    Honda CRF300L Rally: Where the dirt ends and road begins, the CRF300L Rally is waiting to bring adventure bike capability to your everyday commute. The nimble design and plentiful low-end power combine with smart features for an ideal transportation solution through busy streets and bumpy trails. The bodywork is inspired by Dakar Rally racebikes, which means it looks as good as it performs. The tall windscreen provides solid protection against the elements. And the long motocross-style seat gives you all-day comfort and allows you to easily move around in the saddle. If you have a dual sport that’s even lighter and more affordable in mind, make sure you check out our honda CRF300L.
    Honda CRF300L:
    Balance is the key when riding any motorcycle. And we’re not talking about just balancing on two wheels: We’re talking about the balance between size, weight, power and handling that makes some bikes great-like the new Honda CRF300L. Based on our previous CRF250L, for 2021, it gets a larger engine with more torque and a whole host of chassis and suspension refinements. What you end up with is one of the best-balanced bikes ever for on- and off-road use. Perfect for weekend trail rides, it’s also among the best choices ever for commuting or urban transportation. And if you’re looking for a version with a windscreen and Dakar-inspired bodywork for a little more weather protection, make sure you check out our new CRF300L Rally.
    Yamaha Tenere 700:
    The Yamaha Ténéré 700 is a midsize adventure/dual-sport motorcycle manufactured by Yamaha since 2019. It features a 689 cc (42.0 cu in) parallel-twin engine which powers the motorcycle through a six-speed gearbox and chain drive. Brakes are equipped with rider-switchable (on-off) ABS. The "baby Ténéré" is the latest in a series of dual-sport Yamaha motorcycles named after the Ténéré desert stage of the Dakar Rally in the Sahara. The successor to Yamaha's XT660Z Ténéré was first announced as the T7 concept at the 2016 EICMA with an anticipated production launch in 2018. A refined concept was publicized a year later.
    Yamaha announced that delivery of bikes would begin in Europe in July 2019, and only the following year to the USA due to emissions and other regulatory delays. The liquid-cooled 4-stroke 8-valve DOHC engine with crossplane crankshaft was already in use and well reviewed in Yamaha's MT-07 naked and Tracer 700 sport touring bikes.

    I know it’s been said a million times but Suzuki really needs to refresh the DRZ400 with fuel injection and six speeds. I loved my DRZ but carburetors are complete ass for me because I deal with long winters and travel all over the western US at different altitudes to go riding offroad.

    The DR350s is better than the DRZ all day long . I can't stand the DRZ at any level . They take away the 6speed and then give it a radiator for more weight and give us a useless 5speed .

Ok, here the difference is water cooled, and that's it ! Plus, a 5speed with is much heavier with the radiator. Plus, there is still no fuel injection . Yeah, the 350s is fantastic bike .

    drz400e is street legal in australia has been for 23yrs. 48hp 30 lb/ft 138kg wet weight.
    best suspension out of your lineup by a huge margin, best build quality and parts specs.
    best allrounder actually fun to ride in the bush and capable of hard enduro, yet still thrives on long distance adv rides and is suitable for daily commuting.
    even if the s model was the only choice, i'd still choose that over the rest.

      The XT225 is a great bike I had one a few years ago and sold it for my XR650L. The 225 would have been better for trails in my opinion just because it’s so light. You don't need 6 speed for trails. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear on the 250 are all you'll ever use on any trail. The 4th gear is for over 30-35 and the last is your highway gear. The 250 with FI is much more responsive than the carbureted 225. Yes it's a bit heavier though and that's the 225's advantage.

    Does anyone know the seat height differences among the brands and bikes? Like which ones are lower?
    I haven’t ridden in some years, my last bike was a KTM 125 Sx, and that bike was really tall to me. I cut all of the foam out of the seat because I’m a little 5’7” (30” inseam) dude and it can be annoying when you’re in sand and trying to start your bike up again when it’s a very tall seat, for example (plus, real riding boots as you know are very rigid at the ankle so you really aren’t able to bend it too much). I’ve seen some older 250s my friends had that had lower seats and I never really knew why, I just assumed it was a particular trait of each model/brand.
    I suppose I should Google it. I’m going to buy a dual sport one day, just waiting until I buy my first home where I have the space to store it.

    • @sharonsylvia4804
      @sharonsylvia4804 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Google doesn't tell you the whole story. For example, the CRF300L and 300L Rally might look scary at 34.7" seat height, but the suspension is very squishy and will compress when you sit on it, making it much more approachable for shorter riders. I would say your best bet is to go sit on bikes on the showroom floor, because things like suspension squish and narrower vs wider seats won't show up on a spec sheet.
      To answer your question more specifically, of the bikes he mentioned, the XT250 would be very approachable in terms of seat height. The CRF300L is also a good option because of suspension squish, and if it is still scary, Honda offers the 300LS which is a lower seat height variant.

    • @DoggoWillink
      @DoggoWillink 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@sharonsylvia4804 Yeah that’s a good point. I’ve only had racing style bikes and the suspension was always very rigid (no surprise there). I mean, I can ride a tall bike it’s just not something I’d buy for a Dual Sport. You’re right it’s probably best to go and sit on different bikes, get a feel for these.

    Tenere ain't a dual sport

    • @MotorcyclesOffroad
      @MotorcyclesOffroad  ปีที่แล้ว

      So you watched the video and your take away is "Tenere ain't a dual sport" maybe but AINT is? Define dual sport: A dual-sport motorcycle is a type of street-legal motorcycle that is designed for both on and off-road use.
      Even though we make up these names like "adventure bike" the Tenere fits the definition of a dual sport with no disqualify factors.

    • @EGGZ1983
      @EGGZ1983 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @MotorcyclesOffroad
      @MotorcyclesOffroad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @slaminsam1083 just because someone writes something online doesn't change the definition of what it is. I mean I could make the case the adventure motorcycle is a buzz word that is mostly recently implemented to drive sales. Any way you look at it the Tenere is a dual-purpose motorcycle aka a dual sport. Once again it's funny how someone will choose one thing to comment on. I don't even know If I said the Tenere was a dual-sport. But I wanted to address your open ended comment using "Ain't"

    • @EGGZ1983
      @EGGZ1983 ปีที่แล้ว

      @MotorcyclesOffroad your being argumentive man. Would you like me to add the link for source like I said is classed by Yamaha themselves? I'm just sick of people thinking there big adv bike is capable like a dual sport because it ain't. Too many idiots riding adv bikes thinking they can ride off road to a high standard or even decent standard is a laugh!
      Not saying you don't know this, but I'm just clarifying the tenere, as well as all the other adv bikes ain't dual sports and will get rolled by even a pissy 125 in the bush.

    • @6226superhurricane
      @6226superhurricane 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      dual sport has become such a broad term in usa it's kind of pointless now at one end you have people labelling street legal competition enduro bikes dual sports and at the other you have overweight touring adv bikes. it made more sense when they were called road trail bikes and were trail bikes that were at home on road as well. as opposed to enduro bikes which could be ridden on road for short periods but aren't really suitable for it or adv/touring bikes which are limited offroad.
