As a musician who loves writing synthwave and ambient music, I will make it a goal to write full songs of these for you then 😉 I find these new tunes absolutely fascinating to listen to!! 🔥
These are THE best Apple tones we’ve had in YEARS!! I love every single one. They’re unique and don’t sound generic. I want to create a mashup of all of these in GarageBand. These are much more pleasing especially for waking up to. 3:04 ‘Journey’ is giving off MAJOR Nintendo DS vibes
Some of them should be made into longer pieces! I specially like Canopy and Unfold, I'll probably change my ringtone and alarm to them when the update comes.
Putting my conspiracy theory hat on, Unfold sounds like the scrapped theme for an Apple TV+ show - I could absolutely imagine it as the title music for SILO if they had gone in a different direction with intro
I like the ones that sound slightly out of tune and vaporwave-ish like Chalet, Daybreak and Shelter. Reminds me of a little cozy room that you would be able to wake up in a good mood from.

Couple of things-there are new alert tones as well, and those are REALLY nice. Less great-these new tones don't seem to have made it over to the new macOS, which is annoying because I prefer when it sounds like my iPhone.
Best new feature of this update HANDS DOWN!!! Edit: Side note, they even updated Reflection. It sounds a little different now compared to its original version from the iPhone X 👀.
I didn’t know that there were new ringtones and I’ve had iOS 17 for a while because I’ve had the beta. I don’t usually use the default ringtones, just text tones, but these are actually pretty awesome.
To be honest, you wouldn’t be the first one. I will be switching to Samsung in November, but seriously I have contemplated because the ringtones were so bland and boring prior to these
What's crazy is hearing how much they've adjusted the sound-mix to sound near-perfect when listening on an Iphone device. Me hearing these for the first time on the 13 was such a neat and enjoyable experience knowing that apple truly gave the ringtones its all to make it sound as great as it does!

The previous main ringtones actually came out in 2013 with iOS 7 (inc radar). iOS 17s ringtones are the 3rd gen
I can't believe the last time they released new ringtones was 10 years ago for IOS 7. time really flies
