Actually, I think this is a really good idea. Tips, coaches, and breakdowns are all amazing, but there's real value to being able to see uncut, hard heavybag rounds.
Something I learned to tell my brain about the feet and hands sync -- I let the energy start from the movement of the feet, which creates a push and not the fist first which then the legs are pulled and it slows the energy movement.
Ugh... Following your advice I moved deeper with my legs in an improved Kettle bell taint stance. My thighs are on fire, it occurred to me I'm too damn fat to get that low for a few rounds. It makes me wonder if it would feel better just getting punched in the face. Kidding aside, once the legs get stronger and the gut gets smaller this will be at the top of my tool box to get the job done. Great video, I appreciate it coach.
Another important tip is to try as much as you can to end your combinations with a jab. Even if you end your combo with a lateral step, throw one along with it. - It helps you maintain or create distance after your combinations. - Helps fix your "admiring your work" syndrome since you don't end up freezing anymore. - Makes your opponent wary of throwing counters after you land your hooks/uppercuts.
That's quite common! You just need more correct repetitions -- I recommend doing the line drills I demonstrated, and just be a stickler with the distance between each foot. You'll get it!
One thing that I learnt helps drastically with your defence and isn't emphasised that much with beginners (even those slightly more advanced) at least from my experience is pivoting. Doesn't matter - rear or lead foot-engaged - pivots have been helping me a lot with creating distance and changing angles,so I don't get completely overhelmed by very aggressive opponents. Altho I have to say as an ortho I can only pivot to my right,lol. Pivoting to my left feels awkward and unintuitive,'cause I always end up in a south-paw stance and I can't ever quite pull it off during sparring
Really great tips! I believe Michael Jai White also teaches to have tension in your thumb and forearm to punch. I guess it also adjusts the tendons in your hand and wrist and it protects you better 👍
I'm not much of a boxer but I've always wondered if I was better off as southpaw because I'm kind of lopsided. The left side of of my body is a little bit bigger including my fist and my left arm is stronger even though I'm right hand dominate.

What if I’m taller than most of the people I spar with? No one has really told me this specifically, but I just naturally like to stay tall and fight on the outside. It seems like staying at the bottom of the J would just be giving them more opportunity. That being said, whenever I do fight someone taller than me it’s awkward and I just don’t like the feel of it. Just not something I’m used to. Maybe this is one thing I could try.
Well, one way is being better than them at BJJ 😅 But if you're referring to defending yourself against a BJJ practitioner, you want to negate their strengths (close distance clinching & ground fighting) by utilizing your striking. Even still, I recommend training BJJ yourself, to familiarize yourself with positions, escapes, and submissions.

Just an observation - I wish there was less gendered language in the fighting world. I just watched another video of yours where the guy mentioned "just soccer moms doing cardio" as if only women use fighting as cardio, and even the comment in this video about your taint being "between your balls and your ass", as if everyone watching has balls. I know these are small things (microaggressions), but they can add up to make certain people (like me) feel less welcome in fighting. It's very intimidating already to get into the fighting/kickboxing/whatever world. Not trying to "cancel" you or anything, just wanted to share my perspective. I've been enjoying your videos so far! Lots of great tips and interesting information!
Sitting in a stool? NOPE 👎! This is not weightlifting! It’s all about balance and weight transfer. Sometimes you can be front leg heavy for spearing jabs or overhand rights. Other times you can have more weight on the back leg to be more defensive. But to always be sitting on your stool defeats the purpose of boxing. You are constantly changing positions and making adjustments for offense and defense.

if I have my hands at my head and the opponent punches my hands, I still get all the impact and brain damage
