Thanks to this video, I have a new motivational message to post in my office to ensure my emotional connectivity is always top of mind: "Taste the Pepperoni!" Awesome!!
Two schools of thought on this. One that you should focus on the emotion and not pay so much attention on trying to sound a certain way, the other that you should pay attention to your tone inflection, etc while focussing on the emotion. It’s a difficult balancing act I still struggle with.
I love this, and it gets me excited. I'm new to the VO space, but I'm also a brand message consultant (and a former copywriter). Focusing on the emotional impact of the message has always been the priority.
Thank you for this advice. I'm working on a voice over today for an unboxing series I'm starting and needed this. I've got a great script but delivering is not easy! I'm breaking it down section by section.
I”m a lawyer considering getting into VO work, I’ve been advocating the importance of focusing on emotional connections as a lawyer for at least a decade, this video makes me think this VO game may not be as hairbrained as I might have once thought. Also, all of your advice is essentially just the fundamentals of classical rhetoric. Nice.
This is so helpful thank you so much. I am literally just beginning VO and there’s so much information out there and this is something to hold onto now and for the future. Cheers
Thank you. I’ve been trying to voice over a video essay I’ve been working on. That’s what I’ve been missing, the emotion and how to project it. Thanks. Now it will actually sound lively.
I’ve been dabbling in voice over on a part time basis for 20 years and still can’t consistently read more than 20 seconds without messing up or not giving it the right feel! Lol.
Thank you! Now all I can taste is pepperoni. Jk. Seriously Thank You so much for this. I'm just starting out but this little bit of guidance helped to ground me as I record my demo reels.
Nice job Lenny! Even for a seasoned veteran, it's helpful to hear your intelligent and well articulated voice over tips.
Hey Rick! I appreciate that. Hope you're doing well!

Thanks Lenny, this was another great vidoe!
I use specific instrumental music to get in the emotion I want. Like upbeat music or sad music. I play the music while I record my voice.
Excellent video! Thank you so much for posting!
"Theater of the mind" ;) reading James Alburger?

I'm glad you found it helpful. Are you going to be working from freelance sites? Where are you going to place your demos?
What would you say its a vivid narration? Got that description for a touring audio
Hey Pablo, I'm not sure I understand. Can you explain further?
