Hey man this is Billy. We talked last week. I just finished onboarding Friday. Just to let everyone know that’s interested that it’s not a joke. It’s a week long interview starting with your appearance and attitude. I went in with 32 years experience only to be humbled like a rookie and find a new positive outlook on the industry. The first thing they told us is “We don’t hand out keys here” And I promise you that you have to want to be there to make it. We started with 12. They hired 6. Also the DC I was at have a lot more majors that you have to cover. The wheels inside and out “no illegal welds, cracks, or debris. Fifth wheel is not only the jaws but you better touch all items on the fifth wheel. Bolt out, handle out, jaws open fifth wheel is mounted and secure to the frame and tilted back for proper coupling. Then when you hook, bolt in, handle in ( physically push in on it) no space or light in between the trailer apron or fifth wheel, jaws locked. When you get that hat you will have a great feeling of accomplishment.
@@Billyparker-ie7ze Thanks for that update Billy, and for the info on the pretrip. I tell everyone to pay close attention to how the trainers demonstrate it, and do it exactly as they do. Each DC seems to do it a little different these days. Congratulations on completing onboarding!
@@getrichwalmart man thanks for the videos. You gave me a head start that helped me be successful. Maybe we will run into you out there someday
Thank you for the information trucker. Keep her shiny side up!!
Thanks for being Transparent.
great info. I have a couple of driver friends who retired from Wmart a few years ago.
Thanks. I intend to retire here as well.
Great video
Wow seems like a pretty good Job.. Ive been driving for 12yrs, but i never made more than $80k. This sounds like something i would want to get into.
It's totally possible. Check out my other videos to see what it's about. I have more coming too.
Are the new trucks manual or automatic?
All new trucks coming into the fleet are now automatics.
Hello brother God bless you.
I like your content. (TH-cam)
I have some questions for you: I currently work at a Walmart in Hoover-Alabama, I have all my documents and papers in Rules but I am HISPANIC.
I want to know if Walmart's internal training program for new truckers is active here (in ALABAMA).
I HAVE BEEN DRIVING 18 AND 22 WHEEL HEAVY DAILY TRUCKS IN MY COUNTRY FOR MANY YEARS
I want to enroll in Walmart's internal training program because I do not have a CLASS A CDL.
Do you know: WHERE, WHEN AND HOW I can start the training.
I work the night shift. From 10 at night to 7 in the morning stocking merchandise on the shelves in the hallways.
I am afraid to ask my direct supervisor and my store manager for this information because I fear that instead of helping me. Maybe they just discourage me. And just advise me to forget about that idea. I fear that they are worried about running out of staff, among other things.
I am a father with three beautiful daughters and I am truly passionate about being a truck driver. I hope you can understand me and help me with the information. God bless your projects and your channel.
Is it drive4Walmart? is that the website to the application?
@@DavidRussell-m5e Yes it is. From there you can scroll through the list of available openings at distribution centers across the country. Click on the job description and it'll bring you to the application. Please be sure to include my info to help expedite your application.
I just scribed to your channel
Thanks!
I’m trying to get on with Walmart. Do you get a driver referral? If send me your info
@@peter5824 I do get a referral bonus, and I appreciate you using my name.

Best of luck to you. Let me know if you have any questions.
Also does Walmart hires fresh out of CDL A drivers for school
No, you must have 30 months of full time tractor trailer driving experience in the last 4 years to be eligible.
Does Walmart have Inward facing camaras?
@@mr.ComnandoSpawn no, only forward facing
I don't have my CDL yet, do they hire drivers without any experience?
No, you must have 30 months of full time tractor trailer driving experience within the previous 4 years. EXCEPTION: Select store, warehouse, or supply chain associates with at least a year of employment at Walmart can apply to be a driver through the Associate to Driver (A2D) program, in which Walmart will put them through an intensive 12 week training program to get their CDL. We have a couple A2D drivers at my DC currently.
@@getrichwalmart Interesting! When you say "select" stores, how do I find a store that is willing to do the A2D in Indiana?
Does one haul regional or over the road style ? Does one have to have hazmat endorsement?
@@apadilla0352 We are mostly regional. Our service area is generally a 600 mile radius, but that can extend further if another distribution center needs us to help move their freight. It's common to work out of the same DC all week. It's equally common to bounce around to different DC's as the need arises.
@@apadilla0352 also yes you need your HazMat endorsement
How do you get on board? I'm currently a store employee but do not have a CDL. Will they train me?
Edit: I have a clean driving record and can pass a drug test at any given time
Ask your manager about the A2D program (associate to driver). Well qualified associates with at least a year of employment at Walmart may qualify to be trained for a CDL.
@@getrichwalmart that sounds pretty sweet. Goint to ask about it the next day I work
Is there slip seating?
Slip seating is mostly done away with. I have my own truck and use it every week. But there are occasional times when another driver may need to use my truck, such as if their's breaks down and they need a truck for a day or two to finish their week. For that reason I remove my bedding and mattress liner each week, as well as empty my fridge. But I leave my other stuff. It's very rare that someone uses my truck on my weekend.
There are also schedules, called "programs", where multiple drivers share the same truck. You still have the same truck all week, but when you go home for the weekend, another driver from your program will hop in the truck for their week. After your weekend, you hop in the second truck in your program for your week. It's cycles back and forth like that. You're in one truck one week, the other truck the next week, and so on and so on. It's Walmart's way of keeping those 2 trucks moving 7 days a week, instead of having them idle for your 2 weekend days.
I know it isn't ideal, and most drivers don't like the idea of sharing a truck. But I will say that the drivers in the programs work together to make sure the trucks stay spotless inside and out. I did it for 2 years and there was never a problem.
@@getrichwalmart If I get on the program where I have my own truck would it be possible to bring my pet cat with me as long as she doesn't make a mess
How/where do you apply for this?
You go to drive4walmart.com to apply. There you will search for a facility in your area that's hiring. Here's a link to my video that explains the process.

@getrichwalmart8974 Thank you Sir!🫡
Also, do they have inner facing cameras in their trucks?
@@alphadriver104 no, only forward facing cameras. They only come on when triggered by a hard brake, sudden swerve, etc
Does Walmart have local driving
Yes. All DCs have multiple schedule and route options, including local driver positions.
You're working 70 hrs a week to make that money.
@@deltoro5346 No, I work about 60 hours per week, as do nearly all truck drivers. And Walmart pays a lot more than most other carriers. So I fail to see your point.
@getrichwalmart I've worked for private fleet. Every d.c is different , but I had a 5-2 schedule and I had to always max my time to 11-14 hours those 5 days, going back and forth to stores, vendors , and back to D.C
If anyone here works out of FT. Pierce, FL please contact me. I’d appreciated. Thanks.
