co ordination is all it takes . like colour by numbers sort of idea.all reds are number 1 all green are number tweo and work on that stratagy with hair number 1 being red , hai r number 2 being green and follow suit.

Yesss! Thank you! I have Cerebral palsy, and therefore the motor skills of my right hand are quite crappy. But I could do it! The only braid I now am able to do!
I started where I could see the base, my right hand held one half of the braid and I basically did the work with my left thumb. It turned out quite ok :) Since my hair is sooo long (to the base of my butt :P ) it took me a while :D

I can braid, French braid etc. But fish tail always looked so complicated, so I finally with the help of TH-cam and you, I find its not scary or that complicated at all. I remember giving up because I thought this was too difficult, but trying it now, or at least using your tutorial, it seems so easy. Too bad I had my hair cut so it's a little short, but still works like a charm!

Loved this tutorial! I took the outer piece of hair and instead of pulling it across to the the side over the top, I pulled it under the larger piece, this created basically an inside-out fishtail braid.
I've never tried this befote watching your video. you explained it so well it came out great the first try! I never knew how easy it could be and can't wait to experiment with more!!

Rope braid will be great. Like those that you start from the top of the head with small sections and gradually increase the amount. Whenever I try, I'll always mess it up. Initially, for 1min, it will stay tight before it loosens up and falls all over the place.
Btw, Kayley you are amazing!!! I haven't tried any of your hairstyles lately because my hair is at medium length but I'm like one of those who watches the videos because of the "omg so fabulous" hair and your videos are generally really nice to watch. :D

Kayley, this is such a great tutorial! I've never seen one like this before on youtube... I mean, it's awesome that you explain exactly how to move your fingers in you hair and the analogies are quite funny! Keep doing tutorials like these, I love it! Also, I would like to suggest the dutch braid for the next video, I find it so hard to do it, my hands DO NOT follow what is in my head!
It wasn’t on this video, but when I saw you do a fishtail braid on a different video and I saw how you moved your fingers, I decided to give it a go. I tried doing it years ago but I COULD NOT get it at all. But after just looking at how your fingers moved, I managed to get a stunning fishtail braid first try!

Ok..I commented last night that your tutorial looked like it would be easy..well after YEARS of braiding others hair I was actually able to do a fishtail braid on my own hair!! (FYI..my hair is past my waist, so lots to braid). I followed the technique you showed #3 & it came out beautiful. THANK YOU! You rock at teaching!!

Brilliant! I need tutorials like this where it explains the technique in different ways. Perhaps next you could do french braiding? I can do it, but my method is slow and not commonplace, so having a video explain your own method would be awesome.

This worked! So impressed and did it perfectly the first time!! Once I picked up a section and transferred twice, I got it! About midway through, I didn’t even need to look in the mirror and was walking around doing it:)
