I finally got it ! I’ve always tried so hard to learn how to do this braid. I will definitely do on my girls. Now they are 36 and 42 years old.

I love fishtail braids! By default, my favorite type of braid :) I remember years ago, my mom always used to do my hair. I started to wonder how to fishtail braid. At first, I was so confused, but I practiced a bunch! When I was in India 2 summer ago, I did a 3D box fishtail braid on myself. A lot of people complimented it. My grandfather liked it so much he took some pics of it. Sorry for the lengthy story, I just wanted to share :)

All the other tutorials either have transitions that are too quick or they are too fast with braiding and they don't really explain which part of the hair needs to be grabbed....

So I gave up on this hair-do a long time ago 6+ years and for whatever reason tonight I decided I wanted to do this braid on my 4 year old, your video is by far the best compared to many more I’ve watched before, you made it so simple and easy to understand, my babygirls hair came out great she calls it “mermaid hair”. This looks so much easier than a french braid 😂😂 and this is my 1st time looking at a fish braid tutorial
I've seen other tutorials and yours is more in depth and further describes exacly what you need to be doing from start to finish. My first attempt turned out looking like you said a regular 3 strand braid bc the previous tutorial looked like she was picking up strands to cross over from each side and not from underneath and didn't say that you needed to be taking real small sections & that's what ultimately kept my braid from turning out like a real fishtail braid. I'm very new to this type of braid so I didn't know that these details were so important. Thank you very much for your tutorial!

Nice I'll be looking forward to more, I remember I did something similar to this except it was like a side braid, instead of a normal braid I just only using two strands lol at the time I didn't know it was called a fishtail.

I’m a 20 year old guy and always have my mom do simple double braids from the front to back to keep my my hair up. (Hair down is almost to my butt and is BLONDE) I’ve always wanted her to do the fishtails like Legolas but she doesn’t know how.
