This was over looked Because EA threw this amazing game under the bus with absolutely no marketing or promotion. Such a great game, i highly recommend this!
A lot of people refuse to play anything EA. I'm glad the devs aren't with EA anymore. Their new to come game "The Midnight Walk" looks amazing. I hope it'll get the attention it deserves. I've tried to get several people to play Lost in Rnadom and no one does. I don't know how you can look at the claymation style and go, meh. At least the EA haters have a kinda valid reason. EA are ruining the IP with the slop of LiR2 coming out. Devs need to learn to never sell away their IP, unless they no longer care about it.
I finished this game TWICE, and I LOVED every single time, everything here js amazing, the art, the gameplay, the battles, EVERYTHING. This game deserves more love.
I’ve played heaps of games, but this is the one that screams the most as the potential for something truly amazing. I feel like if the enemies had just a bit more depth to them then it would be amazing. Queens shadow is my favourite boss simply because it can still fight you as you roll your dice, turning a prieviously safe zone into a threat
ugh i love this game so much! i bought it on my switch a while back and forgot about it but i recently started playing it again and i’m hooked! the one problem i really have is the map, i have no clue where i am, what way i’m facing, and how to get to certain areas and it makes gameplay very difficult at times. I really wish they’d at least add a player marker or show what way the player is facing. that alone would help the gameplay immensely!
one of the best video games i have ever played with the best combination of everything i love in video games combined into one and it was $4.99?????? i would have payed 40 for this. it’s so good
Found out about this game just a few days ago. I was a bit unsure at first but decided to give it a shot anyway and I’m so glad I did I fell in love with this game soo fast. The combat is soo good and interesting also I really adore the story and characters so far ( I only just finished two town yet). Was also quit surprised and sad to see that it’s so underrated.
Finally got around to this one never heard anything about it till like a day ago and just wow. I'm only a few hours in and absolutely blown away. Must play
i love the art style and the combat system i hate card game turn based games but isurprisingly really enjoyed it and the world and the characters and the story was great i thoroughly enjoyed it
I've been meaning to play this - saw it on stream a lot and really enjoyed it - but admittedly I had forgotten about it already. It is a shame it wasn't be more remembered. Kinda reminds me of American Mguee's Alice in some weird way.
I truly love this game. I usually play games while watching TH-cam and this is the first one that made me pause so much I just stopped watching. I will BEGGGG for a sequel if I need to.
Just to note, The Midnight Walk is the devs next game, not LiR2. EA took the LiR IP and are just putting out slop. The Midnight Walk looks amazing. Just in case you aren't aware. I wish people would listen to me when I suggest LiR as a good spooky, but not scary, game.
@@TamanduaGirl oh yeah! I did find out and I'm looking forward to The Midnight Walk. I really like rouglites but thought the next Lost in Random heading in that direction just did not fit right for that series
@@manutdfan231 Yeah, Binding of Isaac is my most played game, so I'm not anti rogue like but it does feel wrong here. The fight scenes don't even seem like the same world and graphics really. Where as the fight scenes in the first were still fully in the same world. You were just fighting in an area in it. I guess we'll have to wait to see more of what they do out side of the battles but I don't hold high hopes. Right now it feels like they tried to shoehorn the characters into their preferred game type, instead of it being a real continuation for the first world.
I feel like this game got absolutely no push from whoever published it, either because they didn't have the budget or because they didn't think it'd succeed, which is a shame as it looks great. Much like you, I saw it at some sort of event... But then I never saw it again. I don't even know what systems it's available on. AHaha, just spotted it's an EA Originals. That'll be why I never saw it again. They bring these guys in, make something great, and then just move on to advertising the next standard EA product. Why they even have the Originals brand, I don't know. They produce great things but then support them in no way whatsoever.
This game does look absolutely adorable and inviting. And you’re right, my first thought was Tim Burton! Looks like Alice In Wonderland inspired as well, collecting cards and the dice etc. I like how he’s called Dicey. Reminds me of the egg sidekick from Magical Hat (Genesis Megadrive) that me and my fam called “Eggy” when we would play that game☺️. And your British accent is relaxing in and of itself😌💗
8:57 Not really that's case of any card game besides you can pin multiple cards if you want and run ample cheat cards to help play your full hand. I ended up running 6 cheat cards in my final deck; you can also play a 12 card deck by playing 3 Game Master to make your deck super consistent.
It doesn't reward exploration. You find your way into a well-hidden little cranny and there's nothing there. There's never anything there. It's a beautiful game though.
I really like the atmosphere, artstyle and story but I cannot get behind that combat. It’s clunky and annoying and I’ve tried four times over now. Sadly there are no cheats out there who would make that part bearable enough for me to play trough the rest yet.
@@claytonwyatt9780 I don't think so. You have to roll a dice and freeze the whole battle every few seconds and then make almost no damage. It's the opposite of fluid gameplay for me. If you think otherwise it's still fine dude 😂
@@nooneeeyThere are cards that improve your damage via buff/debuff and playing a 2nd copy of a melee weapon increases its damage. Throwing the dice is basically the same as opening your inventory most other games besides it's nice having a bit of breather after using only your slingshot
It’s criminal how I got this game for $3
I'm about to spend $3 on it too!
I just got it and man, an hour or so in and I know this is a gem already
Still $2.99 SWITCH.. getting ready to buy this minute😊 2-1-24
I JUST BOUGHT IT TOO for £2.49
Which I'd say would make one over look any remaining glitches one might encounter.
Same!
This game really deserves more attention!
I also find it very sad that there isn't a full OST playlist of this game on TH-cam
Who's here after the Lost in Random The Eternal Die announcement trailer?

Me too! Hidden Gem, for sure. I hope it got enough love to get a sequel.
Personally, as soon as I saw the trailer I was like : "...I have to get this"
And it didn't disappoint 🎉
Incredibly underrated, this game made my gf love video games. She would explore and I’d battle for her. She was sad when we finished it
Mate I was sad when I finished it, haha
Fun Fact, the voice of Manny Dex was also the chief puppeteer of BB-8
Say less! Sounds like the Fiance and I are getting this game on the Switch!💙
The artsyle reminds me of nightmare before Christmas
I agree 100%! This is one of the best games I have ever played, and I have been an avid gamer since 1978
Just got this for $3. It’s like Tim Burton meets Magic the Gathering and I’m so excited to play it.

Released in 2021 but the magical music, world, that narrator makes me think of those early 00s kids movies. I was hooked right away, great game
Looks pretty darn interesting. I was thinking about picking this up.
I just adored this game and am soon to play it again. Thanks for this video!!

I had an error happen when it was auto saving and my save file was corrupted and erased. Started another game, and finally made it to Sixtopia
NEW GAME ANNOUNCED FOR 2025
I cant tell it its a sequel or prequel
It looks like a spin-off that takes place after the first game. I can't wait!
This game was overlooked because it wasnt much advertised if at all.If i hadnt looked for something cheap on the store i would never knew it existed.
I can't remember if I saw as much in the video but you're right. The fact EA didn't market the hell out of this is a travesty.
I got this game for 4 frickin dollars, such a steal

Switch version worth buying?
No idea, haven't played it
@mikesanfilippo yes
Just completed on switch, works great for it. Very few bugs or issues I had, which is saying a lot for switch games
Yes, very much. I have it both on switch and pc. It plays well on switch
Its 3 bucks now on Switch 2-1-24 but not for long so you better hurry and grab it😊
No jump button. Pass.
My concern about this game is it's too "kidsy" to be interesting...love the visuals but I'm worried about the story/dialogue. Is that the case?

Interesting, i like the atmosphere and the story, hate the artstyle, but the best thing imo is the combat.
@@ericoliver1603the art style is beautiful. It’s a nod to the classic alice game.

2024 here! Just finished this game! Loved every second of it! Hope there is a sequel! Hidden gem indeed. Can’t believe I got it for $3.
Yeah I can't believe EA did such a bad job promoting it, it deserves so much more love
The developers are making a new game called The Midnight Walk
Where did you get it for so cheap?
