Whooh! I can navigate the menus! Great that I can, for that price=) Btw RED should remove SDI and HDMI out like apple did with the headphone jack and charge $1000 for an adapter. WAit! They already do this! ;))

Have you worked with the Red Raven? Any thoughts on it as a entry level camera to the RED ecosystem?

I haven't because of the smaller sensor's field of view which sort of makes the depth of field look similar to m43 sensors which are not my thing. But if you want the RAW workflow you can get more out of a C200 other than the high frame rates that the Raven has to offer. All as a trade off because the higher you go on the frame rates, the more it crops the sensor and the softer the image gets.

what laptop is recommended for transferring footage from the camera (mag) to the laptop, to the hard dsik

The RED mini-mag reader tops off at about USB 3.0 speeds so any modern laptop would be up for that task. The write speed of the target drive would likely be the biggest bottleneck or if you're using a fast SSD as the target drive then the Mini Mag Reader's speed limit would be the bottleneck.

@@tanishqshetty7365 to transfer from the card to a target drive? The processor will not speed up the transfers. If you're talking rendering, then yes the processor matters a lot.

@@carlosq00 well I have a Red epic X and a Red helium 8k...I use it for movies and TV series. So everyone in the industry (Indian Industry) says a Mac is a must....so just wanted to ask you is it?

Nappy God Lotanna I had to work out different builds the outrigger is the most useful and the top handle is best for heavy builds
