I come back to this performance from time to time saved in my TH-cam videos. I LOVE to watch-listen to this piece every time!!! Bravo to both of you!!!
Markov is one of very, very few contemporary violinists who write music for their instrument and play it. I once witnessed his son Alex interrupt his performance of Paganini's 24th because the audience suddenly burst into thunderous applause in the middle (left hand pizzicato) section - it was that good (astonishing, actually).... then he finished it and the applause was even greater. Like father like son.
This is so awesome. this kind of performance where you physically do not do a "show" to please the audience is almost gone nowadays. Albert Markov only makes the most necessary movements to play the violin. and no unnecessary wobble back and forth. Such a pleasure to hear and watch this.
wow.. thank you for this..if there are more such as any concertos he played ,,live..the world would appreciate greatly. i am in philippines but i lived and studied in NYC. in my years in manhattan school...where he was the chair in violin dept..i accompanied one of his students in lessons..he was TRULY such a gentleman..and picked up the violin briefly to show his student the tones he wanted...i recall that he encouraged me actually to give musical suggestions at the piano and he d join in and then say to his student: "see..play with that approach" he at one point arranged for a piano quartet that our student group played in a summer festival ..and we did dvorak's Fminor ...this was in 1990 s ..i remember that he was SO ENCOURAGING to young musicians!! no wonder his student ADORED him.
So grateful that the Maestro Albert Markov is alive and with us. He doesn’t age either!
My heart flutters with joy and happiness. Like a hummingbird that got an extension on life...

Well, it all depends on the performer's style, maybe it aids with how one feels the phrase, or character of the music, it's not show off
Totalmente
Some people move to memorize the piece of music

Very beautifull and outstanding interpretation!! Thanks for sharing it :)
на мой взгляд, лучшее исполнение
Magistral dominio del instrumento.

Отлично!
B. Goldstein have a beatifull vertion on this piece too
Esse cara tocava d +
It's the best Russian Dance violin play ever. Just 1:03 has a small mistake, but it doesn't affect the whole performance at all.
It's not mistake, it's just not so good string "whistled". )))
Could you indicate the year of the video?
❤️
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Nice
Was this filmed in the early 50s?
that violin is still af.
Is he using a shoulder rest?
Pat Mustard No - no really great artist violinist ever does.
@@sebastiandangerfield9933 lol
@@sebastiandangerfield9933 happy to hear Maxim Vengerov isn't a great artist...
Mael Perron_Guerra He sure the hell isn’t.
@@sebastiandangerfield9933 well you're an idiot...
откуда столько восторгов? ужасное пустое исполнение
What a terrible mistake!
Жаль, но ябреи не "тянут" Чайковского. Наверное, Хитлер виноват.
