I've heard of something like peripheral vasoconstrictiion - extremities (fingers and toes) begin getting less blood flow. It might be the body's way of conserving resources (nutrients) and keeping them close to important organs. I'm gonna guess that the longer you stay in this state, you might begin feeling numb fingers and toes before your organs give out.

I want to hear more about why his we’re getting cold. What about the fasts we’re doing? I get the same feeling and didn’t realize it may have been diet related.

If Matt’s first meal is at noon, and his last is 10-10:30 pm, isn’t he fasting for approximately 14 hrs based on the timeframe ?

yeah. which is decent. the principle behind IT is to maximize that time you're keeping your bodys insulin low so you can burn fat and decrease any insulin resistance that might be built up. People in decent shape prolly don't need to worry about that aspect, but overweight/obese people can greatly benefit from lower/less insulin spikes and lowering resistance to bodily insulin as well. There's other benefits too like cell autophagy/regeneration etc. the 16/8 IT window is what they recommend for beginners and some ppl even push it to 18/6 or 20.4 and just eat like 1 big meal.

Calories in calories out, whether you fast, or eat a million snacks a day doesn’t matter as long as you hit your calorie goals

You have never heard of Dr Jason Fung have you?
He has a video that literally describes why this old way of thinking is not correct.
