Mat has actually been my biggest inspiration for school - he said in an interview that he'd spend hours in the library so that on test day, it was easy. I have run that line through my head when I'm studying and would rather be doing something else. So thank you Mat!

One thing he talked about in a Crossfit podcast from 2018 is that he was still signed with RedLine gear at the time and Nike allowed him to finish up his contract with them, that's why he picked Nike.

Sounds like Reebok CrossFit One in Boston. That’s the only place I know of that won’t let you workout there if your not decked out in Reebok gear.

Great video as always, but it would be really nice if you balanced the volume of speech/music a little better. I constantly turn the volume up to hear the guys and then get blasted off my couch by the music.

It was Reebok trying to sign him on. Austin Maleolo owns several CF boxes and worked for years with Reebok. It was Austin who told him to leave because Matt wasn’t wearing Reebok!! 😤 (also, Matt used to live near that area)
