Lots of stuff goes down the drains, medicines, hair care products, etc. thru the sewer systems to the wastewater treatment plant. Those "cleaned" waters are reused, especially in the arid west for irrigation water that could be growing food. Or disposed to a handy river or water body.

How is fast food more affordable when people always say if you want to save don’t eat out! It’s obvious that a meal at McDonald’s is $10 on average, but a pack of any meat is $8.50+ get some rice and fresh vegetables that go for half a dollar on the lbs.
