    Thank you bro
    One I thing I would like to know regarding the fuel leak is it coming from the fuel filter or fuel pump because I face this issue in my
    E85 there is a fuel smell and leaking from the rear 😅

    Look forward to seeing how it responds to a an E85 tune.
    My Golf R that already was running a "Stage 3" bigger turbo, etc... is now running E85 & feels like a whole new car :)

      Before this LPFP upgrade I’d been running E50 and reached the limit of the high pressure fuel pump so it was risky since I didn’t have any headroom. I’m upgrading the low pressure fuel pump in the hope it gives me a bit of a safety margin with the HPFP (and it’s a lot cheaper and less issues than upgrading the HPFP). I’m not sure if I’ll be able to run E85 without also upgrading the high pressure fuel pump but initial tests show I’ve picked up about 200-300psi on the HPFP.

    I'm so glad to find this video. I have been searching for a video like this in a long time. I too have a 2009 Z4 35i and been want to upgrade LPFP for some time but there isn't to many options like 335i. Are you running 100% E85 now?

      Thanks. I’m currently running E30 and E50 as I’ve reached the capacity limit of the high pressure fuel pump. By the end of the year I hope to have port injection so I can run full E85.

      @@DarkePeak Hi, just following up if you now running full E85

      @@mta3562 yes, I’ve just started running full e85. I now have >600whp and the single Walbro 535 is able to deliver enough e85 (via direct injection and port injection).

      @@DarkePeak awesome, you the only one I know so far that ran full e85 on E89. What brand of port injection you used and controller if you don’t mind sharing

      Black Market Parts (BMP) port injection plate with Bosch 750cc injectors bought from Precision Raceworks. Controlled by Motiv Reflex+ (with ethanol content sensor and fuel pressure sensor) and custom tuning by Wedge Performance. I have a video underway to cover it - hopefully finish it in the next few weeks.

    Do you run into problem with LPFP control module (EKP) overheat due to upgraded pumps pull more current. That was the warning on FUEL-IT website on stage 2 upgrade.

    • @DarkePeak
      @DarkePeak  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No, there is no current draw issue with the Walbro 535 pump I used. But the 535 doesn’t have an inbuilt check valve so I had to add an external non-return check valve to prevent long cranking. Fuel-IT don’t offer this pump, they use the 525 pump. The 525 has an in built check valve but that causes it to draw much more current and risks damage to the EKP module.

      @@DarkePeak thanks for the info. can you give the link for the check valve.

      Sorry, I can’t find the details of the Canadian supplier I used. But here is an equivalent from an Australian supplier. Just Google E85 fuel check valve and look for something like this. Then you will need hose and fittings to make it fit.
