I totally agree that having loads of folders is counter productive. It might be useful if you could search sub folders but at the moment, adding folders just makes it harder to find stuff. The other thing that would make the workflow exponentially better is if the search functionality was improved to allow multi level searching. For example, find all 65 Twin in Amp name, and search on this list to find XXX, and YYY to drill down. This could be updated to include saved searches. This would totally remove any need for folders at all. The other th ing that would be great would be to search for all NOT XXX. I.e. find all Marshall, all greenback speakers but gain level NOT above 5 etc.
+1 Just having the left hand side of RM behave like a normal Explorer interface would definitely help. I currently use a folder for each profiler and sub-folders for each of their packs (even nested folders within these for 'direct', 'studio' & 'merged' profiles). The other feature RM desperately needs is a *tuner*. I find I still use RM and ToastME in conjunction just so I get a tuner (and can finally hide my KPA away off my desk).
I think for live situation you’d rather be using performances with 5 presets in each than multiple folders with 100 of presets in each. Clean, boosted clean, crunch, dist and one with some gain pedal for q change. Rest I manage with hx stomp.
HW, I'm still into the process downsizing the number of profiles in my kemper. So what I do is keep adding folders of different profiles, free and paid, in the local library and audition each profile and mark the ones I'd like as favorite. Sometimes it can get too overwhelming just as there are so many good profiles to choose from. Although I already copied the entire myprofiler content into the RM, I haven't decided what I would delete and what to keep. My ears, they'd kill me in the process everytime so I take some days off of it. But then again, I'd get my ass and back in on it again. I just love them! I love the sound of them amps and all, you know, the pristine clean, the edge of breakup, the crunch, the plexi, the low mid and high gain, the lush mod fx and those heavenly delays and reverbs .... they're just a happy place to be really in man!
I guess you saw my comment from yesterday and created this 😀. Rig manager should have a way to easily add these folders no need to create or rename. Simple software effort and I’m kind of surprise that they didn’t fix that bug on version 3.0..
Hello!! Great video!! Can I ask you a question? My band does around a 100 tunes. My question is that it seems that each rigs output volume to the board is never consistent. Our sound person has to tweak my volume on virtually every song. Any thought on how to level that out so it behaves like a miked amp? Thank you!!
You tell them HW, this is something that has been an issue since the very first Rigmanager and so many years on and the simplest of things to fix and still they haven't fixed it. Hey Kemper 🤣
Probably a stupid question but how do i simply delete profiles off my player when in the rig manager? I purchased a profile pack and wanted only those profiles loaded on the Kemper player.
Agree this should be ‘fixed’. The code must be simple as so many programmes allow easy folder creation etc. Another issue for me as that the RM is now quite slow now I have amassed a great deal of profiles since first acquiring the Kemper and now find that using search is just slow and clunky. This isn’t an issue with processing power as I have a very fast PC, 16gb RAM and SSDs. No issues using standard file explorer so not sure why Kemper struggles with this. Kemper is an amazing tool, but RM has always been a weak point. Thanks for the video HW
How do you transfer the local library to a new computer. I just bought a new laptop and I can’t seem to get the folders I had in my previous computer, namely the local library. Sucky.
I’m having an issue, maybe you can help me out. I have the kemper rack and just purchased the kemper stage. Am I able to have two profiles in the rig manager ?? I’m struggling to get rigs into my kemper stage. Any way I can make this work?
Kemper's software is SUCH SHIT it's not even funny.....honestly, it's shocking how shitty it is compared to LIne 6 & Fractal. And I'm a Kemper owner....(sigh)
Thanks for this huge tip. ToneJunkie profiles are great btw. I really appreciate the fact that you help people get the most of their Kemper.
Stunning performance at the end. Thanks for sharing your gifts.
Bought a Kemper Stage last week and love it, hopefully Kemper will improve Rig Manager soon
Waiting since 2014....

Awesome and sooooo needed! I need this for my Tone Junkie profiles alone!!! Thanks HW!!!
I like the way you are explaining this, totally agree with you HW.

@tonejunkietv any update on importing folders?

How many Rigs you can import in your profiler I can’t put it more than 1000 in my stage am I doing something wrong?
Is there a way to delete some of the Rig Packs that the Kemper comes with? I right click on them but I can't delete?
I organize by { AMP Manufacturer > Amp name(In Subfolders) }. A lot less to memorize.
One year ago. Did they fix this yet?!
4 years later still not updated. C'mon Kemper just update the drag and drop folder maker
Exactly. What a pain in the Ass.
🧡
Bro, we here make new folders all day. What's the problem?

Just noticed how much you sound like Kermit 🐸
It ain’t easy being green!
