was wondering is this before or after applying icc profiles to both?
Can you please cover how the graphics card handles each monitor? I heard that especially with the neo (dual 4K) there is not really a GPU that can truly handle that yet. What’s your opinion/ experience in that regard?
Oh and is it possible to game in splitscreen (fullscreen with half the monitor) and have like a TH-cam video on the other half (in full screen on the other half)?
Thanks for this review it was really helpful! Appreciate the detail you went into with the pros and cons, looking forward to your next gameplay video showcasing it
Thank you so much, and I have a new video coming in tomorrow 🙂
Thank you for the helpful review on both monitors! excited to make my next purchase!
Thank you for this video. I really enjoyed your review. You’re talented
Amazing Quality you put in your videos, thanks!
Thank you so very much!
Need a re-run of this topic with the 49" OLED vs the 57" Neo and see if the higher res and greater size increase the funfactor and immersion enough to take the W over the OLED.
Here is hoping to get a 57" OLED without text fringe issues and no burn in problems in a couple of years and then that will be an instant buy once the price is sane.
I don’t comment often but this review is amazing quality. I thoroughly enjoyed this. Thank you! I ordered mine yesterday!
Thank you so much for kind words that means a lot, and I hope you enjoy your new monitor!
Thanks for this review, really helped a ton
Glad I could help 🙂
I've had the OLED since release and I just wish it had the same curve as the original G9. Other than that, It's the best display I have ever set eyes on.
It's been a week since I got mine and I absolutely agree. Monitor is insanely gorgeous, the only (real) downside is the curve. God I miss that.
Seems this has been a consistent sentiment for many.
@@zGrego What I have heard is Samsung didn't need to add a curve like the original G9 because it's an OLED and you get far better viewing angles. If the original G9 didn't have such a curve, it would look washed out slightly on the left and right because of the viewing angle being less with a LED backlit display. Makes sense but I still miss it. I do find myself leaning towards the monitor to view things on the left and right because they're further away from my eyes.
The OLED is so superior - and there's a reason why it's not 1000R. It's versatile for non-gaming views. Also, if you're not far enough (or the right distance) from the 1000R monitor you'll have to turn your head which gets annoying when not gaming.
@@kristofferrer I'd still prefer the curve of the previous model in all honesty.
Thanks for a nice and honest review about the strengths and weaknesses of each. Would perhaps have preferred a bit more detail on the productivity side of things, especially the text fringing that sadly ruined the OLED G9 for me even compared with the 42" C2 which isn't exactly ideal for text either but still noticeably better. Thanks.
I had both monitors. The NEO is the way to go if your gonna be doing stock trading, coding, or productivity. OLED is better for pretty much everything else. OLED isn’t good for coding/stocks yet because it can’t render small text nicely at high resolutions, it just looks jagged and as a result is hard on the eyes for long periods of time. Give it a few years and OLED may become the king of kings.
I have the OLED, and I thought the same out the box - I use it for gaming but also for my day job (programming) - until I turned on HDR. Text now looks crisp as anything I have seen on any screen.
I agree with this, but I think Micro-LED is going to be King in 2-3 years.
Did you do that on a Mac or Windows? I think HDR was literally the only thing I didn't try to improve the text quality. I briefly clicked enable but noticed the color profile got changed and immediately switched it off without taking a hard looking at text.@@UKSpike
@@UKSpike LCD in HDR is crispier.
Hopefully no burn in. I also have the issue i work a lot from home these days, so a lot of static stuff. But i am thinking about this screen...@@UKSpike
Excellent comparison! Thank you, 👍
Of course and thank you for watching
Putting two of these side by side looks sick. I wish I had a desk to fit two of these.
Thanks for the info. I currently own a Neo G9 and was considering upgrading to the OLED model.
Surely in terms of colors Oled will be superior but the lack of such an accentuated curve is a problem for me or at least a step backwards.
Knowing that the very high resolution model (7k X 2k) has been in development for a few years now I will still keep the Neo and make the big investment when the next one comes out.
Same here but how can I trade or sell my neo? Do you have any suggestions?
I hope the next g9 will bring 1000r curve back.
@@BridgeTROLL777 He did it
G9 Neo 57 was released :) You can buy it and it seems that overall it's even better than G9 OLED. Next year or two we will probably see G9 OLED 57 :))
Look for Family with Gaming kids that are starting and keep you price reasonable and they will be in 7th heaven @@komandanteify
I've been debating a full two weeks about the Neo vs the OLED and am pretty settled on the Neo. I mainly do web browsing and work (Outlook/Teams) with some gaming on my current monitors and the risk of burn-in is just too high for me to justify the OLED at this point, especially considering RTINGS latest video showing the risk of severe burn-in with 16:9 content after only 700 hours. Granted, OLED looks absolutely incredible and is actually cheaper than the Neo for black friday, both of which are the only things really holding me up on a solid decision, but hopefully OLED or newer tech will have solved or mitigated burn in more by the time I'm ready for another monitor purchase in 5+ years.
there hasn't been a Burn In for years, especially on this Samsung monitor, there's never been a case, don't worry when choosing OLED
@@straikada_ have you seen RTINGS video?
@@blueshiftmusic Yes, and they did extreme tests with OLED, making it almost impossible for anyone to use it that way. But anyway, an OLED is still not very safe, even though I've never seen a complaint about Samsung's G9, I'll opt for the NEO G9 for safety's sake.
@@straikada_"Extreme test" means just having the Windows taskbar on the screen for 8 hours a day. Samsung would deny your warranty request based on unreasonable and irrational use of your OLED monitor and for borderline abuse.
Your video unboxing video is the reason why I decided to purchase and I love you for it.
Though, I'd like to know what you think about the 57" version?
Bro your review is so good even the comparison is wonderful I wish that you review the next upcoming Odyssey neo g9 57 inches vs neo 49
O I would love to have the opportunity to do that and thank you!
I just ordered the 57" Neo G9. As much as I love OLED, the tech is still a no go for allround use with a focus on productivity. Can`t wait for Micro-LED to get the best of both worlds.
you cant drive this monitor in 240hz with today graphics card, only in low detail
@@iDexy88 Since when are there detail settings in word, excel or visual studio? Or what exactly do you think "focus on productivity" means? And since when do you have to max out your monitor at all.... ever heard of VRR?
UGH!!! the Neo IS OLED.
@@gabb159 nope, the 57" is Mini LED.
The real comparison: Neo G9 57” vs G9 Oled. I think most would go with the 57” with that head to head
After seeing this side by side I've decided for sure. I dont even have a neo. i got the plain old g9 odyssey. that Oled is going be so beautiful . was clear in this video . Thanks so much for the side by side. (even if mine is even worse than the neo lol)
After having the oled for a couple days I sent it back. Yea the black levels and contrast are better but the Neo is still no slouch. As long as you sit center of the monitor which I'm sure everyone will that has one, the washed out look will never be an issue. I just couldn't get over the bad text even after trying to improve it through windows. Also, bright HDR scenes look much better on the Neo due to its mini led. If you have a Neo I would say skip the oled and wait for the 57 inch version in September with the higher resolution which I think is a bigger upgrade. For newcomers, the oled will be fine as long as you can get past the text and lower HDR brightness. Enjoy which ever you choose
Dang sorry to hear that, also when it comes to the text clarity issue is this when doing productivity. When I play games and doing content creating stuff I haven’t had a issue with text. I love brightness but the inky blacks and more accurate color does it more for me on the OLED. I am hoping to get my hands on a testing unit of the 57 inch that monitor looks amazing. And hope your enjoying your Neo if your getting the 57 inch congrats on that as well 🙂
@LordCivickOG I play a lot of FF14 so seeing any text in chats or on screen was noticeable. I tried clear type through windows and it improved it very little but not enough that was fixable in my opinion. Even just web browsing was bad for me. I dunno to each their own but when I hooked my Neo back up it was like a breath of fresh air being able to read without strain. Do I miss the inky blacks and better contrast?, of course. I love newer tech like you but it's still the same resolution with better picture quality and better response. But that extra vertical height on the 57inch is gonna be something a lot of people want. Maybe I'll do a comparison vid on both Neos once it drops
@@Liquidswordz56Okay, I'll be looking forward to seeing your review of G9 Neo 49" vs G9 Neo 57". It would have been nice if you had also been able to compare G9 Neo and G9 OLED. I appreciate alternative or different points of view because there are many cases where something may be suitable for some people but inconvenient for others. :)
I would like to add that I have read about multi-display setups. Some people complain that having two 32" monitors side by side is too much and that 27" is more convenient. It would be interesting to hear your opinion on this matter in your possible review.
The HDR is brighter in HDR then the neo? wow... that would be bad... it should be S95B/S95C level i would think..
Thank you for your review, I was able to check out both of these monitors at a Micro Center. I eventually went with the Neo and the major reason it was because it's going to be my daily driver for work and the burn-in with OLED stopped me from getting it. I didn't even want to mess with the issue even if I could prevent it from happening for years. I also have a very lit environment for my work, and the ClearType text looks better on the Neo. Now with the local dimming on the Neo it has a good black level not as good as OLED but passible to me. The OLED looked better and if I was doing graphical work, I may have opted for that instead. They both look gorgeous, but the OLED looks better by default, the color accuracy out of the box for the Neo needed some work before I was happy with it. All in all, you can't go wrong with either.
underrated channel. good stuff keep it up
I appreciate that so much thank you!
@@LordCivickOG keep it up. Love the actual 4K high quality gameplay of variety of titles. Also the side by side was nice 👍🏽 I could see difference.
Thank you for the video
thanks for this video, I'm going to wait a little longer to see if the oled gets the same curve as the neo in a future release.
This is so useful thank you
No competizione ! Thanks for this video 1 to 1 ❤️
great video, when you went from your CX to 32:9 G9 did everything seem zoomed out to you vs 16:9?
Great video!
@LordCivickOG Personally I am planning to use the OLED G9 as a 2 monitor setup (Currently I have 2 x 4k monitors running at the cost of decreased FPS). Diablo4 for example will not use the full 5.120 x 1.440 Pixel anyway so I would use one half of the screen, i.e. 2.560 x 1.440 for playing and the other half for browsing etc. a) is that even possible with the OLED G9? b) Would I feed the OLED g9 with 2 signals/cables (DP and HDMI) for that or should I use any built in or additional software/mode for that purpose with only one input cable? Thanks a lot, Chris
Very good review. I will consider the OLED G9 after it :) I understand that the camera can't capture exact colors, brightness, etc., but is the difference in colors and brightness between OLED and Neo nearly the same as in your video, or is it greater or maybe less?
I’d say it’s greater for both brightness and color’s especially when HDR is enabled
I’d say it’s even bigger a difference when it comes to color and brightness.
thanks for this comparison
You’re very welcome!
thank u for this video!
Of course thank you so much for watching
Great video, I’ve had the OLED since release and I’m still going back and forth between the OLED and my 38” ultra wide. I wish it had more height like my 1600p ultra wide but the pure blacks of the OLED have me in a headlock. 😂 I think for the review you should cover some FPS games that don’t support the 32:9 aspect ratio as nicely as 21:9 just so everyone has idea of the compromise there (for example, Call of Duty) and your take. With that being said, do you plan on keeping the Asus 360hz 1440p alongside the OLED?
Thank you so much and thank you for watching. And yeah the black levels on this thing are insane for sure, gonna be very tricky going back to anything else 😂. I can make sure to cover the lack of support in the review, and of course 360hz is still legitimately insane for a lot of titles. And I’m also planning to start streaming again with Diablo 4 season 1 coming up, and I will be using the PG27AQN during the streams 😁
Hey question? But first, Appreciate the video, ended up buying the OLED myself. I wanted to know if you have the name of that arc light above your desk?, seems like it would be perfect for streaming my dark skin
Im planning to get a new monitor. Right now im on a IPS Alienware and i really like the colors. But the way you describe the OLED, is like maybe thats my next upgrade. I play a lot af BF 2042. So that would be nice to see and have an idea how it looks. I know the camera cant record how it looks in real life. But just curios. And also i have a 13700k with a 4090 FE. Im curious how it work together with that build.
And also like you say it yourself about the curve. That i am also curious if the less curve compared to the NEO is a problem for me. The Alienware i have now are also 1800R i think.
Thx
Can you please show your color settings and such on the neo g9 regular ?
If my PC were exclusively for gaming, I’d go OLED. But it’s mostly used for work with a lot of static imagery. Burn in would be inevitable after a few years. Love my OLED LG CX TV though.
CX is amazing, also I know this is late but love your pfp!
Damn dude, you need more subs. You talk real world language. Looking at stats is good, but I feel like everyone gets lost in the numbers. Appreciate you conveying the strong points for each monitor and the fact the games you play, I can relate to. As a result, 5 days until the G95SC from BB appears on my front door. If that doesn’t do it then there is the 57 right around the corner. 😂
Which one did you end up going with 👀?
@@LordCivickOG G95SC hands down
@@omikurita LETSSSS GOOO, hope your enjoying it 😁
Love my OLED G9, I had the original Samsung Odyssey G9, the text was definitely easier to read on the Odyssey G9, however the OLED G9 is so much more beautiful for gaming. My only real issue with the OLED G9 is that there is no safe place to mount my Tobii eye tracker and when I finally jerry rigged it and mounted it under the screen, the calibration wizard will not calibrate the Tobii eye tracker properly to the OLED G9.... This sucks because I play allot of flight simulator....
Bummer! I have the Neo G9 and I mounted mine with double sided tape under the monitor. I mostly play Star Citizen
@@omni_0101 I fixed the mounting issue, the bigger issue is that the Tobii eye tracker is designed to work with screens that have a maximum size of 27" for 16:9 and 30" for 21:9, the OLED G9 is larger…
Head tracking still works, but eye tracking is inaccurate. This still works for me because I only use eye tracking to login to windows but use head tracking for the games I play, such as flight simulator :-)
@@MOREFIRE11 nice! I mostly find the eye tracking to be annoying. But I otherwise vastly prefer Tobii to my TrackIR 5
@@omni_0101 agreed Bro! So we still win! Happy gaming! 😎
Great video! Thanks for the comparison. I actually use my Odyssey G9 for work a bunch, and it comes in handy that there can be 2 different inputs displayed at the same time, effectively 2 separate monitors, but seamless. Can you use two different inputs in PbP mode on the OLED? Thanks!
I'm not sure but probably not. PbP on OLED is possible from the only single source or built-in applications (youtube, netflix etc)
@@socialreport2836that is actually the opposite. It won't let me put Netflix on one side (which I kind of was hoping for here).
But it does allow for two different outputs one in each side!
@@LucasRaynor2 outputs from a single source PC or 2 PCs? I know that it can have 2 outputs from PC and a console. I thought it behaves like 55" Arc (with built-in applications) but apparantly not.
@@socialreport2836 Yeah sadly not two apps like the Ark. But it can do HDMI + DP (it only has two inputs though so not two DP)
@@LucasRaynor Did you try to connect 2 PCs? It can behave differently with console+PC and PC+PC.
I've had the Neo since last year. I have no question that the OLED looks amazing. Much better for color contrast and black levels. I bought the Neo based on gaming, but I am blown away by how great it is for productivity too. I use fancy zones, and it's just so much better to have one huge continuous desktop to work with as opposed to 2-3 monitors. It's super clear and crisp. And it's no slouch for gaming. I definitely prefer the immersion of the more aggressive curve. And the picture and colors are awesome as well. I can't complain, and I'm happy with my purchase.
Don't use it for work primarily or it will get burn-in in around 2000-3000 hours (RTings longevity testing, all OLEDs are prone to burn-in with static images, no exception but for movies/games they are perfect).
@socialreport2836 sorry if I wasn't clear. I have the neo, which is mini-led. I think this is a better choice for me because it's just as good for productivity as it is for gaming.
@@christophercharles7605 OK, good, I also have it (49"). It seems that 57" is even better overall than OLED because of its resolution, size and curve (from a blogger's review who owns all the three G9).
but the 57inch is 2500💀
@@Pavasoz For 2000 it's possivle to buy it.
Could not understand the differences until I saw this video. My latest monitor broke along with my heart. I'm going with the OLED! thank you dude!!
Really sorry to hear about your old panel, really hope you enjoy the new OLED 🙌🏾
Thanks I was having a hard time deciding
Glad I was able to help 😁
Thanks for the comparison. Because of your video, I purchased oled g9😂 What cable should I use to connect with my pc? hdmi 2.1a or display port 1.4?
HDMI 2.1 has a bigger bandwidth than DP 1.4 so it can support higher refresh rates and so on... especially if you want HDR10. On HDR (10 bit) your are stuck at 5120x1440 and 100Hz since there is not enough bandwidth to go above (unless you do compressed HDR in 8bits, but that is not true HDR).
I wonder how the Neo G9 is calibrated in this video. I don't own the OLED G9 but I do own the Nintendo Switch OLED and an LG OLED TV. I like OLED but I also think most OLEDs are not bright enough when compared to Mini LED. This is easily noticed when watching anime etc.
The Neo G9 does get very bright when calibrated right and with HDR Dynamic enabled. Enabling that picture mode will allow for deeper blacks and more brightness. But it does need to be calibrated because the default setting is a little bit oversaturated.
A good comparison for how bright the Neo G9 gets is Ahsoka - Episode 5 when she wearing her white garments while talking to the space whale. The sky behind her is white and with the Neo G9 it looks gorgeous when compared watching the same episode on an OLED TV.
Thanks👍🏻
Good video, thanks for your work. I do not know how it is outside of Germany, but here the Neo is nearly 50 percent cheaper. I do agree that the OLED display is superior in a lot of scenarios, but together with the burn-in risk I do not think it is worth to pay 1.600 Euro instead of 800 Euro for an upgrade, that seems to be fairly small for me. I need it mostly for gaming and content creation, so I will go with the Neo. It´s a huge upgrad from my single 24'' curved LCD Samsung monitor anyways 😂
I guess you looked wrong, but that's also because of the stupid Samsung naming scheme. Or you got a very good price.
The non-neo G9 costs as I post this, ~800€ here in Germany. The Neo G9 ~1250€ and the OLED (non Smart) G9 ~1450€, so the difference is "only" 200€
If you are looking for a nice HDR experience, I would not consider the Non-Neo monitor.
The problem is the availability of the OLED I think.
@@peterk8874 I did not look wrong, but I got a good price. It is still available for that price. If you pay 1.200 Euro for it, you pay too much.
How’s the curve on the Oled in actual usage ? Do you prefer older g9?
i didnt understand when u talk about the brightness lvl. So what do u think in a dark room what screen have the better peak brightnes in HDR and the better HDR performance overall?
To me I like the OLED more because even though it isn’t able to get as bright as the mini led, the color accuracy and it’s ability to have some of the pixels turn totally off is more impressive to me when looking at HDR content.
very good comparison thanks for doing that antoher discussion samsung vs asus 49 od-oled?
I am looking to get either for stock trading, although the curve on the Neo is pretty aggressive and chunky
I bought the Neo then the OLED was available for preorder. Returned the Neo after a couple days for the OLED. I only wish the oled curve was more but the quality seems much better and the panel is much lighter with is a plus. My Wacom 32 is already heavy so the Neo probably would’ve been too much for the desk
The Neo IS an OLED. You got rid of the Neo for the older model.
@@gabb159 lies
@@gabb159 you could have just plainly stated that you have no idea what you are talking about....
Oh great - I couldn't decide if I want one super-wide monitor (like the G9), or rather two smaller curved OLEDs side-by-side. Now that I see your setup, I want two G9s side-by-side, as you have... ;-)
LoL
The monitor on the right, hands down, no contest whatsoever.
wouldnt say so. the oled has a magenta touch which is kinda weird. and the white is better on the neo. other than that the oled wins. oled blue and black looks way better.
Thanks!
Once you go Oled, you never go back .
I agree whole heartedly 🙂
I have alianware aw3423dw and I'm buying odyssey ark tomorrow, so not true statement
In home cinema I fullyagree. For allround monitors, not so much. The full screen brightness, auto Brightness limiter, for QD-OLED the text clarity and ofc the looming risk of burn in just doesn`t make it the first choice for productivity usage imho.
As an allrounder you don`t ever have to babysit, Mini-LED is better.
@@Grammostola I never had too babysit any of my oled once. Burn in is such a thing in the past. I have owned 2 oled monitors as well as 7 oleds tvs in my life. All used for gaming mainly and 83” for movies. You hear about these burn in story mainly from extreme testing or usage to push the limit of these panels from sites like rtings and such. As well cases where people leave their tv on for 24/7 on cnn and wonder why this happens. As for brightness, 1000nit to 1400nit (depending on tv/panel) specular highlight on 2% windows and 260/460 nit sdr/hdr respectively on normal window is plenty bright. Unless you sit in direct sunlit room there should be no issues. I even find myself turning down the brightness on some of these oleds. Also with the contrast ratio and perfect black, I find the brightness is plenty. The only thing I can truly agree on is the text clarity on these qd-oled., but it’s not a dealbreaker for me.
@@sinhnguyen8135I've just had bad luck I guess, two oled TV both used for gaming. I've got rocket league scoreboard burnt in, Forza speedo, Witcher minimap 😂 🤷♂️
So if you were just playing racing games or flight sims you would stick with the neo?
Asking because i just ordered the oled. But i play 90% racing sims.
Thanks for the vid tho. Answered alot of my questions!
Honestly for me I'd get the OLED regardless of what I play just because I love the contrast and black levels more butt yes for sims strictly sims I'd say the curvature of the neo might be more ideal.
I have an OLED G9 and the pixel response time honestly makes even 60 fps feel around 70-80 just because it's missing that delay that LCD panels have.
The brightness argument is silly to me, I've been flashbanged by this thing in a normal lit room opening my browser.
Only thing I don't like about these two monitors is the UI. Some settings turn off others and they rarely say why. Like why can't I have the built in dynamic eye protection filter while using Game Mode?
Why can't I use the 10 band equalizer with game mode turned on but can with it off? Yes a PC can provide a remedy for both of those complaints easily but my point very much still stands. Other than that though, this shit is sick.
Very nice comparison and the only one that is out thus far. I have a neo but getting a muddy/dirty appearance, and also blooming which i know is totally normal. The hdr does look great. I had cancelled my oled order as samsung reduced the price not even a week after pre order, and they are being scummy and telling me to cancel and re order ect. I instead picked up the oled LG 45 inch on prime day and will check out the tech, hoping that the PPI isnt as bad as they say :)
Edit: so the PPI isn't too bad, although I feel the resolution for the panel could be more as the UI ect is big. Oled is definitely incredible in terms of pictures and response time.
Vertical gain is nice but I feel like I prefer the neo g9, perhaps I'll wait for the g9 oled to drop in price and wait it out, as it has better brightness and res, and a glossy panel. Only thing that'd bother me on the oled g9 is the curve, if you have any comment on that? (I forget if you touch base on it in the vid) thanks :)
We need the HDR value comparison with window sizes :).. hope to see it out soon
Only one thing is needed to be said, 57 neo g9.. coming soon
@@dnsean03 yes but shitty VA panel, cant compare it with 49 oled
@@iDexy88 naw brightness is key and no burnin
Picked up the LG 45 oled on Friday and it's going back. The ppi IS as bad as they say. For the money I need something that does both well (games and productivity) but I remain torn between the neo and oled... grrrrrrrrrr
I think NEO is a way to go if you want to keep that monitor for years to come. I think on OLED the first pixels to go are the ones around the edges because of the windows UI and in games it would look weird to see brighter pixels on pitch black background.
For sure, also he clearly didn't put the neo to 1000 nits.
5:20 the way the Neo blooms on the edge to the dark areas compared to OLED... it's a completely different picture and vibe
Honestly i can't get over the less aggressive curvature.. you mentioned it.. it is noticable in some games... its not like you easily test and send this monitor back. so thats a real annoying.
That intro 🔥
We should do a drinking game with every time you say "now with saying that" :P
😂 I’ve been making sure not to use the phrase as much in my current videos
0:30 - not a subscriber but it was at this moment I decided I won’t become one either.
Thought I leave a comment since you are at 4K so you can grow as your content is sublime.
I’ve been around since 2006, people that talk like you become boring instantly. You are forcing yourself to speak generically, be you, I’m pretty sure the you that made the great content has definitely far more to offer than the forced version.
Thanks for the video, it was exactly what I needed for a quick comparison since I already own Neo and was considering OLED.
Appreciate you for watching and the compliment on the content, I’m not meaning to speak generically or forcing whatever to fit some boring box. That’s just how I speak normally lol, I will admit I was kinda nervous during this video which is why I come across somewhat more stern the usual.
I knew this video would be very important for a lot of people on making a big decision, so I just wanted to make sure I got everything right. If you check my other videos you’ll see more eccentric emotion and what I believe you’re looking for in videos. Again thank you I always appreciate constructive criticism and thanks for watching!
Will you do another comparison throwing the 57" ultrawide into the mix?
If I get sent a test unit for sure!
Do you have a setting it up video? Dialing in settings etc
The real kicker will be the HDR brightness test comparison.... we will have to wait till someone does that.
i had the neo for about 2 years now. No going back from super ultrawide ever! The Oled looks really good, but not enough for changing my neo out,
@LordCivickOG what is your xbox controller?
I had the non neo model and it was too bright for me. Felt like my face was being cooked too. Cant imagine the Neo being even brighter. But i returned it for other reasons and will be going with the OLED.
Your gonna love it!
Can you tell me what firmware update works good with the neo g9 49 inch monitor? Thanks.
Did you have issues with text clarity/web browsing? Do you think it's bad for coding?
The text clarity is definitely much worse than on VA/IPS panels.
Which do you recommend for strictly gaming on the ps5???????
About temperature? Does one generate more heat than the other? Get they too hot?
this is probably a dumb question but since the OLED resolution is 5,120 x 1,440 which i believe is 5K does that mean games will just render at 4k instead?
The game will render at 5120x1440 if the game supports it otherwise the next closest resolution you can usually step down to is 1440p. Used to be sparse support for the super ultrawide displays but that has been changing more and more games support it natively these days.
@Lord Civick : 4 months in.. do you have any burn in on the OLED ?
Not even a hint 🙂
Where you got that desk from I need a big desk so I can put 2 OLED on it
Yo, which Headset u using with the Woo Audio WA7?
Audio technica R70X sorry for late response!
Thanks
You’re very welcome!
This dude has 3.8k subs and a review quality amongst the better ones.
Crazy how far youtube and editing has become.
Remember when in 2010 multi-million sub channels had THIS EXACT editing quality, and the 4k sub ones had TERRIBLE 480P videos with barely any editing?
Yeah. Welcome to the future.
whole video is basically oled is so good for gaming. he did not explained much about neo. i am going to buy neo after watching this XD
Pfff jusr went from a 55 oled for som racing to 3x g6 32 panels. I miss my oled picture and looking at this now. 😅 goddamn
"now, with saying that" x1000
What is burn in OLED!!
Should I buy neo
As I am concerned
With saying that
Edit: just messing with you bro😉. Just got the oled one for $1k today from amazon. Thanks for your review!
Yeah I’m working on it lol, and hope you enjoy it this monitor is freaking sick!
right off the bat, you can see that regular bluish tint that's inherent to OLED, which in my experience makes it a very poor productivity monitor.. but the per pixel display of OLED is def superior for gaming and etc
Weird question, if there was a 57 inch OLED monitor next year, do you think a 7900 XTX could run that?
There already is a 57" and yeah, it can.
What is the minimum graphics card required to use 49inch monitor ? I have 1660 GtX ..😅
This is unrelated to the monitors, but X-ray Pad can make you a custom mousepad that will follow the shape of your desk. I don't have an L-shaped desk myself, but I've seen plenty of people on their discord with one and it looks great.
How is the height/vertical on these 49 inch monitors? Does it feel to compressed or do you feel like you can see everything at the right height??
It's OK for games.
@@socialreport2836 I finally seen it in person I don’t think I’d like it for sports games anything else yea
Waiting a little for 57 1000r oled
Both nice monitors , but they try to do far too many things regarding useability and the menu controls. Jagged fonts and not very good for work related stuff. They are good for games that actually support that resolution but revert to 3440 x 1440 when they dont. Buyer beware !
Thanks for the review. I’m now set on the OLED. Next up. OLED vs Neo 57. I mostly play racing and flight sims and have a 4090
Nice PC case! Where can I get one?
Idk if it's still in stock to buy but its the asus evangalion edition case.
The problem I have with OLED is coming out of blacks. A lot of times, it crushes too much detail. I have an LG OLED it tends to crush a lot detail since it does a poor job coming out of its blacks.
Drink a shot every time this dude says "Now, with saying that."
for a monitor of this size, what size should my computer table be?
5 inches
i hate that damn grey bezel how can they make something like that. im waiting for msi monitor when it comes to hopefully have a full black monitor.
