Great Video- You completely validated my post snow wash method I have been using this winter. Only thing I have been doing different is I do initial rinseless application with an IK sprayer and I have rinseless in my battery pressure washer bucket. Love your rinseless wash!
I use your product to wash my fifth wheel camper (full body paint) as well. Need to show the viewing public that has RVs how easy it is to wash the big RVs like your bus. I think this is really where your product stands out as it is hard to wash one of those all at once. Washing methodically on an RV trains you to wash your vehicle with ease. :)
I have been doing something similar with my ryobi sprayer and rinse less wash. Been loving the results all winter long less prep just having to grab a couple things. Plus it keeps my pressure washer stored away. Grad to know DIY is encouraging the process and definitely showed me a couple ways to improve the process. Thanks you guys rock!
@@diydetailofficial just 3 minutes rinsing off road salt with distilled water at 600 PSI is surprisingly effective and efficient (pretreated with DIY Rinseless)

My car was just like that one last week, as im in Cleveland as well. Presoak with rinseless, then another rinsleless spray followed by the Legacy Sponge. Only needed to touch up some areas around the emblems and front grill the next day after dirty water seeped out.
Very appropriate music to this video. DIY Rinseless wash is an amazing product and can do heavy work. We will miss the Veloster but look forward to the Jeep. Thank you for another educational video.

I found myself reaching out to adjust the volume a lot... Up to hear Yvan speak and down for the musical interludes. Keep up the great work! @beijingbiden5931 Most definitely, but with the EZClean, you have a shower setting, a 15° tip and a turbo Nozzle along with 0.8 gpm, so you can use it to rinse off the wheels after cleaning them as well. It's totally not a necessity, but I've really enjoyed it for rinseless
Hey Yvan, I have the same Ryobi 600 PSI pressure washer you used. I’m glad to see it’s sufficient enough to use. My plan is to use it in my detailing jobs, and follow up with a rinse less wash as my contact wash.
Merci pour cette vidéo, très pratique cette façon de garder notre véhicule propre l’hiver ici au Québec . Je vais regarder pour le Ryobi, semble très pratique!! 🚗
Great video promoting the power of the rinseless wash. When a car is that bad, doesn't the water get very dirty, thus your using dirty water on the last panels of the wash. Thus, drying off dirty water. For dirty cars, I usually use a second bucket of rinseless to rinse out my sponge, then go dunk sponge back into original bucket. More work, yes. Am I over thinking this?
$300-400 dollar keg, plus whatever the attachments go for i.e. hose, trigger and etc, then throw in the Ryobi with batteries and a charger, gotta be pushing $600, 2 keg applications, rinse, rinseless wash etc etc, take it to a car wash, get that crap off asap, worry about a detail in the spring. Nice that he hit the drivers inside door jamb, yet didn't do the hatch or the passenger door jamb ? I'm not knocking him, I do use the rinseless wash on my vehicles but only light dirt/dust/pollen. The whole foam cannon with a compressor, quick disconnects, wands, tips, et al kinda cool to do, but in all reality it's just as much perhaps less work to drag out the hose and buckets...always interesting videos....thx
I have over 1k in pressure washer half the time I'm lazy and trust me I don't feel like taking any of them out. I walked away from traditional washing, sometimes I feel weird washing the old way lol
If I may make a suggestion for efficiency. Skip the detail keg. Fill the bucket with rinseless and pretreat with the Ryobi sprayer. The solution plus the pressure will push the heavy stuff down and start the cleaning process. The rinseless will not mess up the Ryobi as it's designed to be chemical resistant. I use a Worx Hydroshot 750psi model in the same way for my winter wash. I usually do this on the 25 degree nozzle setting. I usually go through 3 of the 5 gallons during this process on my VW Alltrack. I then go into my wash process using 6 double flip rinseless towels. Using a separate towel for each panel keeps me from having to go back to the bucket to clean the media and also keeps the water in the bucket clean. Also from my testing a grit guard leaves about a gallon of water that can't be used in the bucket once again decreasing the efficiency. This works for me and keeps the tools to a minimum and I can wash quickly as here in the Midwest winter wash means it's just above freezing and windy. I can fit everything I need in one 5 gallon bucket.
Yvan in the interest of efficiency, why not use rinseless solution in battery powered pressure washer to avoid the second re-application of rinseless from the keg. I have been doing this for 5 years using a Worx hydroshot (another battery powered pressure washer) in order to avoid further dilution of rinse water laying on panels with application of rinseless solution from sponge. Note my current rinseless passing through pressure washer is pure polymer based with no bad effects on the battery pressure washer. Would the surfactants in DIY rinseless potentially cause issues with the pressure washer pump? The other advantage is no need to worry about water spots with rinseless solution being used for rinse step (just polymer spots which are easily removed in final rinseless wash) in case your water source is hard (high mineral content).
What about the salt underneath the car on the metal framing How do you clean that what works best any tips tricks thanks DIY detailing, you’re a legend
Thanks for the great vid. Useful for MN folks lol. Y’all should partner up with Autofiber to make a mitt on a stick legacy sponge wash pad - would make washing my F-150 easier when it’s cold out
So I've decided to go "all in" on rinsless and acquired a keg from Scott. I did a salty car yesterday (although not as bad as this) and went around the car once with the keg to mist on the rinseless and let it start to do it's job. Then I went around again and set the nozzle for a bit more pressure and essentially used it as a substitute for a pressure washer and sprayed top to bottom trying to push down the gunk off the paint. Used about 1.5-2 gallons total through the keg. I did not rinse before the contact wash. Was that foolish? It seems with the keg you can spray a lot off the car before the contact wash and perhaps avoid rinsing in cases where a rinse might otherwise be best.
What if there is no pressure washer (battery or not) or garden hose but only have pump spray? Can I simply pre-spray with rinseless wash, contact wash with sponge then dry?
Timely posting? Here is the process I used on my BMW today. I sprayed it down with ONP using my 1K sprayer. Then I wiped it off using a wash mitt and a bucket of warm water. Finally I wiped the paint dry with a drying towel.
What if you had added rinse less wash to the bucket before using the handheld power washer? Also, I don't have a keg to pre-soak the car, but I DO have a battery powered power washer similar to the one in the video, couldn't I use that to apply the pre-soak?
One could use the stubby gun attachment for the keg, but it seems like it puts a lot more liquid out and drops the pressure very quick. Is that why you didn’t use it?
I like seeing Yvan use a rinseless wash, but I like the fact that he uses the sponge on each panel, twice. In the winter I do the same thing. I am not sure why I do that. I feel like the car comes out cleaner. Yvan, why are you washing each panel twice? Oh, and to be that guy.... Yvan, you missed a spot. :P Thanks for sharing this. I use the Hydroshot by Worx in the winter when I can. If it is really warm I will get out the garden hose so that I can rinse off the wheel wells, the undercarriage, and wash the car.
Hi Yvan, when doing a similare method, if the car is particularly dirty in some cases is it ever worth to pre spray/foam some APC on lower panels to break down the soil/grit before flushing with a rinseless keg? Or is it not worth the extra APC/product?
Is the DIY Legacy Sponge v2 available for sale on Amazon yet? If not, when do you expect it to be? Also, is there a chance of water spots from forming after hosing the rinse-less solution off, or is this negated when the rinseless is then resprayed onto the vehicle?
That's a little confusing, do you mind explaining why water spots are possible, and how to avoid? I saw some of your comments that said rinsing is the preferred method on a dirty car, but if that means water spots are likely, that's concerning. Thank you for all of your responses!
I just ordered Rinseless and Water Spot remover and when I received my order both products were rock solid due to it being frozen. Are both products still OK to use after they thaw out? Yvan knows what it's like living in Ontario Canada.
Yvan, what are your thoughts about simply piping in the rinseless solution through the ryobi as a replacement for the keg? I ask because I have a Ryobi but no keg and am wondering if I can use the Ryobi for all of my rinseless applications. Would the rinseless ruin the Ryobi?
2 New Product requests ! Could you guys develop a gallon sized Water Spot remover concentrate that can be mixed with water in a sprayer bottle. And secondly a strong hand cleaner from all the chemicals don't want to come off. Just my personal suggestions to expand your sales 🧐
I would ever recommend using a rinse less especially seeing that salt film that was clearly visible on the car.My friends dad a 35 year detailer wanted to see what all the hype surrounding rinse less was about, and to cut a long story short on a freshly corrected car he used a rinseless on the bonnet(hood) with light salt on the car and then afterwards put it under lights and it did scratch the paint I saw it first hand also, and this is from a guy that knows how to clean vehicles for a living Unless your using them on clean panels you will 100% put scratches in the clear coat I’ve seen it first hand
Rinseless is a technique as much as it is a product. Using tools designed to be used with soap rarely gets good results. I’ve been detailing for over 40 years, And using rinseless for 20 years plus
@@rooboy99 yes used it as it should be used he looks after high end vehicles and a experienced detailer,he also tried 3 different rinseless wash on an old panel he had recently polished and I was shocked under the light at the fine marks it left once again in the clear coat
I don’t know anything about keg sprayers, but I’m interested. Any suggestions on a keg sprayer you would recommend? Thank you as always for your knowledge!
Hey Ivan, great video! I believe rinseless wash is a surfactant and polymer combo, does it leave dry polymer spots? I saw that most of the car dried so I was just curious
Does it matter how many gallons of water w/ rinseless I have in my bucket when washing my car? I use only 3 gallons for my hatchback and that includes dunking my IK sprayer for the pre-rinse (maybe another dunking if I need to rinse more before contact). In my head it's because the dirt will just fall under the gritguard anyway.
Wait, are you guys in CLE?? I'm in CLE and want to pick up your Rinseless wash but I'm not thinking it's available at retail. Absolutely love how the red on your car POPS after the wash. Btw, I have a Veloster too. :)
Do you ever use degreaser for tar, asphalt etc or does claying take that away? Always been doing my decon washes before polishing with tar remover, alkaline, iron remover, then schampo, clay and polish. Wondering if I can skip all the chemicals and just wash and clay with iron remover and then be ready for polish, saying time, product and energy?
Leave the tar removal ( DIY Detail Tree Sap Remover) until the end. The wash will remove a good portion of it, and so does DIY Detail Iron Remover . Only if needed after .
Rinseless isn’t waterless. The term Rinseless Wash has been used in the industry for 30 years to describe a product that doesn’t require rinsing after the contact wash.
Great and useful video again :) I tried my first rinseless wash this morning on my GLB and I'm quite happy with the result. The only thing was that I put too much product in my sprayer, the mixture was not liquid enough. I'm using an iK MULTI Pro 12, what is the right dosage for 4-5 liters (I'm sorry, I'm french ;) )
I could tell it was protected how the water was beading even when dirty. I've just always used a drying aid even when the car is protected. It's just my OCD. Have a great day. @@diydetailofficial

my car doesn't look as bad, but the amount of salt they used (maybe because they haven't had much snow for over a year) is a bit too excessive. Thx for the guidance. BTW, looks like your driver front rim looks dinged.

Hi. Thank you for this video with a very dirty car. What about swirl with this method ? Thank you
No swirls
Less than half a gallon?? Of rinseless wash? Or the total out of the keg?
Less than 1/2 gallon was used of water and DIY Detail Rinseless Wash mixed at 256/1 dilution in the keg
I'm always curious what's the upper limit of dirtiness for using a rinseless wash when no hose is available.
You will find out soon.
@@diydetailofficial thanks, although I was thinking without a hose (or cordless pressure washer)
Is the DIY Legacy Sponge v2 available for sale on Amazon yet? If not, when do you expect it to be? Also, is there a chance of water spots from forming after hosing the rinse-less solution off, or is this negated when the rinseless is then resprayed onto the vehicle?
We don’t control Amazon sales yet. If rinsed then water spots are possible.
That's a little confusing, do you mind explaining why water spots are possible, and how to avoid? I saw some of your comments that said rinsing is the preferred method on a dirty car, but if that means water spots are likely, that's concerning. Thank you for all of your responses!

Love Hank !!
Many do.
I just ordered Rinseless and Water Spot remover and when I received my order both products were rock solid due to it being frozen. Are both products still OK to use after they thaw out? Yvan knows what it's like living in Ontario Canada.
They will be fine
I love how amazing this works however can we do the same process on a car that isnt ceramic coated??...
Yes
Yvan, what are your thoughts about simply piping in the rinseless solution through the ryobi as a replacement for the keg? I ask because I have a Ryobi but no keg and am wondering if I can use the Ryobi for all of my rinseless applications.
Would the rinseless ruin the Ryobi?
That works well, but will use more Rinseless solution
@@diydetailofficial great point!
2 New Product requests ! Could you guys develop a gallon sized Water Spot remover concentrate that can be mixed with water in a sprayer bottle. And secondly a strong hand cleaner from all the chemicals don't want to come off. Just my personal suggestions to expand your sales 🧐
Thank you.
LET’S GET IT ON!!!
Thank you.
What if it's not ceramic coated like your veloster? Does it still work as well or is it a different process?
Works the same.
I would ever recommend using a rinse less especially seeing that salt film that was clearly visible on the car.My friends dad a 35 year detailer wanted to see what all the hype surrounding rinse less was about, and to cut a long story short on a freshly corrected car he used a rinseless on the bonnet(hood) with light salt on the car and then afterwards put it under lights and it did scratch the paint I saw it first hand also, and this is from a guy that knows how to clean vehicles for a living
Unless your using them on clean panels you will 100% put scratches in the clear coat I’ve seen it first hand
Rinseless is a technique as much as it is a product. Using tools designed to be used with soap rarely gets good results. I’ve been detailing for over 40 years, And using rinseless for 20 years plus
Did he use the legacy sponge?
@@rooboy99 yes used it as it should be used he looks after high end vehicles and a experienced detailer,he also tried 3 different rinseless wash on an old panel he had recently polished and I was shocked under the light at the fine marks it left once again in the clear coat
@@deanpedley I'm a detailer too but I haven't experienced what you have.
I don’t know anything about keg sprayers, but I’m interested. Any suggestions on a keg sprayer you would recommend? Thank you as always for your knowledge!

@@diydetailofficial Thank you!
Is there DIY Detail ceramic gloss on the vehicle? Kind regards and thanks for the entertaining vid!
It has the DIY Detail stack of 8 and 3 year coating.
Hey Ivan, great video! I believe rinseless wash is a surfactant and polymer combo, does it leave dry polymer spots? I saw that most of the car dried so I was just curious
Correct, it leaves polymer spots that wipe off effortlessly.
Idk if someone asked already but whats the name of the keg thanks!

No particular qualities.
Wait, are you guys in CLE?? I'm in CLE and want to pick up your Rinseless wash but I'm not thinking it's available at retail. Absolutely love how the red on your car POPS after the wash. Btw, I have a Veloster too. :)
No we are based in Omaha, but were recently teaching a class in Cleveland.
What is the battery-pressure washer used in the video?
Ryobi
Is the diydetail Rinseless wash safe to use on ceramic coated cars i have a cquartz coating on my vehicle
Yes, very safe.
I'm gonna miss this car. This is a better way in helping our eco system. Easier, quicker and, safe!
Thank you.
Looks good !
Thank you.
how is this rinseless when you are rinsing it?
Rinseless isn’t waterless. The term Rinseless Wash has been used in the industry for 30 years to describe a product that doesn’t require rinsing after the contact wash.
@@diydetailofficial but you still rinse the car before the contact wash. you did rinse the car. the industry needs a new term because it is a lie
I might have missed it from a previous video, where does one get a keg like this?

@@diydetailofficial many thanks! Every time I see Yvan using this, I think of Anton Chigurh in No Country For Old Men. 😂
Merci, idéalement trempé votre bouteille Vaporisateur dans votre sceau d’eau. Si non ces 4ml par litre d’eau.
@@diydetailofficial Impec merci ;)
Hey Yvan, Now that was a dirty car. How come no drying aid when drying the car? Keep those GREAT videos coming.
No need with Rinseless, and the car is protected with the Stack
I could tell it was protected how the water was beading even when dirty. I've just always used a drying aid even when the car is protected. It's just my OCD. Have a great day. @@diydetailofficial
@@67Jeff nothing wrong with using a drying aid.
Hank looks like awesome Canadian Bacon👀😍
He’s a family pet.
@@diydetailofficial Pigs are notoriously smart👌
Great vid! I do something similar but use a worx hydoshot. Takes me an hour through. Ha. Id like to see how u wash the big bus! 😂
Will do!
I like using two buckets for when the car is very dirty as 1 bucket gets dirty really fast.
That’s fine
Great video as always Ivan👍 I have one question when my car is covered in mud and traffic film (its raining all the time here in Poland) is it better to use Rinseless Wash or All Clean as a pre spray?
Start by trying DIY Detail Rinseless Wash, if it’s not strong enough then DIY Detail All Clean .
Merci

Suggestion: Shoot your videos in 60 frames or more for that smooth slow motion :)
Thank you.
that cat was big also! where is this location, if I can ask?
Hummingbird Tiny Housing in Danville Georgia
Great video! That Ryobi, I could pee harder. It's like the pressure I get from my well water. That's why I go to self-serve car washes. What was the temperature? Im now 72 and STILL was my car by hand, even in the winter! My car is red also, & really enjoyed your filthy car video. Its what cars look like in MY rust belt. Again, thank u. Already sub'd, gave u a 👍'd.
Thank you.
my car doesn't look as bad, but the amount of salt they used (maybe because they haven't had much snow for over a year) is a bit too excessive. Thx for the guidance. BTW, looks like your driver front rim looks dinged.
Thank you. Yes the potholes on I75 took their tool
left front rim is really bent ??????
Yeah I saw that, must have been a serious pothole.
Very rough ride from Cleveland to Atlanta.
I bought the clay towel from your website, I sent a message to you via email asking for the maintenance of the towel after each use,but I was out of luck, no answer whatsoever
Simply rinse and allow to dry.
@@diydetailofficial thank you, going back to the keg,
Is that all the pressure you can get from from it? This guy Dave shows more pressure on his kegs
@@Pedroluvslupe they can go up to 120psi, but it’s not necessary to go that high
Ohhh. Is the Veloster back on the road?
The Veloster was a right off. This was filmed before the end of its career.
Gday Yvan, i thought the Veloster was damaged and a new vehicle was on the cards? Thx for the video mate
This was recorded a few days before the Veloster ended its career.
@@diydetailofficial roger that
Why is the pressure of that keg so low? I don’t see any psi at all
Not looking for pressure, only coverage.
