THANK YOU. Finally someone who gives SNES Jurassic Park the callout it deserves. Honestly, the soundtrack ALONE is easily among the best on the system, and will stay with you for decades - it sure did for me, since 1993. The whole experience is CLOSER to the book in ways than the film ever was. I really love it - one of my top 5 all-timers.
As others have said, not sure how many of these were underrated, but Axelay is one fantastic game with great visuals and amazing music. Still one of my favourite shoot em ups of all time.
Robotrek was another underrated SNES game. Build your own robots, give them custom programs for special attacks, and build equipment and items you learn to make via books you find throughout the game. Grid-based RPG battle system with a fun story and fun characters.
Man the nost underrated SNES game by far is NINJA WARRIORS. It's a side-scrolling beat 'em up and when you play with Ninja you have like 12 different attack moves! While in games like Streets of rage you have 3 attack moves!! The graphics are phenomenal, the gameplay is phenomenal, the enemies are phenomenal! It's just sooooo underrated!!
OMG I LOVED METAL WARRIORS AS A KID!!! i could never remember the name of it. brother and i spent countless hours playing that game and vs mode was always heated. Plus destructible environments was so awesome for the time period!
It's good that retro gaming is experiencing such a renaissance. There are plenty of consoles that allow you to play gems. I love 16 bit, all these metroids and castlevania are just brilliant. The 2D graphics have aged very nicely and are definitely pleasing to the eye. And if it weren't for all these emulators, these games would be forgotten history and now it's possible that more people play them than back then.
You know, i never noticed it before but that golf type kirby game is laid out almost like ps1 and ps2 tactical rpgs. I wonder now, if they could've actually made a game like that for the SFC/SNES? Have a playing field like that, and use the 3d mode 7 effects like they did in Chrono Trigger to turn the screen around! Dude, that would've been amazing back then!
I really enjoyed the RPG "Lagoon" from that era as a teen and since about 10 people in history have actually played it, I'd say it qualifies as underrated (even if it's not a true masterpiece).
The "Sunset Riders" version shown on the video is the arcade one. The SNES version has many differences, including the fact that the system does not allow you to play in a team of four. Not to mention the graphics and the censorship of some elements, for example the absence of the cowgirl in a pink miniskirt that throws the stick of dynamite... and the sex workers.
the editing software that you use for voice--or your style of editing--makes you sound alarmingly like AI ;'] its the lack of space between comments that I really noticed it.
I don't even know about Nintendo untill my dad brought one for me when I was in grade 1 little kid however you can't play for several hours due to overheat of adapter it can explode anytime if you continue play while heated does they fix this problem now or still the same .
Why don't you show the actual SNES footage for most of the arcade ports? The only game where you show some of the actual SNES footage is Captain Commando.
Some were hits or were popular when released but I think it’s because today no one mentions them as often as the big hits are and many of them went unnoticed nor have much reviews or long plays or mention.
Sam Sho had a lot more animation and flash than AoF, so Takara kept the sprites small in order to retain the entire cast, and animations were mostly kept intact, or as much as possible from the arcade game.
Why did you show arcade footage of Sunset Riders rather than actual SNES footage? It’s noticeable because SNES only has two player, not 4. Let’s see only actual footage please.
Act raiser is definitely not an underrated or overlooked game at all. As a matter fact its usually ranked by most other youtubers as one of the best 16 bit rog games especially on super Nintendo
Go go Ackman will be under rated because it wasn't released outside Japan. All that effort into commentary and non into gameplay footage of the actual format version you're talking about.
It's sad that if it wasn't for emulation, a huge portion of these games would be forgotten & effectively dead forever 😮😢
it's not sad, it's amazing
It’s like after 15 years the game disappears (rare) or it becomes free via emulation… whatever
Demons crest is a prime example. Im not spending 100 dollars a game
Long live emulation. Just got my R36S retro handheld and I love it soooooo much!
Got it on 3ds@@justinrutzer9314

That's because it's in a top 50 list, best believe it won't be on any top 10 list 😂
Get them rose tinted glasses off
I absolutely love the snes. It takes me back to my childhood every time i play it. Thanks for the recommendations. Can't wait to try them.
This video just reminded me how great a game the legend of the mystical ninja was. I remember Playing it when I was a kid.
As others have said, not sure how many of these were underrated, but Axelay is one fantastic game with great visuals and amazing music. Still one of my favourite shoot em ups of all time.

dude, this sounds amazing! thanks for the heads up!
Several awesome suggestions I'm adding to the list of must plays :D
a short list of the games or some timemarks would be awesome...

I love this channel, great retro gaming channel to watch before you sleep and also when I workout in the treadmill.
Glad you enjoy it!

Finally a list with some true genuine gems.
Starting with batman i knew this video was gonna be epic! Loved that game as a kid

Secret of evermore had me at "bazooka"..
Sunset Riders' footage is from the arcade version. The SNES version was a 2 player co-op, not 4 players.
Nearly all Arcade ports in this list don't shown the actual SNES footage.
I loved playing Top Gear 2. There’s times when I really miss those games
Rock 'n roll racing is one I miss
I really enjoyed the RPG "Lagoon" from that era as a teen and since about 10 people in history have actually played it, I'd say it qualifies as underrated (even if it's not a true masterpiece).
I have had the honor to play Metal Warriors!!!
Best of the best was dope.

First time visiting the channel! Can't quiiiite tell if this is an AI voice. I lean towards yes, but thought I'd ask. Great vid either way!
There is something weird about the narration. I can't quite put my finger on it, though.
@@ROMBomb001at 24:14 talking about Kirby, there's no human / gaming fan alive who would say King Dedede like this AI does.
Metal Warriors is FIRE. there is a pvp mode too and it's awesome
the editing software that you use for voice--or your style of editing--makes you sound alarmingly like AI ;'] its the lack of space between comments that I really noticed it.
also the way the AI says king DEDEDE at 24:14 is a dead giveaway that this isn't a real person.
Regardless, he/it sounds awesome.
Wish they would put all these games you mentioned on Nintendo switch online already 😢😂
Lufia 2 is the best RPG ever made. Bolt statement, but I truly believe it 😊
as japan "called it", lol... they NAMED it.
Okay, but you're using a lot of footage that isn't from the SNES versions of the games, which isn't ideal.
I don't even know about Nintendo untill my dad brought one for me when I was in grade 1 little kid however you can't play for several hours due to overheat of adapter it can explode anytime if you continue play while heated does they fix this problem now or still the same .
i think i've heard of the three viking one...i think my friends had that.
Lets not forget the days we play games only for fun, not because of high review scores
most underrated game on snes is SECRET OF EVERMORE, this game is a top rpg and never on people top game
And the soundtrack is absolute fire.
I noticed a blonde girl in sunset riders clip....I don't recall that in the game....even in the coin op
Tetris Attack was all I could afford with my allowance money, and for some reason I fell into it, and I played WAY too much of it.
When i hear under rated i foolishly think they wont be that expensive.
No nostalgia, thanks to emulators i still play them
Fr I played the hell out of demons crest on emulators
Why don't you show the actual SNES footage for most of the arcade ports? The only game where you show some of the actual SNES footage is Captain Commando.
I'm convinced people have no idea what underrated means....
This is AI reading a script, it doesn't know what anything means.
How are these "underrated"?
Thought the same thing. Most of these were big hits back in the day.
Yeah lots of common games that were very appreciated
Some were hits or were popular when released but I think it’s because today no one mentions them as often as the big hits are and many of them went unnoticed nor have much reviews or long plays or mention.
Actraiser 2
Wait… “insert coin” into an SNES? Hmmm
We called it a SNES.
Kids today refer to it as ESS-ENN-EE-ESS 😂
Got a SNES in 1991. Never, ever, did I hear anyone call it a SNES. It was always Super Nintendo or Super ENN-EE-ESS. Maybe its a regional thing.

Funny how art of fighting had zooming but samuari showdown on snes didn't.
Sam Sho had a lot more animation and flash than AoF, so Takara kept the sprites small in order to retain the entire cast, and animations were mostly kept intact, or as much as possible from the arcade game.
top gear is a great success in Brazil
This video seems to show arcade gameplay instead of SNES on the arcade ports...
The SNES version of U.N. Squadron is a disappointment compared to the original arcade version.
Why did you show arcade footage of Sunset Riders rather than actual SNES footage? It’s noticeable because SNES only has two player, not 4. Let’s see only actual footage please.
You little beta
Act raiser is definitely not an underrated or overlooked game at all. As a matter fact its usually ranked by most other youtubers as one of the best 16 bit rog games especially on super Nintendo
Zero effort time stamps
zero effort AI voice
Where do I recognise this dudes voice from?
Every youtube video that uses AI text to speech?
who ever made the timeline sections needs to quit their job
Pretty sure that Total Carnage footage is entirely from the arcade version. The SNES version doesn't look that good. 😆
Go go Ackman will be under rated because it wasn't released outside Japan. All that effort into commentary and non into gameplay footage of the actual format version you're talking about.
top gear 2 underrated?wow...
This whole channel wreaks of AI
Agreed.
AI will be the doom of all entertainment that is worth a fuck
Should change the name of this lousy channel to 'Marvelously Crappy AI'.
I can’t tell if this guy is Ai or… just awkward
You couldn't use the snes version of sunset riders? Lol using the arcade game footage instead... poor effort
