- This is a POV of Dr. Dooms Fear Fall at Universal Islands Of Adventure. Filmed July 2013. Enjoy.
With menacing Doombots watching your every move, you're strapped into your seat. The tension builds. Suddenly the countdown reaches zero and you are rocketed skyward, 150 feet into the air, then hurled back down faster than the force of gravity itself. Doctor Doom's diabolical device has done its work... he collects the fear from your body and sends you on your way, ready to claim his next victim.
The initial launch at the beginning of the ride uses more thrust than a 747 jet engine and accelerates faster than the space shuttle. Doctor Doom's Fearfall has two towers that each stand 200 feet tall.

The scariest part is the waiting. You are sent up so fast that you don't have time to be afraid of heights xD
Ikr! I went yesterday and didn't expect how fast it was going to shoot us up, the fear in my eyes was phenomenal. It's really fun xD

To me the scariest part is when it hits the top the breaks feel like they are gonna break and we are gonna fly off the tower

The scariest part in my opinion is when you’re waiting on your seat and then it randomly sends you up super fast and then you’re just hearing Dr. Doom talk and then BOOM you’re up there in like 2 seconds
First he raises you up a little then he starts talking while that loud noise plays and after he does his laughs bam you shot up
I love his voice. It sounds so commanding. I couldn't stop giggling.

I must admit I was scared shitless on this ride. I love Hulk as that is actually fun, this is just one of those rides which is no fun and you only ride it just to say you were brave enough to. I think it was well done but I came off shaking.
Yeah. It was pretty fun but I was shaking and crying for no reason after I rode it. I had asprin.

I went for my sisters sweet 16 and we all agreed it gave us a terrible feeling in our stomachs and we vowed not to go on it again for the rest of our 3 days there 6 of us went on it
From seeing this video, I’m confused as to what’s so scary, it boosts you fast, but that’s about all
I went on this ride right as the park was closing. When we were half way up the tower, it stopped working and we got stuck. After they got us back down, the workers said we could go on the other tower if we wanted since it was working. Me and I think like 3 other people went on the other one. This ride is scary if you're afraid of heights (like me) and it gives you that weird feeling in your stomach. You get to see the whole park as well, which looks really cool at night.
The weird feeling in your stomach is all the fluid in your stomach moving it’s called your stomach is dropping

I don't understand why so many people have negative things to say about this ride. I rode it for the first time the other day and it was actually a lot of fun. I mean I understand the hulk can be labeled as more fun since it is longer but this ride also gives you a rush because you don't know when you're finally going to be shot up in the air and it gives you such an awesome feeling when you are going up and then shot down! And if you have a fear of heights (me lol) then I recommend you get on this because afterwards you get such an amazing view of the park and it's quite relaxing. I have been on higher rides so this is nothing honestly.

It was kinda fun, but to be completely honest, Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios is a better tower-type ride.
when im about to get into any ride i get scared, but when im in the ride, i feel like going in it again and again.

Super underrated drop tower. I usually cannot compare it to other towered because it's very different from the rest
It's like the opposite of most tower rides. Big Ben brings you up slowly then drops ya REALLY fast! Then there's Tower of Terror that both shoots you up and drops you down!

The line que and theming are what make all the rides AWSOME at Universal. This rides had great inline experiences to get you pumped and really good special effects too.

The part where you're already strapped in and you're just waiting for it to start is nerve-wrecking, haha. I was so scared. Then the initial launch is very, very sudden especially for people like me, who aren't used to extreme rides. But after that, it's actually quite peaceful.
went on this ride and can confirm fun is guranteed. the most stressfull/scary part is really just the waiting in the seat. once it goes up its super fun and it feels like ur floating at the peak. then the descent is just super peaceful and it feels nice bouncing in the air, and the first time is especially fun, i was screaming like a fucking maniac

This was so intense to me I couldn't even scream. I just squirmed in my seat the whole time. And closed my eyes during the launch until we reached the top.
AWESOMEEEE RIDE. I was so scared at first, never been on roller coasters or anything and this was fun. The way up is crazy though, it feels like your heart jumps from your chest

If you're ever thinking of riding this, be warned. It literally shoots you up. FAST. I rode this with my buddies yesterday and it was AWESOME. I didn't expect how fast it would go up, and you literally go in the air from your seat for about 3-5 seconds. It's GREAT. I really recommend this, although it can scare you shitless, like it did with me. I still LOVED it though. The shoot-up is so unexpected that I got so scared, I wanted to get off the ride, but when it's over, it's worth it. Trust me.
Went on it today with my dad. It was AWESOME! The launch made my stomach CRAZY but it was worth it. Awesome ride. If I could go on the Tower Of Terror just once, I would go cuz it would be better than this ride. 😆😆

How are people just casually talking on this and not even screaming when it suddenly goes up? This is the one single ride in Universal I absolutely can’t do. Even watching this video made me queasy lol.
Everytime I go on it I sing a song out of fear. Last time I sung the bird is the word.

remembering when they said "put your head against the back of the seat" and I was doing that for like 20 seconds before leaning forward to ask my friend when the ride was gonna start and then got thrown upwards at 40mph and couldn't move my head. good times.
I loved it! I mean, it almost gave me a heart attack when I was 15, but I loved it 😍 XD such a rush. Not to mention confronting my fear of heights.
It honestly isn't the most fun ride but let me tell you the first time you ride it when it shoots up you're just like HOOOOLY CRAAAAP
After I finally did this one last week I believe I can say I've done every ride at Universal 😅❤

The send off scared me so bad the first time I rode it. I wasn’t for the life of me expecting it being so used to the drop towers you find at a carnival

If you’re afraid to ride this, I totally understand. I got on cause I wanted to say I rode everything in the park, so I wasn’t really looking forward to it. The first few seconds of waiting after it elevates a few feet, are the most anguishing moments. It shoots you up without warning so quickly, which makes your stomach turn. However, once you get up there, the views are amazing and the breeze feels great on a hot day. Totally recommend. We went on it three times, and by the last time you kinda have an idea of when it’s gonna launch so it’s not as scary but still fun.

I've been on this ride It's fun I think this might be 70-75 mph Trust me It's fun It's not as surprising as you think The restriction is only 4' 4"
I’m pretty sure it is 40 mph. Incredible Hulk Coaster is the fastest coaster in Universal Studios. (67 mph)
Universal and Disney don’t have any rides that go the fast .
i 100% recommend at night, #3. u get to see the ENTIRE park and it's beautiful
Honestly a 7/10 after riding on it. Great thrill but doesn't last for very long. If you want this one to feel more thrilling, ride it a day before any super fast rides like mummy's revenge, hulk coaster, rip ride rocket or Velosicoaster (if these are your first fast/excellarating rides)
I don’t know if I want to go on it or not it will be 50% when I come back here I’ll have a big think about it while watching these videos to help me

Omg this video does not explain how insane this ride was, I went on it with my friend and she told that a few months ago she had gone on this ride and it wasn’t bad, so she convinced me to go in, she thought it went up slowly and down in a medium speed, turns out when we were in the seat and waiting they starting counting from 10 to 0, we both thought that why was there a count down when it is going to go up slow, we both had no idea how this was going to feel despite how my friend went on it a couple months ago and didn’t remember how it felt, when this ride launched us up so fast out of nowhere, and drop us fasttttt down, we were both speechless that we didn’t even

While the ride itself could be better, I have to say that this is one of the best queues at both parks at Universal.
I can go on the most terrifying roller coaster, but I'm a coward for these types of rides. lol.
I went on this just like 8 months ago its a great beginner drop ride if you have never been on one you should ride this I loved this it gives a great view it is really fun and they spent 850 dollars on a 20 second ride so show respect and ride it!

My first "drop tower" ride. It was a lot of fun but the launch is insane plus your stomach comes up at the top! It is short, but it is not a lame ride.
That was shorter than I expected, but it looks like a fun ride worth getting on. I'd rather experience going up fast than going down fast which is a much scarier feeling. I've never been to Island of Adventure before, but would love to go now.

I know this isn’t the tallest tower out there but it’s my favorite, I rode it a couple times by using the single line since no one in my family wanted to ride it with me .
I NEVER get scared of rides. I’ve written the hulk ride, the mummy, Jurassic park and bunch of other roller coasters as a front row solo rider. But this ride...my god I was trembling.
I’m terrified of rollercoasters, like I’ve never been on an upside down one and I’ve left line out of fear. I rode this ride today and loved it, I wasn’t really scared just the fun kind of scared, but it was one of my favorite rides I’ve been on. Im only telling you this because I was wondering if you think I would be able to handle the hulk or have and advice or tips for that ride?
@@jaketewksbury1971 to be honest, just go for it. Even if your going to pee your pants go for it.
A lot of people refuse to go on coasters scared of getting hurt. But in theme parks and rides like universal, NO ONE has gotten hurt AT ALL. If you do get hurt which is a 0.09% chance, universal will pay your hospital bills and give you tons of money as an apology.
If your already getting on the ride just don’t think about it and get on. Close your eyes and hold on tightly and trust me, you will feel so much better after the ride. The hulk looks scary but once your on it, it’s not as scary.
I got on this thinking I was gonna be falling instead I was catapulted into the sky! Really fun ride, I got on twice.
It scared me when it launched lol and I wasn’t even on.
All the coasters at Universal are awesome! Hulk is definitely my favorite, Mummy is my 2nd, and Ripride Rockit follows closely behind. Love those rides

The wait for this ride was like an hour and a half but it was so worth it, I wanted to go a second time but I couldn't because my siblings and their friends dragged me into the hulk as soon as we got off
When we went on it for the last time a few days ago, the employee started doing a countdown, which had never been done the three other times we rode it. He began, "Ten, nine, eight" and then we shot up lol😂

It’s just over so quickly. I wish they would make it launch you up, bounce for a little bit, hold you at the top, and drop you. I remember when I went on this, I thought it was fun but way too short.

Ok, so this is a long story:
Just a month ago, my class went to Universal Studios for the end of the school year. (We are from Georgia) Basically, when we came, my friends begged me to go on the Dr. Doom Fear Fall ride. I agreed, thinking it was no big deal. So, basically, me and my buds were all strapped in, and then when I realized how high it went up, I begged to get out. The employee unstrapped me, and I ran out, crying. After my friends got off, they said it was really slow, and that I should go on it. I looked at the wait time, and it was only 5 minutes long. I agreed and we went on it. When it shot me up, I screamed and cried and flailed my arms like a 5-year-old, I yelled at my friends and preached to them that they didn’t have to lie about it, and I secretly loved the ride 😂. My lesson was: your friends are your friends for a reason. Let them push you! sorry that story was pretty dumb but whatever!

The scariest part is when it lifts you up just a few feet and you don’t know when you’re going to be shot up, but once you’re up there its the coolest thing ever, the view looks way better in real life and honestly this video make it seem not as tall. I also thought i was scared of heights but I discovered I actually really like heights as long as I feel safe so this ride is really cool but I get so anxious before it shoots you up that it makes my stomach hurt, so ya. But this one also make me feel more comfortable about going on Hulk since I like this one and it’s so much taller

This isn’t the most intense of the S&S Space Shot Towers but the theming makes this more fun

I rode this when I was 9 years old. I personally thought it was going to lift me up slowly and go down quickly... but when it zoomed up, jesus, it gave me a heart attack! My glasses almost flung off but luckily my dad held them on when I yelled, "MY GLASSSES!! WOAH!!"
My glasses almost flung off on Magnum XL-200 at Cedar Point, because I didn't secure them like I usually do... I caught them; thank god. I lost my old glasses on The Joker at SFNE.

I just took this today with my kids. It was so insane intense on the way up & down. I squeezed myself so tight to the seat cover and closed my eyes entirely. its like other people say here.. felt like the soul leaving my body.. 😄 was shaking along time after this hehe, by far the scariest ride.. 🤮😱😱😫
