    Back in the clinic to show those practitioners out there how we do some clever AP mobilisation help with increasing flexion ROM in the knee. I use this a lot with knee clients who are either post-surgical or have OA with joint effusion and chronic ROM problems. Watch your forearm angles and use the body as the movement.

    Hi, I can't straighten my knees , due to L4/L5 Prolapse followed by Surgery as I couldn't walk ( Complex Issues ) then followed by further Spinal Surgery, always in Severe Pain had to keep 2 pillows under knees. They do not straighten flat nor can I bring them back up to my buttocks.
    I'm Pàralysed Paraplegic & Bed Bound since 1997, can you help of suggest advice for severe cases and what is proper medical term.
    THANK You

    hello, I wanted to ask if you have had cases where even after a year after the operation the patient does not have flexion, I even had 2 manipulations under anesthesia and I still have no movement, I can flex passively (with great pain) but it is not active, always returns to the initial 100°, after the second manipulation there was a sharp pain in the ankle joint that extends to the entire fibula(sorry for my bad english)the position of the tunnel and graft was checked and everything is fine

    • @physiorehab
      @physiorehab  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes sometimes and then you have to work hard with the physio for many months get the movement improved

    Can loss of range of flexion be caused by a too short graft in an ACLR?

    • @physiorehab
      @physiorehab  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I doubt it’s a too short graft, maybe capsular scarring / capsulitis if severe loss of flexion long term

    Can we give this glide in case of post op patella fracture ?!

    • @physiorehab
      @physiorehab  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes as you are not mobilising the patella but make sure it’s not painful into flexion

    So if the pt has a hyper extension injury and lacks both extension and flexion of the knee, would it be appropriate to do an AP glide?

I tried to bend and it’s only at 30 degree, I can feel the stiff knee like u mentioned and I can’t go past any further. With the physio first attempt, i felt sooooo much stiffness. Is force bending the only way to break thru the scar tissue? Is my progress fine so far?
