SUPERB, ... Heart felt, heart warming and compassionate. Very few fathers expirance such an occasion and even fewer sons show this amount of gratitude.
@jstot1231 I had Albert Markov as a teacher too for 4 years in Manhattan School in the mid90's- I benefited the most and I am really glad I studied with him. Such violinists, teachers, and music personalities are really hard to find- deeply rooted into the REAL tradition yet openminded and in love with the functional
140 pieces of wood and 8 metal wires + humans - and this is what comes out !!! It made me think not to forget our human interactions because all of our imachines would be nothing without the humans behind them .....

The beautiful Russian bow hold. I wouldn't be able to play without it from wrist dysplasia. I figured it out from Markov's performance of the 24 caprices and was able to play violin again.
2:33 check bow hand , tick on index fingers, both of them. But Alexander started it, he is to be blamed :D Albert just started repeat it after his son. It is so funny :D
I) Wonderful - Performance & 2) a) I urge all the "petty" critiques" 2 focus on general taste rather than "own taste" thus be open to "xlnt" music & "new arrangements" & b) to all the (young) people who so often lack "modesty" & think they "know it all". Try to enjoy such music without tearing it down & risk not being pathetic... ;-) Good luck leading a happy life ;-)
holy sh*t, it sounds sometimes like the whole big symphony orchestra, sometimes like string quartet, sometimes like guitar, sometimes like doublebass solo how ? HOW ?? H O O O W ?????? It is just a violin and a viola ! I go uninstall myself just now :D
It’s gorgeous but the music feels like an argument. What is that suppressive expression in their tones. It’s not in the other recording I’ve heard today. Markov kick
this is a beautiful way to have a passion. A Father and a son sharing love.
SUPERB, ... Heart felt, heart warming and compassionate. Very few fathers expirance such an occasion and even fewer sons show this amount of gratitude.
I had the honor of meeting Albert Markov at my highscool , it was such a great honor, he's definetely amazing!!
They are doing the work of a whole string ensemble!
Exactly, albert markovs full sound sounds so much like a cello

2 legends nice!
I love the way they arranged the piece is so beautiful, nice and different, besides they are both fine instrumentalists...5 stars....
Albert was a fantastic violinist and so fucking underrated. fucking world
Like father, like son. Indeed.
I love the effect the actual hall has on the tone colour. The hall provides a very beautiful layer of sound to the melodies through it's echoes etc. .
140 pieces of wood and 8 metal wires + humans - and this is what comes out !!! It made me think not to forget our human interactions because all of our imachines would be nothing without the humans behind them .....
both of them are great masters of music!!
Extraordinary performance
Absolutely breathtaking and astounding!!
One of my favorite pieces!
Beautiful rendition!

Superb musical work and superb performance!
I just found out that alexander marcov is playing the tchaikovsky with my orchestra next year. I am so excited!
+allaboutviolin really? WOW! where i can find information about that?
+Renzo Renzo I play in the Portland Columbia Symphony orchestra in portland oregon. I think it is listed on our concert page for next year.

A conversation, discussion, empathy between father and son. Epic!
Amazing Albert Markov!!! Violinist, composer, conducter, viola....
Perfección ❤
Pure magic, and I don’t even like classical, but I do know when something is just darn 🌟Good 🌟
is albert, alexanders dad? so nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes
They add some interesting little touches of their own, pizzicato etc.
And a nice organ effect with minimal vibrato in the middle.
maginifico!!!
Les deux meilleurs violonistes du moment ...
Fantástica pieza
Every duo that I have ever seen always looks at one another before starting that section at 4:56. Interesting. Bravo Markovs!!!
wonderful!
Albert Markov plays Viola!
Badly...
The original is a work by Handel for harpsichord, but this is a famous virtuoso arrangement for violin and viola by Halvorsen.
@Davi Moreira Passacaglia in G minor
It's probably the best interpetation out there I'm a big fan of perlman for exemple but this one with markov son and father is quiet impressive...
its really nice musicians got different ways of interpreting the music. 5 stars here
The beautiful Russian bow hold. I wouldn't be able to play without it from wrist dysplasia. I figured it out from Markov's performance of the 24 caprices and was able to play violin again.
really good performance, and lol at the camera at 4:40! that was funny.
I am envious. I wish would be able to do this with my son, but I don't have a son and I don't play violin.... yet :P
MERAVIGLIOSO
hermosoooooooooo!!!
👏👏👏👏👏🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻
Aliens ought to see that before they decide to erradicate us or not..
Hey, Robert Duvall and Andy Samburg are pretty good on the old violin there! Just kidding, great piece from the Markov family.
That was really good.
grazie, thank you
GREAT JOB
Albert is on the Viola here and Alex on the violin.
2:33 check bow hand , tick on index fingers, both of them. But Alexander started it, he is to be blamed :D Albert just started repeat it after his son. It is so funny :D
So virtuosic and technically perfect, yet not missing a single gram of baroque style.

Very very nice! record bed..
Incredible ! Better than Pearlman and Zuckermann.
O M G
Albert Markov is the author from the best system to study scales and arpeggiums, superior to Carl Flesch System too!!
I guess you could say.. They're too hot..
To Handel!
Lol I love how from 4:38 to 4:37 your moving back and fourth. I found this interpritation to be a little "sticatoy"
I have seen different version haha very interesting
flipe colega ^^ xD WOO
@cellator24 yes, markov the sone is playing octaves
Hi guys, can i hear this song in High quality played by Alexander Marvok ??
Yes ok but the effects they produce...quite interesting !
@cellator24 Actually, these are effectively octaves. Check yours.
4:30 pambering pizzicato 🤣🤣
💘💘💘💘💘💘💘
Was this written by Handel himself? because it doesn't sound like the Halvorsen arrangement towards the middle.
He originally wrote it for harpsichord and it sounds different, this is an adaptation
W h o w ...
does anyone the name of the violin song they play in the beginning ?? :O
Dude, it's passacaglia by Handel. It's the only song they play. It's in the description box.
And it's not even a song!
agreed!!! haha!!! yea!!
35 people are deaf and repent to be...
Father and son?
sounds like some people are jealous of real musicians... lets see you outplay them...
I hope you're joking, but Alex (left) is the violinist...
Oh you mean Alexander is one octave higher than the score ?
I dont understand neither
what the heck? octaves in the opening? are you kidding me!!!!!!
wait whose the violinist and whose the violist?
Are they related
yes, father and son
2:00
😢😢👍
I doubt it... Or, as they say in Russia- "Халтурка"...
Is it a Viola?
yes
holy sh*t, it sounds sometimes like the whole big symphony orchestra, sometimes like string quartet, sometimes like guitar, sometimes like doublebass solo how ? HOW ?? H O O O W ?????? It is just a violin and a viola !

Hm nie ten klimat zepsuliście panowie ta Pasacaglie i to w straszny sposób
Polecam wam wykonania Perlmana&Zukermana
Very out of tune!
agreed. Albert Markov maybe a great violinist but def not a violist ;)
I didn't like this interpretation at all.
The father’s bowling is better.
too bad it doesn't help him play in tune
Daddy Markov is getting a bit old, that's all.
It happens to us all
D: wow these two are a pair of drama queens
is a horrible version... markov plays very good but playing paganini, in this pieces he plays very very ugly xD
It’s what some people call “balls out”. Is it too exciting and risky for you?
