Thanks for the great instruction, Can i apply this to a senior who has knee pain at 100’ degree knee flexion limit, post op (femoral neck fx), general muscle weakness,, .?
6 months ago I broke my femur, the break was a mid-shaft spiral fracture that descended into the knee area. I lost my range of motion and have just had hardware at the knee removed and an MUA, I am 53 degrees flexion and not improving.
hello, I wanted to ask if you have had cases where even after a year after the operation the patient does not have flexion, I even had 2 manipulations under anesthesia and I still have no movement, I can flex passively (with great pain) but it is not active, always returns to the initial 100°, after the second manipulation there was a sharp pain in the ankle joint that extends to the entire fibula(sorry for my bad english)the position of the tunnel and graft was checked and everything is fine
Sir I have distal femur communicated. Fracture 4 month passed knee bending 20 degree what should I do for knee movement plz suggest bone is not healing due to improper fixtatio n
Hi, I can't straighten my knees , due to L4/L5 Prolapse followed by Surgery as I couldn't walk ( Complex Issues ) then followed by further Spinal Surgery, always in Severe Pain had to keep 2 pillows under knees. They do not straighten flat nor can I bring them back up to my buttocks. I'm Pàralysed Paraplegic & Bed Bound since 1997, can you help of suggest advice for severe cases and what is proper medical term. THANK You
I had 2 way tibial plateau fracture. It’s been 6 weeks post surgery and now starting to bend. I tried to bend and it’s only at 30 degree, I can feel the stiff knee like u mentioned and I can’t go past any further. With the physio first attempt, i felt sooooo much stiffness. Is force bending the only way to break thru the scar tissue? Is my progress fine so far?

Great video! As a road marathoner for the past 5 years, I'm always looking for new tips on motivation, getting stronger and preventing dreaded injuries. This post is very inspirational. As a fellow TH-camr, I love sharing my experiences and knowledge as well. I just posted an interview with Physiotherapist, Brodie Sharpe all about pain and injury. Sounds like a tracking and tightness issue in your patellofemoral joint. My program here should address those issues: www.physiorehab.com/rehab-programs-knee-patello-femoral-rehab

Can someone after 6 months of post op knee flexion restricted to 90• can have advantage after getting some physiotherapy session?
It looks like you, as a patient, would need someone to help you with this exercise? Cannot see how I could do on my own knee! Am I wrong?
Can this be done for someone who's had a knee replacement?
Is that useful for tibia nail implanted person
👍
Thank u !!could u show thise mob.in real case rather in demonstration
Can loss of range of flexion be caused by a too short graft in an ACLR?
I doubt it’s a too short graft, maybe capsular scarring / capsulitis if severe loss of flexion long term
I had MPFL surgery 3 months ago. How long does it take to get full flexion in knee getting my heel to my butt.
Everyone is different, and there are manny factors
Hi Tim, what about the tape job you mentioned here to "lift" the patella? Is that in another video?
Yep just have a look in the channel under the taping playlist
@@physiorehab thanks Tim!
Can we give this glide in case of post op patella fracture ?!
Yes as you are not mobilising the patella but make sure it’s not painful into flexion
So if the pt has a hyper extension injury and lacks both extension and flexion of the knee, would it be appropriate to do an AP glide?
Yep
So this is safe for a tibia fracture?
If it’s healed

Yes sometimes and then you have to work hard with the physio for many months get the movement improved
You didn't mention osteoarthritis. Is this good for oa too?
Yes I use it for OA a lot

Tim, I just love your videos. Is there anyway I could do this to myself, using a strap to pull in that same direction?
Perhaps yes - not a bad idea!
Who dislikes this? Lol, great information.
Got me confused too! Lol
A load of bs.
The knee joint is a condyloid joint, not a hinge joint. Very informational though!
My issue is with the hamstring very tight preventing me to do a flexion over 95 degrees. What should I do. Thinking of hamstring needling.
Hamstring tightness causing flexion issues? Do you not mean quadriceps?
