I have watched all of your videos. You are absolutely fantastic in articulating all the information that anyone would need before visiting. Keep them coming bud and thank you!
Excellent video! What sets your videos apart from others is your excellent footage, attention to detail, and- mostly- highlighting the pros and cons of each item. Fantastic job. One of my favorite channels!
I literally just cried when I found my favorite childhood ride Poseidon Fury closed down. in tears. this ride fueled my connection to greek mythology which there aren't many attractions in the world that serve that desire. besides the obvious of going to europe
biggest issue with velocicoaster is that the once quiet, and seldom visited water front (technically smokers section) is now only accessible while waiting in the queue above a 2 hr wait. In my youth I used to go there to just chill. The ride is fun though, I give it that.
I know I keep saying this, but I used to live there and I find your videos more informative than many from locals. Beautiful, helpful, and fun video as always! 🎉👍🏼🌹
Great to hear your voice! The Hulk and Velocicoaster give me temporary headaches when getting off, but worth getting on for the thrill. Cat in the Hat is an awesome ride too. I prefer it over the trolley. I have yet to get on the water rides. I’ll try Dudley Do Right next time. Great video as usual! Take care my fav Frugal Brit!
Another great video. You were such a help to us in the build up to our orlando holiday at xmas. Great tips and advice on where to be, eat and shop. Keep up the good work.
I remember being wowed by Spider-Man ride, and loving forbidden journey years ago. However, I did get slightly woozy after trying Forbidden Journey recently. Prefer escape from Gringotts. And Motorbike adventure is completely exhilarating! Thanks for, this video.
Great video again 👍 We returned from Florida last Friday after a 3 weeks holiday. We managed to get on all the rides we wanted at Disney & Universal. It was out first return in 5 years, we had a fantastic time. Velocicoaster in the dark was absolutely mad & brilliant, the best coaster I've ever been on, and the wait was only 30 mins. Hagrids was also a cracker, about 50 mins we waited following your tips from earlier videos. Universal are going from strength to strength, they are definitely the parks to go to for teens 14 plus and adults, and with Epic just around the corner we'll be hopefully returning
Fantastic footage and great production as ever - thanks for the hard work! Have to admit I'd probably have Dr Doom's Fear Fall in my top 10 (possibly at No. 10) assuming its not more than a 15 or 20 min wait! But makes sense to have a ride in there from the often over looked Seuss landing! Its only when you try to narrow it down to a top 10 that its apparent what a great line up IoA has!
Just left Orlando a few days ago , used your videos to plan our trip , fantastic resource and you give such good summaries of all the theme parks and accomodation , best coaster overall guardians in Epcot , velocicoaster is frightening but amazing , avatar was incredible in animal kingdom (which I think is disneys best park after thinking it’d be the worst), enjoyed Everest too
Looking to go to universal studios and Island of adventure in April or May, with small children age 7, how is it as far as ride.....is it rides convient and not scary for them
The first few seconds of the Hulk are fantastic, but that's also the downside - the rest of the ride never quite matches up. What makes Velocicoaster so exceptional that, if anything, the second half of the ride is even better than the first. Nice to see Spiderman so high up - it's still brilliant. I'd put the Hogwarts Express in the top 10, though
Another great video 👏. I have not been to Universal or IOA since 2012 and were heading there this summer! Hulk as always been my No1 coaster anywhere, cant wait to try some of the newer rides and take the kids on there first Universal holiday. Looking forward to more of your vids and helpful tips 👍
Thank you Jason! Always loved Hulk, but I remember it nearly killed my dead when I was a kid. Felt like he never recovered for the rest of the holiday 😂
Great thanks, kids spoilt rotten, my youngest was able to get on Hagrid’s by a hair’s breadth which was nice. Preferred staying at universal compared to Disney.
@The Frugal Brit - Orlando Fantastic did they enjoy it? my youngest is too short, but tall enough for Jurrassic Park River Adventure (Dinosaur mad) so excited. We got 14 days at Cabana bay so really excited 😊
Love these videos! I had a particularly bitter experience with the Ripsaw Falls because of the long-leg situation, and the ride broke down right before the second drop. I also agree with your rating of Kong, because even though the cue is amazing, I feel like a coaster or even the River Adventure style would've worked better instead of a simulation.
Great stuff as always. Hope you reach the 50k milestone soon! Question, would you allow me to use any of your content on my own roller coaster channel if I give you proper source credit?
Thank you Chris! For phones, I only wear shorts with zippers to keep things secure. Fanny pack also good way of keeping phone secure. Re bags, pack as light as possible as the lockers you use for the roller coasters are very small 👍
The key is to go off season on a weekday when the kids are in school. Lines are nearly non existent. I've never stood in line more than 45 minutes for Hagrids Coaster.
1. Velocicoaster 2. Hagrids bike 3. Hulk 4. Dr dooms fear fall 5 bilgerat barges 6 flight of hippogriph 7 Jurassic park river adventure 8 one fish red fish 9 cat in the hat 10. Kong That’s how I’d rate them
We've just come back after a 3 week holiday and you simply can't beat Millers. Great service, food and prices. We tried others but always ended up returning to Millers.
Thanks mate. Excellent videos. We booking for Aug 2024. Found your channel the most helpful on TH-cam. My daughter will be 7. Can she do all the rides?
Much appreciated Marc! My 7 year old was able go to get on velocicoaster last week but only with a pair of air max lol. He turns 8 in August, average height. The minimum height is 1.3.
@The Frugal Brit - Orlando ok thanks. I've been showing my kids your videos. Probably not a good idea as they want to go now! It's going to be agonising wait until next year.
I love rides and stuff the like the hulk does not bother me at all............The VC? no i screamed my head off clutching the bar as i felt i would fall out at any second.......I have never been on anything like it
Nope, was in Orlando last september and in Universal, no matter the ride, it was not allowed. Different story in Busch Gardens Tampa tho, there it was no issue with a chest strap and a gopro. Hope this helps.
Just visited earlier this week. I might rank Hulk even lower; it is a snoozer after the initial inversions. Was disappointed in Haggrids; not a bad ride just over hyped, I enjoyed forbidden journey a lot more. Velocicoaster absolutely loves up to the hype, never been on a coaster that tries to throw you off of it with those kinds of forces. And hey, I really like that the Spider-Man ride features the old school look I grew up with; pure nostalgia. Plz no update.
After not being able to fit on the rides I want to go on, I lost some weight and was able to go on the rides this year. It's a first world issue, sure, but It felt like a minor milestone. I didn't want to miss out on anything at the park. My favorites: Hagrids Motorbike Adventure Velocicoaster Jurassic Park River Adventure Incredible Hulk Coaster
my family is planning to possibly go to universal, im scared to go on the bigger more intense rides mostly because im scared ill puke. which wouldnt be fun for me or other people on the rides.. im gonna try though
I like 8 of them, but the hulk ride and the raptor ride looks too scary to go on. Also I’m wondering which rides are not right for people with epilepsy?
Outside of the fact that I am Very partial to THE CAT IN THE HAT ride , and I’d probably swap that out with Popeyes Bilge Rat Barges (which I’ve never actually gotten to ride in five visits because it’s been closed EVERY SINGLE TIME!) and put it at #6 or so….this list is pretty spot-on what I’d choose for my own top ten (although I also would’ve swapped out the Seuss Trolley with the sadly-closed Poseidon’s Fury)
My wife and kids love the cat in the hat, but I’m always left feeling like Disney does that sort of stuff a lot better. Always seems to have a low queue though which is nice. Wish I’d done a top 15!
@@TheFrugalBrit other than mike and Sulley to the rescue in California adventure, cat in the hat has always been my favorite dark ride… can’t quite explain why it’s just always been fun and it always has been a reminder to me how good islands of adventure does everything!
I’ve been to the skull island ride, it isn’t scary in any way. The only downside is that the ride was SUPER SUPER loud, same thing with the fast & furious one in universal florida.
I love it when dorks who review these rides start by saying.. "I hope it's not to controversial" What is an angry mob going to come to your house and threaten you over your number 1 pick?
I know I'm in the minority but I just love Dr Doom's Fear Fall. The fact that there is hardly ever more than 3 or 4 people in the single rider line means I've never waited more than about 5 minutes for it so I understand if you have kids or want to ride with your wife it's not worth waiting 30 minutes for a 35 second ride. I'd put it higher than most probably top 5, But Harry Potter wouldn't be on my list because I don't think I've ever not had to close my eyes half way through due to nausea.
Riding Hagrid’s at night is a must do for every Harry Potter fan. Absolutely incredible.
👌

Skull Island over Rip Saw Falls is crazy

Idk... it's personal preference in the end. I think it has to do with the overall vibe, even from the cue.
I’m just saying this if I had to choose one to ride on a hot day I would choose King Kong because you barely get wet on ripsaw falls
Right one of the best rides

I’d maybe have river journey above Spider-Man. Aside from that, I agree. I braved the hulk last year for the first time….and loved it!!
Yeah I’d say I’m more attached to River Journey but felt like Spider-Man was the better ride overall.
