The best guide I've ever seen. It's good that you included the easiest way to get to the bull because it is also important. Combat tips explained simply and understandably. Good sync with the video with those eyes you're talking about. After watching this, watching the fight at all times is understandable. Thank you very much
for me this is the most effective tip that i have used. i have watched a bunch of easy tips but ended up dying hundreds of times!!! this one by far is the most effective in my opinion.

This helped alot. I was making small mistakes that this video helped fix. Most vids said to back off and deflect the charge but didn't show the battle just the moves they employed. I observed this time instead of trying to mimic. You never jumped around. I was and he'd catch me. And when you missed a deflect you backed off. I had not and he'd get me with the 3 head side thrusts. Plus when cornered I still tried to deflect and got chewed up instead of just trying to run away (I'd be jumping). Thank you beat him 1 shot without healing after this.
Outstanding!! The best technique/tutorial I have tried on the bull (and I've tried plenty!) and finished him off using shurikens that were very effective on his face.

@@GamerGrade I finally killed bull after a good 20 tries ! Using the deflect and firecrackers still found it the toughest so far. The main problem was keeping distance and losing lock-on, so I kept losing track of the bull. I would say the most important key to beating the Bull is learning to keep distance and moving around the arena. The deflect I found was easy enough to learn. Anyway thanx for all your advice, It got me through....😁😁.
You may run in a circle around the bull and lure him to the corner. Keep sprinting the horn will almost but not touch the character. The bull cannot 180 turn so he will stuck an the corner leaving 3 - 6 slashes at his side or behind. This way Sekiro will not lose any health and will not need to risk deflecting the charge.
Thanks for the tips, i agree thats also a good tactic. I personally found the deflection easier to pull off but if the deflection timing is too tight then attacking from the flank or rear after his charge is a good alternative.

Yup it worked. I Followed deflect when Bulls heads down+ 3 hit in the face+ run far away , repeat and additionally i used firecrackers to increase the hit time

I tried about 20 time to knock up blazing bull.... After seeing your guide I knocked up bull within just 1 attempt can you believe how crazy is that just 1 attempt
Wait you can deflect a 3000 pound bull charging at you full speed? I thought that it probably wasn't possible so I just kept running and dodging around it. Next time I play this game, this bull's gonna taste my blade.
I was ready to give up on the whole game just because I thought this boss was so unfair and so incredibly boring, no matter how fun the other bosses might be. Thank you so much for making it feel more fair and to be honest more fun just by saying the charge can be parried.
The guide explains the battle well. However, I have been trying this approach for some time now - and I can't seem to judge the distance correctly to prevent the bull from using its other attacks instead of the vulnerable ram. Deflecting the flailling horns, for instance, simply does damage to me. The other videos suggest running around the bull and hitting its back, but it requires much more movement precision than I'm currently capable of. So I'm stuck with the deflection route.

Perhaps, this battle wouldn't be as frustrating for players if the game gave a hint that we CAN deflect attacks that don't come with red kanji (even when they look dangerous).

There's nothing more aggravating than looking up a guide on how to time something or like a parry and a boss fight and every video you come across has no voice-over it's just you watching someone play. I think I got lucky and killed him super quick. Using two firecrackers twice (accidentally) seemed to stun him more than usual allowing me to deal a death blow before his health was depleted. I'm not sure, but that's what seemed to happen. I'm really bad at this game. Gyoubu took forever.

My deflect game is not on point, so I beat him with the "stay on the butt" method.
I found it way easier to lock off, I did it first try without getting hit locking off after losing three times while locking on

An even easier way - chase it around the arena and slash it's butt when it stops to turn. Rinse and repeat.
Yeah if the deflection timing is too tight then the butt technique may work better for you :)

Why do you still take damage even after a successful deflect?
Certain attacks from powerful enemies will still deal some damage 👍
You can just spam block before the bull rams you.
