No one understands how immersive this ride is. It’s crazy. The animatronics, and the track dynamic. It even drops a whole track section with the train. Heard it cost 100 million to make
It cost a total of $300 million, so is by far the world's most expensive roller coaster. It definitely has a lot of tricks up it's sleeve, 7 launches, a vertical drop track, a live switch track element, and vertical rollback. While the coaster itself isn't the most intense (it wasn't supposed to be), there aren't too many other outdoor coasters that can compete with the immersive storytelling and theming.
@taylordoesedits Yes, you're correct. Didn't know abut the cost of Cosmic Rewind. It's a great experience, we really enjoyed it. Hopefully you will too, have fun 😀
The ride is definitely made for those who do not like extreme coasters (like me). It’s got no crazy loops or corkscrews. Just good speed and small surprises. Long line but worth the wait!
Big roller coasters are just intimidating is all. The anticipation is always the worst part. But once on it, it's awesome. It's like when you're in that friend's fast car when entering the freeway and you speed up.
Honestly this coaster is more intense than most of the bigger coasters I’ve been on 😂 inversions don’t really feel too intense, aside from a special few that are particularly intense
Saw this thing recently on my high school senior trip. There was no way you'd see me waiting 3 hours for it. That's how long the wait was when I saw it.
It's the parks most popular ride, so always draws the biggest crowd. It was around 40 minutes when we visited. Depending on what time of year you go, the line can get much shorter 🙂
me and my brother waited 3 hours opening weekend, got to the front and the ride broke down, waited 3 more hours for it to come back up but it never did so we just left
Oh it is, one of the best coasters of its kind honestly. Basically anybody can ride it, the speed boosters add some great energy to it, and the surprises are the cherry on top.
I was soo scared to go on it but I got on it and came off saying that it was one of my fave rides! For the people who are nervous to go on it: It only goes at its full 50mph at the very end for a few seconds And on the vertical bit you don’t feel it that much. The drop isn’t too bad either ☺️ I hope this helps if you’re scared ❤
Rode Hagrid's for the first time this May. I am petrified of coasters, the most thing that actually scared me the most was the drop - or the idea of it actually. Now it is a favorite, and I cannot wait to go again and try out the bike seat! ♥
Can’t wait to ride this in a couple weeks when I come to Orlando soon!! Great video!! It seems difficult to record this one as the ride is a little intense!!
Thank you 🙂 Pretty sure you'll love it. It doesn't have the intensity of Velocicoaster, but the theming and story telling throughout the ride more than make up for it.
Rode this last summer and I thought the ride was over with so I got all relaxed and then it just dropped all of a sudden and I completely locked up for a second 😂
I was just at universal like two weeks ago and I rode this at night in the pouring rain. What a huge difference it makes lmao so much more fun that way 😂
THAT’S WHAT I DID? I rode this in November on the last ride of the night . It was nearly pitch black which really added to hagrid’s “uh oh” right before the tracks end. Honestly glad I couldn’t see the part coming like you’re supposed to. Definitely recommend this ride!
You should be fine. It starts off quite slow, gradually getting faster as the ride progresses. So by the time you get to the final (fastest) launch, you've got used to it.
@@XtremeCoastersyeah I got on in 1 hour this year but when I went four years ago to Orlando I waited 5hrs 40 minutes and didn’t go on because the weather was hammering down and the ride shut just narrowly before I got to go on 😤🤣

Turns out maybe I do like coasters with speed, sharp turns and no huge drops.😂 Just a note: I sat in the side car bc i have a physical disability. I'm only 4'10“ and I barely fit.
Looks like lotsa fun. About the coasters that take you to a certain point, reverse, then take you to another point, I don't like the possibility of a track malfunction on these kinds of rides, though. Don't think I wanna take that chance! 🙀
There is no possibility it could happen. If, for whatever reason the switch track did fail, the train would be brought to a standstill before it got anywhere near the open section of track. There are a lot of fail-safes in place 🙂
Wait so that last big “hill” before it goes in reverse, once you come back you never go up it? Please help me cause I don’t big rollercoasters but I would do this as long as you don’t go up that big “hill” that you start to go up and then go backwards?
