I always thought these looked super hard but this made it so easy! I definitely found it easier when I secured a hair tie at the top of my ponytail and then took it out after doing the braid. It gave me a lot more control when I was braiding.

My hair is long and so thick and curly and I hate using heat products because my hair just gets frizzy usually. I’m trying to learn all of these types of hairstyles so that I can wash my hair and do these types of braids and French braids and your videos are helping me so much! Thank you!
If you you like a fishtail braid in pigtail, then just split your hair in 2 and do this braid on each side. If you would like it as a French fishtail braid, then I have a video coming soon :D x

It helped me to take a section to the side and work with that. I was able to see what I was doing, and used that technique until I was ready to try doing it on all of my long, thick wavy hair.
