We often watch Einstein for him being so smart, so friendly and just an awesome parrot ! But YOU my dear, you and your husband did a very great job in raising Einstein. I'm sure it takes a lot of work just like raising a baby. Great job and thank you for sharing your angel with us !
@@soniadowney7427 As I share with you the "challenges and hard work" let me make it clear that I am not complaining, only stating the facts. 1) The continual cleaning of feather dander, food slung and poops. 2) Providing supervision to afford him out of cage time and/or making bird-safe areas in the house to allow him freedom. 3) The multiple items destroyed by a very curious and active beak. Such as purses, shoes, and kitchen utensils just to name a few. Yes, we are responsible for keeping our things put away, but we do occasionally get distracted and he finds things that we don't always think he can get to. 4) The continual need to find interesting and fun things for him to do and play with. Foraging activities, toys, etc. 5) Continuing education about parrot nutrition, preparing & offering him a varied and nutritious diet. These are the top 5, there might be more I'm forgetting at this moment.

Einstein is amazing. Such a vocabulary and the clarity is unreal ("Here. Want some cantaloupe?"). He's so sweet and absolutely beautiful. (He does seem a bit fixated on squirrels, though...) ;-)
The way he lifts his foot above his head to wave like a human would just kills me! xD And pantomimes offering food with a hand, "it's goo-ood" so clever, and so obviously understands what he is talking about.

I did some work in speech therapy a long time ago. I just found this channel with Einstein, Marcia and Jeff (certainly am not sure if I am spelling their names correctly) and what is amazing to me, after watching random vids that pop up of Einsteins vids (I’m just learning to be more techy), that his abilities to “mimic” is OUT OF THIS WORLD. The more I watch and listen to him, I see how actually has picked up MANY intonations and cadences in his speech and his imitation of ‘emotion’. I am forever a fan! I have had a parakeet, who spoke a bit of words and had a great personality and then rescued another one that I can’t remember what he was species, but above the parakeet and below the parrot. Anyway, I have a very SMALL understanding of the sacrifice and love it takes to family a parrot. And THIS, this life , with Marcia and Jeff and Einstein.....it’s PRICELESS.
