Play with sag, bias, clarity, compression in the power section of the profiled amp.
Heck for the most part my Kemper profile stage is just fine stock. Just minor amp preamp EQ does wonders already…

The most overlooked parts of the Kemper. The funny thing is people talk about how the Kemper does feel like a tube amp...blah blah blah..Then they ad compressor pedal...AND the FOH guy adds some compressor if its a clean tone...kemper does this out of the box!

I have just about given up on the Kemper. You waist more time messing with controls then playing. I pulled out my tube amps and forgot what I was missing, much easier to dial them in and that valve feel you can not get with a Kemper. The Kemper a great tool, but its nothing like the real thing. That goes for the Helix also. I recently picked up an AMP1 Mercury and that even sounds better then the Kemper and Helix, and its much easier to dial in.

I agree, the compressor in the Amp section is really a powerful weapon

New Kemper owner here, just switched from an Axe-Fx III. I love the tone of the Kemper and the ease of getting a great tone. I can play your purple Plexi all day long.

@@simons5652 thanks Simon, I spend too
Much time tweaking the Axe Fx and I also think the Kemper does the mid gain thing better 😊

Sag? No sag? I hear no difference.

That wasn’t a good example. I notice on high gain parts when I play sustained chords. There’s a subtle bloom to the attack. Like the videos point, it’s more feel than sound. If you had the sag high and played chugging thrash riffs the feel would be way off.
