first episode, YT was so kind to reccommend 😊 The year roundup should be epic, can’t wait🎉 Have a blessed merry Christmas! Greetings from accross the Pond 😊
I’m looking forward to your year in review. It will be interesting to hear what you liked and wore the most as well as what didn’t work out. I hope you do a 2024 goals video also! Thanks for another inspiring video - I cast on another Oslo hat while I was watching. ❤ your 🎄❄️ sweaters.
All the Oslo Hats right now! 🤗 We're excited to get to look back and think about all of the successes and maybe not so successes.. Thank you so much for your kind words! 🥰
Jessica and Rachel, love your podcast so much! I am currently knitting my Christmas socks and will cast on a new pair for my 8-year-old daughter soon once one of my socks is done, so we will have matched Christmas socks for next Christmas. Jessica, I think you look great in that black and white sweater and look really modern. Rachel, I am horrified by your Rit story since I am planning to overdye my sweater with Rit dye!!! XD Hopefully, it will work out for me. Love you guys!
Awe the idea of matching Christmas socks is so sweet!! ❤️ From Rachel here, it wasn’t the dye that smelled, it was the color remover I did before I dyed it again! So if you’re just dying it over the original color, you should be safe from the smell lol! I’m sure it will be worth it! 😊
Really enjoy your podcasts. I finished the Abby sweater a few weeks ago. I did the very long split hem in twisted rib. Not easy. But it looked good after blocking. Sadly though I don’t like the way the hem sits at the front or at the back. It just sort of sticks out!!! Just this afternoon before I watched your podcast, I matressed stitched up the hems. So let’s see if I wear it more now. I can always unpick it Hopefully yours will fall better. Best of luck.
I love your podcast it’s great! I feel very inspired to also start a jumper now! but I have also been so into knitting accessories. Currently I’m knitting a slightly tweaked version of Petitknit penny gloves but on slightly smaller needles for my mum for Xmas. Xxx
Your Christmas sweaters ❤❤❤❤❤ I'm in love. I was wanting to make the Holly sweater but didn't get around to it but I'm hoping for next Christmas I'll get it done
I see you've over 5kk subscribers now - so well deserved. I've cast on the Oslo hat too, and want to make the Eva cardigan and Holly sweater in 2024 #inspired
I’ve so been wanting to start the salty days sweater since it came out; yours is looking lovely. While watching I have been trying to finish the sailor swift top also by Veronica Lindbergh that I started and put away this summer. I’m just trying to clear my needles of old wipes before new year.

I haven’t! I hold fingering double, so a DK might get a more true gauge, but it’s a very simple pattern so I imagine with some math and swatching it would be possible to do on a worsted!
Most Sandnes Garn patterns are only available in book form, but we’ve linked the ravelry pages for reference and pattern information. We’ve ordered from True North Yarn and SKD Yarns before and had good experiences with both stores! Hope this helps!
Perfect recap idea: as you are twins, when you are going through all you knit in 2023 the one that is not talking about their knits can be modeling all the knits so that the other can point out different things they like different things they didn’t construction describe whatever you have the perfect scenario for that and you wouldn’t have to put in all kinds of inserted pictures and what not the person could just model it turn around as you described what you like didn’t like about the project.
Would love you two to make one or more "knit with us" videos. You can just sit and knit together and chat about whatever, and we can watch and knit along with you.

Yes to the 2023 of everything you both knit! Xoxo
Great ideas…. Look forward to seeing more of your 2023 makes roundup… and 2024 goals ❤ merry Christmas 🎄 to you both and your families

@@thosetwinswhoknit she’s really picky so she knows about it and picked out the yarn. 😜
can't wait to watch the videos of everything you guys knit in 2023 :)
I love the Xmas sweaters, and all your sweater choices 😊. I have some white yarn that would be perfect for the holly sweater for this coming season 🦌

Ahh that is such a beautiful blanket design!! The cushion version of that pattern has us absolutely mesmerized 🥰

I think Rachel is wanting to do a Holly Sweater next year too!! ❤️ it will still be just as beautiful next year! :)
I see you've over 5kk subscribers now - so well deserved. I've cast on the Oslo hat too, and want to make the Eva cardigan and Holly sweater in 2024 #inspired
They’re all lovely patterns!! Thank you so much for your kind words!! ❤️
I’ve so been wanting to start the salty days sweater since it came out; yours is looking lovely. While watching I have been trying to finish the sailor swift top also by Veronica Lindbergh that I started and put away this summer. I’m just trying to clear my needles of old wipes before new year.
It would feel so nice to go into the new year being able to cast on anything without having guilt about lingering wips! Best of luck in that goal!
Love both of your Holiday sweaters!!
Thank you so much!! ❤️
Hi! Love your podcast. I am knitting on the Artisane Cardigan for my daughter. About to start the right front zigzag if I can figure out where to start on the chart. I am also knitting the Haraboji Cardigan by Aegyoknit...such a fun construction!
The Haraboji Cardigan is on both our radars for future knits! It’s such a beautiful pattern! Please let us know how it turns out for you! 🤍
As always, such a lovely podcast!!! While watching this, I finished my Serein Sweater by Caidree ☺☺💛💛
Thank you! That sweater looks so cozy! We can’t wait to see how it turns out! 🥰
I worked on my boyfriend’s Oslo hat that I just cast on yesterday evening 😊
It’s such a good simple pattern 🤗 maybe check your length though! lol
@@thosetwinswhoknit it’s my first one so I’ll definitely keep the length in mind haha
Love your sweaters 😍
Love your podcast so much ❤ the Oslo hat calls for dk weight, knitting for Olive is fingering, do you use two strands or change needle size ? I can’t seem to get gauge for the Oslo hat. Any help would be appreciated 😊 thx so much for sharing your beautiful works ❤
Yes I do! I hold fingering double and I go up one needle size, but I am a very tight knitter so it’s pretty common for me to do 😊
i bought the Tutorial for the holly sweater but i dont get how to knit the berries
I was wondering about the Oslo hat and have ever knitted it using worsted weight?
I haven’t! I hold fingering double, so a DK might get a more true gauge, but it’s a very simple pattern so I imagine with some math and swatching it would be possible to do on a worsted!
How did you buy the
No. 5 Kelly Sweater with Slit by Sandnes Garn pattern?
Hi! I bought the pattern book from True North Yarn. Hope this helps!
Where do you buy the Sandra Garn patterns? They aren’t available to purchase on your ravelry links.
