    I've tried both and settled on the Mackie DLZ Creator XS. The Rode Duo's headphone monitor latency was too disoritening for me. The Mackie DLX Creator XS doesn't have any noticable headphone monitor latency. Ditto on the screensize...love it on the DLZ Creator XS.

    The VESA mount on the back of the Duo was the decision maker for me I had a tablet arm laying around and reconfigured it for VESA mounting.. This is my first audio interface/mixer. and I saved $25 by buying a scuffed up box from Best Buy..(The Unit was pristine inside).. Love to see a video on how to set up and use Unify with the Duo.. Thanks for the comparison video..

    Excellent.
    If either one of these units had the extra usb, as in the Mackie mainstream, To go to my gopro 8, or action 3 camera, They may have been sitting on my desk. The next upgrade from both Rode or Mackie may see one of their units in use with me. Not 100% from both companies, apart from the cost, but damn close for the money.

    I have a Duo. The combination of dual pc over usb and no drivers needed slimmed down the choices a lot. It's wonderful, but I still have a huge list of things I'd wish the Duo could do.
    That said, I do have considerable screen envy vs the Creator XS. I think the screen size is worth it over the faders, but the Creator XS is weighed down by the heritage from the big brother and its faders. If you use knobs, you might as well use rotary encoders like the ones on the side of the screen. That would let you have "pages" for channels, instead of physical vs virtual faders on the Duo.

    • @NfynitePixels
      @NfynitePixels 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Man all rode needs on the duo is more virtual channels for me... Or even have multiple outputs on the "unify" app would be helpful..

    Not a User of the XS - I use my DLZ Creator as my Interface and for Podcast. And i know the Roadcaster very well. For me my Decision was 2fold - beeing an Audio Geek who uses Mackie mixers (analog and digital) since Years and THAT Screeen! I love it, what Mackie does with this Product. Lets see, what the future brings, since Rode and Mackie are now one Coop - it only can get Better (i hope)

    I have the DLZ original at home. I use the RCP2 for work. They are both outstanding in their own way. The form factor on the XS and DUO is just amazing. I can't see how you could go wrong with either one. I lean toward the DLZ, I wish I had them all at home! :)

    The duo is my first higher end (is it considered higher end? Idk, $500 is high end to me, ahaha) interface, and I really love it! There have been some hiccups with usb connectivity, and I definitely wish the headphone amp was better, but coming from a focusrite scarlett solo 3rd gen, and then presonus io24, I'm very happy with my purchase!

I want to know how to compare the best overall for multiple use not just for podcasting and be able to use it for multiple uses especially for $500

      Interesting.

    Well, DLS's automix feature leaves Duo in the dust. It saves a ton of time and makes life easier. This one feature makes Duo lose the competition. Not to mention that digital to analog converters for headphones are sooooooo bad in Duo that it literally kills it as an audio device.
