Sarah I love your enthusiasm and the way you get excited about a car's performance. Sometimes you are like a kid in a candy store. Your take on things is pure and real world. I dare say your attitude reflects that of most guys if they would be honest. You keep things interesting and convey your passion for cars perfectly. 👍👍👍👍
I had the opportunity to drive behind one during a rally lol. That's as good as it gets for me. The exhaust note is like music to my ears! SEND IT SARAH!
Honestly one of THE BEST TH-cam car reviews I've ever watched. Just damn entertaining. The combo of your personality, humor, and all is great. And flooding basement!?! C'mon that's just stupid funny!!!
I believe this was the first of your videos that I watched. Great job on this one and all of them. Thanks for putting the effort and time into what you do. By the way, I love your sense of humor and your nerdiness. :) Keep up the great work!
The magnetic ride control will only change how fast the shock responds to suspension load. So going down the highway you wont feel much of a difference in the ride quality. If you drive the car harder or push it you'll definitely feel the magnetic ride control doing its job.
Didn't see it in the comment section but yeah, brakes are two-piece rotors - cast iron ring with an aluminum hat. Unlike conventional two-piece rotors where the ring is bolted to the hat, the rotors on the GT350 are splined so that the ring can expand and contract without making noise. As far as two-piece rotors go they are pretty affordable and out on the track for what most people are going to use them for the brakes are unstoppable even with the stock pads ( My car ran two 30 minute sessions back to back with only enough time for a driver swap before going out on the track again ).
Way back in 1965 I bought an original GT350. It came stock with a 306 hp 289 and Ford top loader 4-speed. I raced it in the Midwest in amateur SCCA competition. I got my SCCA license back then and won my class in every race. Back then, no traction controls, no ABS. The only engine mods were the installation of a Shelby competition engine. It had crane modified heads, 4- 45IDA Webber’s and a roller cam. The engine was factory rated at 385 hp @ 6,800 rpm! The car in race trim weighed 2,500 pounds. It was a beast. I sold it just before going into The Marine Corps in 65.
Coming from a Mopar guy, I love how they used the old school hood prop rod. The prop rod weighs less compared to the hydraulic springs and mounting hardware. Yes that's very minimal at best but I like their dedication lol.
Hi Sarah I came your videos while learning about detailing tricks/tips as I want to start a used car business. Awesome job you are such a natural on camera and thank you for the good info/entertainment!
Two things. The hood prop is a lot lighter than struts. Keep the prop. The cross plane crank actually has a "dead spot" during crank rotation, so it has that burble sound until it gets way high in rpms. The flat plane rank engine doesn't have that dead spot so the engine sounds plain engry at all rpms.

A third gear pull from say 1,000 rpm to 8,000 rpm would be great; it would span around 90 mph and be fun to hear you and the engine get ever more manic !! Until the the CARGASM stopped play, of course. Sarah, Cargasms are a major road safety issue, so make sure you pull over to the side of the road if things gets too out of hand, haha !!
As usual, I'm in reality with minor criticism. The switches on the F-series trucks are called "upfitter" switches. They come from the factory blank operating nothing. They are there for aftermarket outfitters, aka wrecker bodies, ambulances, work trucks, to install lights, lamping, PTOs, and such. The switches on that Mustang have the look of the upfitter switches, but do actually operate stuff. In the 'musclecar era, the Shelby-modified GT350s had 289s, while the Ford manufactured GT350s had 302s. The majority of GT500s had the more street-friendly long-stroke 428, while a handful of them had the race-oriented short-stroke 'side oiler' 427. Keep up the great videos!
Nice review. Accurate information. I have a 2016 GT 350. My car doesn't have the oil cooler upgrade for the transmission that the 2017 does. I agree it handles great and gets up and goes. Keep up the cool videos.
Awesome video, that sound and high revving is what it's all about! I got a 2017 a year ago and haven't looked back. It was my first Mustang and I love driving it...and hearing that Voodoo engine...no need for a radio :)
I bought a GT350R recently and your review is spot on, the exhaust note plus the acceleration is intoxicating and I haven't passed 1000 miles yet so keeping bellow 4k revs. Can't wait to really cut loose. Oh yeah and the exhaust valve is ALWAYS open.
As a Die-hard GM guy must say that's a kick-ass🐎🐴Pony, Beans were givin and a flood was had🌊💧,Bet a Corsa Exhaust would make it sound even meaner🐍😈😈Awesome review Sara👍👍
Funny story on the original GT350s-definitely dedicated track cars, with upgraded suspensions and low profile oil pans-but the real kicker is that in 1966, some (11 of them) were factory equipped with Paxton centrifugal superchargers! Paxton approached Shelby with the idea for big block power out of a low-cube engine (GT350s had 4 barrel 289s, or 4.7L in metric measurement). Shelby also sold the superchargers OTC at Shelby American as a bolt on accessory for any V8 powered Mustang, Shelby or not.
With Hertz I am a platinum member and a couple of years ago they upgraded me to a Shelby GT350 for a week. It was an amazing car that left me a little stunned by its raw power. It was too much car for what I was doing and would it get all loosey-goosey on the road even with a gentle blip on the accelerator. Two months ago they did it again with a Mercedes C63 AMG and before that some sort of Dodge Viper. I pays off to rent a different car every week from Hertz. I calculated it out; I could of bought a new car for what I was paying in annual rental fees.. It was all business expenses so it is not as if I could go blazing down the highway for a day at a time.
I believe this year GT350 boasts the 5.2 L Voodoo motor featuring a "flat-plane" crankshaft (Ferrari inspired?). Very distinctive sound and wicked high revving abilities. I'm jealous, LOL. LOVE to own one someday :-D
A chap over here in the UK who knew Carroll Shelby built the engine for pickup. Just raw power...4 barrel 60pcfm...3 angle valve job...not polished but roughed ports as rough allows for better air swirl etc. Shelby have come a long way but strip away all the polish and you still have a lump of finally crafted iron beating away
I just rode shotgun in this same GT350. JJStang gave it the beans. It's got the beans! Solid constant power all the way to redline, almost like it's mildly boosted.
I wish you would have been around in 1965 when I had and raced my Original GT350 with a Shelby 289 (actually 294 cubes) because all the race built engines had a clean-up bore done to insure perfectly round cylinders. It had Crane super port modified cylinder heads with Chevy 1.94 intake and 1.60 exhausts. Crane roller cam and (4) 40 ida Webber’s. It was set up for racing at Elkhart Lake road course. I drove it on the street a few times before I went into The Corps.
Thought of a review series name for you: "Sarafina Zooms". It is a play on words. Sarafina means "bright star" in Swahili. Sarah, naturally, is your name. "Fina" in Italian and Spanish means feminine. Zoom has multiple meanings including "looking closer" and "moving quickly". It also matches up with your attention to detail and detailing business. I love your videos, wit, and work ethic. Keep it up!
I have a 2021 Mustang Ecoboost for a work car. Now I really want a GT350 for a weekend ripper. Thanks for the review, even if its 3 years old its still a great video.
What a generous owner! We need confirmation of the flooded basement? How many fans took a screen capture of the cargasim hair? Wow. I guess that was confirmation of the flooding. 😂 Great review!
I know this is an older video but you asked for suggestions for a channel name. I must say I really enjoy your videos, keep them coming. How about “Beauty and the Beans” for your channel name? 😎
The GT350 was a legalized full blown race car with the spare tire mounted on a fiberglass plate in the back seat I believe, the GT500 was as you described plus I’ve heard it described as “all go no stay on the road” lol
Sarah, now explain to me how anyone would want to pay $50+K for a 2018 GT, or $50+k for a 2019 Bullett over the GT350?..I respect Matt Moran, & a few other of the Ford guys, but they are insane for passing up a 2016-18 Shelby GT350 for a GT, & for a Bullett which is essentially a green painted GT with 15 extra HP.. To everyone who hasn’t had the chance to actually Drive a GT350, you truly don’t understand what an incredible N/A seriously wonderful Masterpiece the 5.2 Voodoo is..screw 0 to 60 when it comes to the 350, just go drive one, you’ll see exactly what I mean
Force Times Distance Equals ? Torque It's all about the car of the moment internet hype. The 2018 is a rip off. I am content with my 2013 GT Track Pack. If I was looking for a replacement, you cannot beat the 5th gen zl1 or c6 z06.
HighCountry Pioneer, I hear you..make sure you at least go look at the Gen6 SS1LE before you make your mind up about a Used gen5 ZL1. Trust me..if you find a quality gen6 Z06, Buy it! Power to weight in that thing is Perfect, plus the LS7 is just incredible. Good luck bro.
xv70 1, that’s cool, but if when you look at a 18 GT, & you look at a 16-18 350 which one moves you? If you say the GT, then you might need to go have your eyes checked.. I honestly couldn’t care less about the Power you can gain with a FBO’d GT. It’s still no where near as cool, as Sexy, or as Amazing as a Stock 350..the GT is a great bang for the buck sports car, but in the long run it’s just another GT. I’ll say it one more time, Go DRIVE a Shelby GT350, then come back to this comment, & tell me your opinion
xv70 1, do me a favor, & go watch “Speed Phantom” channel, & watch the GT350 Reaction video he posted this morning..that’s one of the very FEW GT350 Videos that shows how it feels to drive the car..keep in mind the car is stock. He did the backseat delete though
Yes! So, time travel forward to 2024 and I would like to request that you build a Mustang. Cheapest thing you can find into the coolest monster you ever built.
Sarah, That Ford is almost 1000 lbs overweight. I regularly beat the pants off newer mustangs and Camaros in my 2000 SLP Camaro Super Sport. It is an LS1 V-8, 6! speed manual gets 32 mpg on the highway and only weighs in at 3,200 lbs
Yeah that's a sweet car....Just transformed a 2016 GT into a low-pro GT 350.....it's a sleeping dragon....Livernois tuned, Steeda walking with some BMR spices......Radical..!!!!!!!!
Sarah I love your enthusiasm and the way you get excited about a car's performance. Sometimes you are like a kid in a candy store. Your take on things is pure and real world. To those who have not actually driven a gt350, don't judge it on any other mustang. I had high expectations and it nailed it. Sweet car!
No you don't, markups aren't that high anymore and some are selling for high 40's
OMG "flood my basement"... still laughing! Anyway, great fun watching you review this car - truly a bucket-list car!
That'd be one way of putting it and still staying within Ewe-Toob's P/C guidelines.

“Flooding my basement” has to be one of the best lubrication references of all time. 🤣
This just popped up. Like your natural hair color. And less makeup.

The 7:20 minute mark was all I needed. Could’ve just watched that. 🇨🇦👍🏼

I am sorry to admit only discovering your channel this year, your show looks to be equally great and at the risk of saying, you look just as stunning.
The magnetic ride control will only change how fast the shock responds to suspension load. So going down the highway you wont feel much of a difference in the ride quality. If you drive the car harder or push it you'll definitely feel the magnetic ride control doing its job.

That Ford is almost 1000 lbs overweight. I regularly beat the pants off newer mustangs and Camaros in my 2000 SLP Camaro Super Sport. It is an LS1 V-8, 6! speed manual gets 32 mpg on the highway and only weighs in at 3,200 lbs
i love the excitement on your face after giving thy beans. priceless.
refreshing old style review. Yet no same-procedure-like-every-ride. it‘s time to bake some new beans.
Holy 💩💩You gave it so much "Beans" your hair changed sides💇, 🤣🐍🐍
