I can honestly say I watched magnificent century no less than 18 times and I keep going back to it. It’s the best Turkish series I’ve ever watched, and Hurrem and Suleiman suited each other so much, you could feel the strong love and bond between them ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I've watched it quite a number of times to & agree its the best love story l've seen ever? All the hardships Hurrem went though for her family as well as escaped deaths herself many times? Showing they were meant for each other! 👏 ❤❤
Even I knew these historical facts and figures, very impressed with the flow and flawless delivery of the story. As if I watched a thriller movie. Very welldone ❤
Real events in those days, are nothing like they have portrayed them in the series. Mehmet was not killed by Mahidevrans orders, but died of an illness, and a lot more, but mainly true facts.

Interesting, but some points are inaccurate or at least this is the grey area of history which we can only speculate on. Was Mustafa guilty, well, he certainly was seen as the Sultan's successor by many. And he was already in his prime years of life at the age of 38. Maybe growing ever more inpatient, sparked by whispers around him. We will never know. Maybe that's why you call him Crown prince but this didn't actually exist in Ottoman Empire. At least not in the 16th century. They practiced open succession. And the dislike of Hurrem made Mustafa even more popular. Sadly, the system was such, there couldy only be one Sultan and all the potential threats to him, his brothers, half brothers, their sons, they all had to be executed. Along with the current Sultan. This was a bloody and deadly game of power. And power had its price. Hurrem is an exceptional historical figure.
There are different opinions on why that happened: 1) Hurrem and Rustem tricked the sultan for the benefit of Hurrem's sons 2) The janissaries were preparing a riot to get Suleiman off the throne and replace with Mustafa 3)Mustafa was pushing for replacing his father by doing governmental stuff without his approval.
