Nurses far too often go unrecognised for the hard work that they do. They are on the front line when it comes to dealing with patients. They deserve so much respect for the hard work that they do.

Thanks, TED. As someone who was raised by a nurse, hearing something like this gives me a slightly better understanding of their mindset...about why they do what they do. I still don't know HOW they do it, though.

Nurses represent the pinnacle of patient-caregiver interactions and are criminally underappreciated by society, especially when compared to doctors. I wish everyone could recognize their importance and give them the prestige they deserve.

Joyo # exactly I'm a nurse and In my department all of my team go through no appreciation for all the hard work we do and if there's anything go missing everyone will be there to probe as inventory also is part of our duty. I work in India with very little salary with no recognition. However, I must say the satisfaction we get here for the work we do has no comparison.

This is a really moving presentation about the nobility of the nursing profession and how their hard work in patient care and treatment often goes unheeded. Thank you for this fitting tribute to them, Carolyn!

alice34s y If, in addition, I do not know how it works in each country, but for example here in Spain, we are very secondary although the situation in large hospitals is worse and I work in a center specialized in dementia and end of life and I have to say that both nurses As doctors are very aware of our opinion since only the first to reach the patient, and washing a person is an admirable job because we take care of their dignity, there is nothing worse in relation With a person to wash his body, but this only thanks the patient and some relatives for the society we do not count and it is very sad because we are prepared for much more our work is precious only that nursing assistants from all over the world, We should talk and complain more, our work is and will be just as important as any other in a hospital. have a nice day.

All nurses are saints....I know..I never worked with one I did not love.
    Nurses are born.
Where are they today? They are hidden among the many morons who have gone into training.
Sorry. But that is the truth.
I feel so sorry for the beautiful nurses who still care.
Their burden is so sad..... I am a retired LPN

duizhang I'm grateful to the great nurses that helped me to get through when I was hospitalized. However, there are also just unpleasant people who have their jobs.
Please be polite, it let's you pretend you are a good person.
