@@herballycorrectFirst of all Trump has not been arrested. He has not been incarcerated despite the fact that he is a convicted felon. Secondly, Trump has been charged by the Federal Department of Justice (twice), and by New York State and Georgia State.
The President has no involvement with state charges, and a Special Council has been appointed in the federal cases to ensure that there is no semblance of political interference, just as has happened in the Hunter Biden case.
I don't care which side you're on. You have to admit that when the biggest case in the history of Georgia went down, Willis showed an incredible lapse of judgment.

She didn't commit a crime. People are making a big deal out of nothing. It really doesn't matter that she and Wade used to date. And even if it did matter, Wade is off the case now anyway! It's frustrating to see so many people focus on Willis and Wade -- who didn't commit any crimes -- and ignore Trump and all his friends who are the actual people who committed crimes. THEY are the ones who showed a lapse of judgment.

First off, when you're paying for things for yourself, you do NOT have to report them. What she did was pay for the food, flights, and entertainment she enjoyed alone side of Mr. Wade. Furthermore, there was never any contract, either verbally or in writing, between the two that indicated he was the provider for anything she took place alongside of him. I really hate it when people think they are attorneys and know the law, when in fact, they are conspiracy spreaders and liars.
Where are the receipts showing Wade paid for Willis's part of the trips. It goes both ways, you know.

No matter on what side anyone is, the fact is that in perhaps the most important case of her professional life, she screwed up. Today, very few things can remain hidden. Her histrionic indignation also did not come across as honest. Even the judge refered to her statements as "half truths".

@@ryanfraser167 You misunderstand...I fully get the legal strategy, but my point is that the defense seems to have no tangible evidence to convince a jury that he didn't commit the crimes. Therefore, they DEPEND on the due process to prolong probable conviction. The defendant makes it pretty clear that it is in hopes that he will be president once again, and then pardon himself.

@@CUprowl24 A defendant does not need to convince a jury he or she did not commit a crime. The defendant is presumed innocent. Also, a president can only pardon federal crimes. This case is pending in state court and if convicted in state court, a president has no power to pardon him or herself.

Even if you remove her from the case, get someone else. Stopping it now would be a HUGE waste of taxpayer money on an affair that had no direct impact on the trial. It will be delayed but it will happen.
The charges against Trump are bogus anyway. He said he needed to “find 11,780 votes.” He did not ask anyone to manufacture ballots, destroy ballots, or commit any other type of fraud. Willis was hoping to get an all-democrat jury in Atlanta to convict Trump without evidence.
This is incredibly frustrating. But this turmoil was invited in to this case by the DA, Willis, when she had the affair... Play stupid games, win stupid prices. Unfortunately for the rest of us it means no justice is served (yet)

I think she was having an affair with him before she appointed him as one of the prosecuting attorney's on the case. She could have had an extra-marital affair with him and it would just be her own conscience, other than that no harm no foul. But once she appointed him as prosecutor and continued the affair, that's when it got sideways. That's my interpretation of it at least, and I may be off on the timeline.
It wasn’t simply having an affair. She used taxpayer funds to hire her boyfriend who had no experience prosecuting felony cases and who had no experience in RICO cases. She may have broken rules and possibly laws concerning nepotism, procurement procedures, and full disclosure. This behavior could effectively amount to embezzlement.

This is rich how they’re being so picky regarding Judge Cannon, but Judge Juan Merchan can walk on water. No issue with closing arguments going to the prosecution last, his vague instructions to the jury, or his blatant disdain towards the defense and defendant.
The arguments are inconsistent too. First she says "rookie judge", then she says "why get experts to argue in the court". Which is it? Is Cannon an expert who should be able to handle complex legal matters? Or is she a rookie that needs all the help she can get?

3:32 I totally disagree that this was the right call. I don't care that "there are people who felt that there was an actual conflict of interest." There was no conflict of interest. The fact that Willis and Wade were dating doesn't mean anything in relation to whether or not they can prosecute Trump and others for trying to overturn election results. Wade has already been removed from the case, which wasn't necessary in the first place, and STILL Trump is trying to delay the case!! Neither Willis nor Wade committed a crime. So let's all remember who is really on trial here. (Also, Cannon is deliberately delaying the case -- I don't buy these excuses that she's a rookie who's in over her head. This is deliberate.)
