I love these videos about using the full potential of my Kemper.
It is an amazing little box, but I know I am just scratching the surface of its capabilities so far.
These type of videos and those from Kemper are more helpful then a 1000 profiles.

Best video you have ever done. More instructional stuff please. I know how to play guitar. I know what tones I like. I have little idea how to make this fake amp box work for me.

@@ToneJunkieTV I think you should address the issues of using a pedalboard into the Kemper. I can't get my profile of my old Vox to react to my board like the real thing. Sounds okay until I stack drives. The tone falls apart and gets harsh.

This has been the most helpful tool I've found. I couldn't understand how the EQ's visible in your different videos (and Michael Britt's, too) were always centered or with just minor adjustments. Everything I've tried to dial in had the trebles jacked way up and the levels were too strong. After watching this I dialed in 4 or 5 profiles that sounded way better and took a tenth of the time it used to. Kemper should publish this process because the manual may explain what everything does, but doesn't make the process nearly this easy to understand.

It's nice that you demonstrated the Cab Low & High shift feature. That can be an extremely useful tool in a recording mix, and a real time-saver, since you can forego diddling with the EQ in an attempt to achieve the same results. Also, if you have spent time tailoring an EQ, you can perform a global shift quickly, without messing with what you've already worked on. Thanks.

The Kemper's EQ'ing capability is akin to something that a studio engineer would do during a mix, whereby he would modify a track, post-recording, by EQ'ing it after it was tracked. This is fundamental to any studio recording process. A comment such as "you're destroying a profile's integrity" is totally silly. First of all, the profile is still intact unless re-saved with changes. Secondly, in keeping with my studio example, the Kemper, as a physical component, is functioning as a sort of "studio-in-a-box" .... you have various "profiles" (recording sessions), and you as the studio engineer are fiddling with a recorded track after the fact as as to arrive at the desired result, to compliment the mix of the session. This is how I see it, anyway.
As always, thanks for taking the time to produce these fine videos. Best rgds.

I just bought my Kemper and love it. But I make tracks all day long and recording these great tones gives me the issue of whether to "record" the great FX or try and rebuild something in Logic every time... on the dry tones that gets close. It's a lot of work if I track loads of different tones and styles like I do. If Kemper were to offer a Native "plugin" of just the time & mod based FX... that communicated with the KPA we could just bypass the effects internally, record and just pop the plugin on the channel strip and get back to work.... to be able to then later adjust during mixing. I would pay extra for this of course! Wishlist #1

Great video, I am just starting to get to grips with my Kemper and this was really useful. I am currently trawling the internet to improve on the ‘amp in the room sound rather than a recorded guitar sound that I am finding so far. I have already worked out that this is a common question but I haven’t quite got there just yet. Btw, I downloaded some of your free profiles - thanks very much for that.

I am hoping you can do a series on recording with the Kemper into audio interfaces and a DAW.
That is an area I am exploring and would like to see best practices and ideas from the TJ perspective

when I engage a profile, if I add in effects and parameters other then what's there by default, is that the author's settings he used to add in? or my settings the last time I used that parameter? for example if I bring up a profile but DLY isn't engaged but its there in the background greyed out, when I engage it, is that the author's parameter for DLY? or mine based on the last time I used the DLY? thanks

Such Great videos :) Quick Question .... when making performances with the Kemper ... how do you manage the levels for different amps so that they're the same and not all over the place!! I can do it if I use the same amps and settings but what if I wanted to change up the different amp in a patch??

When I listen to guitar tracks alone I can hear some top end fizz when using studio headphones. It's light but it is there. You can't notice it in the mix. Is that digital artifacts of modeling or it's limitations, or is it from post processing of youtube videos, etc?

What monitors are you using in your studio? Curious about various models at different price points and deals. Thanks! I go direct when not at home so figured save on FRFR and get studio monitors which are needed anyway for recording as I am setting that up currently.
