Rode this last fall. I would do the GAP again, but not the C&O. We did the GAP in two days, C&O in 2.5. The towpath just beat me up more, though the amount of free camping spots was way more convenient. Good job, dudes.
Yo! Didn't think I'd see y'all on my feed! The algorithm is crazy. I rode/chatted with ya'll for a bit, was the one on the state all road. Was surprised I didn't see ya'll on day 5 when I finished, but now I understand it was because you took that rest day. I ended up going from Antietam where ya'll passed me as I was setting up camp, to dc on that final day. I'm supremely jealous of your abilities to ride shirtless, as I got eaten alive by mosquitos even with a shirt on and bug spray. Nice vid and it was nice meeting you guys!
Haha that's awesome that you found my video. We had seen you a handful of times throughout the trip which was pretty cool. Nice talking to you! The mosquitoes were really going after Henry for some reason, but everyone else was fine.
So sick! I bikepacked the C&O canal (the second half of this route) on fixed gears with my brother. Sick to see other people fixie bike packing and their setups !
Thanks! The GAP trail leads right into the C&O so there's barely any navigation required, but I'm sure you could find a route anyway with a quick google search.
Fixed gear! Legend. Excellent video.
that dude wheelie-ing the whole trip is one with his bike!
Philly in the house! My daughter and I are doing it in the fall, on single speeds. Glad I saw this video.
Next video: knee surgery and ass removal after fixed gear bikepacking trip.
Wow on fixed! 🤯🤯 Legendary! RubberSideDown 🍻🍻
This is the best video ever. Love this style. What an adventure
Nice ride. Epic adventure. Now I want to bike pack. Not sure about the outside camping tho, I'm a city boy.😅🤷🏽♂️

Did i see you guys in a the Philly Tracklocross picture recently?
Where?
cool ride. What do you put in Ramen to get that much energy to ride?
Tough to go wrong with peanut butter. I put it in ramen, oatmeal, spread it on bread or eat it straight up! Pure delicious protein in a jar.
Amazing video! What brand are those inner bar ends at 14:43?
Giant contact AL
Would love to go on a group ride with friends. All my friends are old farts now working 6 days a week.
Awesome adventure! How can I find this route? Strava? Thanks!

With a loaded single speed/fixed gear, what was your average speed? Genius. Also, are you on Strava? Great video.
Thansk! Around 14 mph average. My strava: strava.app.link/RjrnuElhqKb
Looks like a great adventure, could someone tell me why fixed gear and not normal gears for this trip?
Just preference, and for the added challenge i guess.
Dude love those fenders, what fenders are those? 14:38
SKS Speedrocker!
after watching day 1 I thought to say that you guys might want to spice your "type shits" with some "type beats". You know just to keep them guessing.
Is that a Wheelfine bottle at 11:23?
Yes love that place
Geared bike dude: I didn't get the memo!
