I cannot overstate how much I enjoy Sarah's reviews. They remind me of Car and Driver back in the 80's and 90's, where you actually learned the details of a car, engine, etc. Like showing how the turbo and cat are placed in the engine, etc. This also extends to the driving reviews. They are nuanced to the point I can actually understand the way the car is behaving and why. As others have stated, I watch Sarah's views even for vehicles I don't like, simply because I know I'll learn something useful about the car and enjoy the review itself.
Yes, it had a nice look to it...but I feel rather apprehensive about a car with a glass panel in the roof. Not sure about Arizona, but I live in a hail zone; thus, the apprehension.
Yet another example of what a great automotive channel this is 🚙 No one does such a consistently thorough and in depth review of automobiles 🙂 Add her hilarious 😂 sense of humor and you have just the greatest! 🙂♥️
We bought the CLE 300 with the AMG interior and wheel package. We have just over 1,000 miles on it. Over certain types of road surfaces, it has more road noise than I would care for, but 90% of the time it is what you would expect. The car feels solid and handles well. With the smaller displacement engine, it does take some RPM to get a spirited driving experience, which does make for more engine noise than you get with the 450. But it does move reasonably well. Overall, we're happy with the purchase.
The dimples on the under carriage skid plate is for wind resistance like in a golf ball plus it'll give a little more structural rigidity. Myth busters did a test by dimpling a whole car and the results were quite surprising. Definitely worth watching especially for the entertainment factor. I miss that show.
The incredible CGI at 8:52 is why I keep coming back! I have to remind myself that there really isnt lightening shooting out of the exhaust. So lifelike!!
Ok, guys, admit that you came here because Sara is attractive, but stayed because of the thorough reviews and wry humor. Her personality and technical ability shine through. She’s made car reviews and projects fun again. I anticipate each new video looking forward to her precise rebuilding of her cars and honest reviews of all types of vehicles. Keep it up Sara!
"We lived in Arizona, and the skies always had little fluffy clouds in 'em, and, uh... they were long... and clear and... there were lots of stars at night. And, uh, when it would rain, it would all turn - it- They were beautiful, the most beautiful skies as a matter of fact."
@@danielj.rodriguez8621 A lot of car companies ask tyre manufacturers to develope tyres specifically for their cars. Mostly the more expensive brands. You can still buy non-OEM tyres for them, so it doesn't really scream anything.
@danielj.rodriguez8621 not at all! Every after market tyre with matching dim and load can be equipped. Tyres affect co2, so the factory tyres influence taxation. So it makes perfect sense to design them specifically.
The dimples help correct the air flow underneath....perhaps the engineers solved that issue during the 1999 24 Heures du Mans . Three times they took to flying. Drivers were okay, but some trees were hurt.
I realized in high school that women who are 5'11" are, hands down, the most comfortable to dance with. Relevance? NONE. I am here and watching so take it for granted that this content is appreciated.
I asked Mercedes about their exhaust pointing downwards, they told me its for more fuel efficiency and being more eco friendly some how, hence their fake exhaust holes design to being more efficient but keeping a sporty look lol . Not sure if all this make sense but thats what they said lol
This viewer agrees that a review of a lower-spec model is generally more helpful than one of a higher-spec model, and your reasoning for that is spot-on. 👍 Interestingly, and you likely know this, Mercedes isn't necessarily a "luxury" brand in other parts of the world, particularly Europe. They only lean on this in the US, and (probably) other wealthy markets.
biggest thing stopping it is manufacturing cost. the reason they did it for the plastic was they can just put them in the molds, metal panels would be dramatically harder to do
What are premium car manufacturers thinking? You mentioned the fake exhaust rings, but all the people I talk to don't like the screens in the interior replacing the physical buttons, knobs and switches. Fine for a budget car, but in a premium car I want a knob I can turn to change the temperature or music volume. And they must feel and look premium and not look like some robot digital fantasy.
How far we've fallen if we need to go for premium trims for physical knobs and buttons. 10 years ago, a $15k econobox was fully loaded with physical knobs and buttons.
7:49 I learned that my Telluride will only run the AC at 75% efficiency in eco mode and the start stop is much more aggressive. In comfort I get full power from AC and the stop start doesn't shut the engine down as often.

Hey Sarah, excellent job describing the way the car handles and feels. so if I was in the market, I almost wouldn’t have to drive it but of course I would great job as always.🐧🐧🐧👍
That looks like a great entry level lux car... smooth, quiet and comfy. Thank you for sharing. P.s. the fury cardboard is still great as a sound deadener even we don't want to see it or touch it.
I've wondered why cars don't use starter/gens since the first time i saw one on a turbine. cool to see someone at merc thought the same thing then just decided to do it!
Sarah maybe at the end of the year you can do your highlights of the scoreboards, the lowest and the highest of all the cars and reviewed and what you liked
Funny exhaust effects for the tip that doesn't exhaust the snooze button was also used when designing the exterior looks but liked the pot roast holder and drunk rear air ventilation system
190kw is a decent amount of power, but obviously the weight really holds it back. Probably a good entry-level grandfather Charlie car. (My grandfather was called Charles)
If they made the hybrid part of it a lot stronger, it could be down right sporty in its performance. The engine really only needs to be rated for climbing a long hill with the thing. For short bursts of power like merging onto the freeway, the electrics can react a lot faster than an engine.
I think of base weight of a vehicle, by using the 40 pound weight of a bad of rock salt for my home water softener . A 500 pound increase in a vehicles weight is equal to hauling around 12.5 bags of 40 pound salt on a forever basis. If the vehicle is 1000 lbs. heavier , thats 25 bags of salt in the car. This measurement can also be applied to the bogus marketing of some 4wd vehicle claims , when in fact the extra 2 drive wheels only kick in once the computer detects excessive wheel spin , such as in snow. So generally you are carrying around 260 pounds of 4wd weight, even though you're only really using that option 1 or 2 % of the time during the full year...during winter.
Beautiful car, however, I definitely prefer the prior generation E class coupe…. Especially in E450 guise👌💯 beautiful scenes, great review Sarah thank you❤

I am with you on this; I really hate fake exhaust outlets! It's a big no-no
but they made cool lightning bolts in the video!
I don't always hate fake tips. Even if they don't work they can really stand out and enhance the lines of a body.
It really is a mining canary when it comes to the rest of the vehicle. Probably a NIGHTMARE to work on.
Dark blue paint with the dark blue storm clouds in the background is extremely aesthetically pleasing.
