Dont worry guys, Filipinos will always have your back...Remember, FAMILY is always first for us Filipinos and you are the Lockwood Family. This is why it's not difficult for us to embrace you. We are so grateful that we have found your channel and took us with your travels so we can also experience the fun and adventure the world has to offer (even if it's just virtual for us). Just continue what you do best since life will always be changing...Live the Philippines, the Lockwood way! Salamat po.
Pinoy baiting exists because of Pinoy simping or Pinoy pride, oozing every so often in the characteristic "We Filipinos" comments. Just speak as "I" since you are writing your own comment/idea!
@@erass2762 Noted..But I speak not only for myself. My family watched this channel with me as I share it with them and apart of this statement comes from my partner and family member. Thank you.
Your family is the only TH-camr I watch that is making quality travel content in the PH. You guys are Pinoy approved! Too bad I just watch your vlogs recently and was not able to attend the meet and greet. I hope there will be next one.
I perfectly understand the ads. Bottomline ABC are vloggers and we all know that they do it not just for fun though they are actually enjoying it. But for profit as well. Editing the videos alone is so tasking just so they can present a good, enjoyable and fun videos. That is why I do not mind the ads at all. That's just part of the reality of the life they chose.
When you are loved enough by your audience, esp by Filipinos, they will celebrate with you when you get a sponsorship. They will rally for you to encourage others not to skip ads. This is how I feel when I see sponsored content from you. I love seeing you grow. I'm realistic and know that they are needed in this business to make it sustainable for you.
The last part gets us emotional. Actually you are doing great not horrendous like you said, don't be too harsh on yourselves you're really good and we can see you're taking it very seriously and the bloopers in the end of every videos balance it all. Keep posting.
I've been sub'd since your ABC channel and I saw no baiting at all - just a family with well-mannered kids who are willing to try, learn, and respectfully express if they liked something or not. I also see your videos as a travel guide and a way to revisit the places I have been in. The ads are great tbh, I don't mind them at all cos you put a lot of effort in them instead of just being a last minute mention. I appreciate the care and mindfulness you have with your content - and your kids' safety, privacy and agency. It's a joy to see them enjoy the world at their own terms and own pace. Hats off to you and I wish you a prosperous future with whatever your family decides to do.
I rarely comment on videos but I just want to put out there that this channel is absolutely amazing. They always come up with new ideas and this Q&A concept is a nice addition. What sets ABC apart from the rest is that they dig deep into the country's culture, creating an educational experience for their audience. Just pure positivity all around. ❤
Have both homes in Denver, CO and in Manila, Phil. (BGC). Stay in BGC during winter months in Denver. Thank you guys for embracing the pilipino culture and even promoting it. Pilipinos and Americans go hand in hand. 🇵🇭🇺🇸
I love your pod cast, very genuine and educational. To answer your Question, your channel is not Pinoy Baiting. It’s very obvious and crystal clear that you provide your viewers a very nice content specially to our country. I appreciate and Filipino’s are very grateful for that. I am excited for your next trip and I am always here to support and watch your videos. Watching here in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.❤❤❤
You guys are great! You inspire us a lot, we are a Filipino-American family and the last time we went back to the Philippines was in 2017. We've always planned to visit the Philippines, and because of your content, we got inspired and it gave us more boost and finally decided to come home and brought our kids (5 & 9) for the first time in 2 weeks (hope we have more time) just last month (July). We stayed in BGC, Manila & Palawan and we always remember the Lockwoods being in the same spot/places:). We appreciate all you do, the sincerity and happiness, and we always looking forward to your content. :)
Freezing cold here in Sydney now, drinking coffee and watching this podcast is WONDERFUL ! Thank you so much, just loving your thoughts, discussion and listening ! stay safe always
I loved this! Honestly, you’re going to have haters but regardless your videos are awesome to watch. I wasn’t much of a traveler growing up but now that I am an adult, I definitely appreciate traveling more especially with my family. Having actual videos of your travels is something I wished I had growing up so I definitely understand your kids perspective. Love the content and can’t wait to see what you have cooking up!
First of all, I think you are both very smart & wise for not buying a condo. I started watching TH-cam when the pandemic began because it was tough not being able to travel and explore. I came across this couple who were stranded in one of my favorite islands, and have been hooked to a few channels since then. I was so happy to come across yours- full of quality, positivity, great content & editing, … I could go on and on. I love how transparent you are about costs, etc., realistically, for sustainable and long term career in this field sponsorship is a must. For most of us who appreciate your channel and content, we understand and do not mind. I truly wish you success and that someday, you will be able to cover all of your travel expenses through this medium. I wish for you to reach a million viewers and beyond. You guys deserve it 😊
I respect you guys for not forcing Brooklyn or any of your kids to be on episodes if they don’t want to be. Nobody wants to be forced or be fake in front on the camera. That’s great parenting!
I feel like I missed a whole new book, 2 years ago I was enjoying your travel vlogs from the Always Changing channel and now you have this channel for the Philippines! I'm staying up late to binge-watch! Lots of love!
The best thing about you guys is the quality of your videos and it does come across in your vlogs that you wouldn’t sacrifice it for more views. Here’s to hoping that your work only becomes more rewarding for everyone in your family.
Pinoy baiting or not, you are doing more good than harm to the country. Your videos are top notch, no other vloggers (local or foreigners) even come close. As for the podcast format of your video, really like it. Would love to see more.
Your contents are great and feel very natural (mind you, i don't usually watch family vlogs cos they give me the ick, idk)... there are vloggers who just use our country to gain more traction and profit, given our pinoy mentality to be seen, appreciated, and validated by others, especially other races. But with you, it's just so nice to see and feel that you are truly enjoying and loving what our country has to offer.
these podcast episodes are very refreshing to have. love to hear more of what goes into the production of these videos, your personal thoughts and ideas! I think i’m in the majority that enjoy the product endorsements as they are all very pertinent and desirable to fellow travelers! i did not notice the “shift“ as i’ve always appreciated them. Can’t wait for the Siquijor and Ireland videos! love the house btw..
I already respected the heck out of you guys just based on your kind demeanor and the quality of your content. You can tell they're very well thought out and substantial effort has been put into every video. Knowing that you guys are not exactly making bank but love what you do has upped my admiration level even higher! Sanaol vloggers like you!
We enjoy visiting historical places too. Sometimes we run into restrictions with filming at some historical buildings and sites so we're not always able to share it.
Wishing you guys all the best in your future plans wherever that may be. More than being entertained by your Philippine content, I guess what got me hooked on your channel is really the fact that your love for travel and family deeply resonates with me. We are a (Filipino based in the Phils.) family of 5, and I am the eldest child. We started travelling as a family in 2008 when I was still in 8th grade (mostly towards the western part of the globe). Phil is literally like my dad-a travel dad who’s always up and running, takes charge of the pack, and lugs around our camera equipment; Erin, my mom, who has shallow tears (😅) and never runs out of love, energy, and warmth towards everything and everyone. And just like you, my parents used to also wonder when it will last for the five of us as they knew we were going to have separate lives and separate plans for ourselves eventually. Fast forward to today (and countless trips abroad later), we are 2 weeks away from our summer trip to the Mediterranean STILL as a family, and I am 29 years old now. While me and my brothers obviously did end up having our own lives, own money, own priorities, interests, and responsibilities, it turned out that travelling as a family was always sacred for us and we have not skipped a beat on that aspect since. Your videos offer me a beautiful perspective on what it was like for my parents to make us see the world and have such amazing experiences when we were the same age as Reagan, Brooklyn, and Colt. The channel is Always Be Changing, but family is the one and only core that will never ever change ☝🏼 Cheers to y’all down yonder!!!
It sounds like you have such a beautiful family with so many beautiful memories 🫶🫶🫶 thank you so much for the positivity and encouragement . Your family sounds so inspiring 🤗
I love this family! I have followed them since they have 20K followers from their main channel, Always Be Changing. I just love how genuine they are!! ❤ ANDDDD y'all are definitely not Pinoy baiting; it's just because you made a really great vlog when you travelled to the Philippines and Filipinos just loved it.
This episode has been one of my many, many, many favorites ❤️ thank you for your candor. When i got to the part about brooklyn, i had more respect for you as parents than i did before this episode. You dont need to explain anything about your personal lives but you chose to. The way you (both) talk about your family and children is very admirable. I can hear the gentleness and love in your voices. Your parenting skills are awesome! ❤
Love this channel and the experiences your family shares. I am pinay born and raised and my family moved us to California when I was 12…I’m now 50. I’ve never heard that use of the word Pinoy is offensive if you’re not pinoy yourself. I love your videos because I miss home.
I think this podcast style is a great idea. It's nice to talk about what happened to the vlog . Plus , this is how we get to know all your personalities so love it❤.
It is a good episode Erin and Phil. I watched it to the end. I just admire the sincerity, honesty and transparency. You are still entitled to some privacy even if you are public figures now. I appreciate that you creatively think and work on your contents. Many more to come! All the best! 👍👏🎊
Love all your videos since it has been 34 yrs since I left the Philippines❤️ As a Pinoy living in Texas, I have only been to Colorado once to go skiing in Breckenridge, hope you can film more videos in Colorado too, would love to see more of Colorado too from your own point of view so I can go visit your beautiful state, thank you Erin & Phil
Great episode! Loved the candid feedback to viewer questions. As a parent myself, it’s great to hear about the challenges, as well as the successes. Wishing you all the best!
@@livethephilippines I was born in the Manila, and moved to California 7 years ago, But when i was there i didnt really do anything fun. But this is my time to see the whole philippines.
It’s difficult when you have to explain yourselves because you have an online presence. Pinoy bait as much as you want because you deserve the views given the amount of effort you put into your content. With regards to buying a property in the Philippines, I wouldn’t because the market is overpriced. Even decent hotel/resort accommodation is overpriced in comparison to our Asian neighbours. Oh and can you please do an episode on how you pay your bills as a foreigner? Like talk about the daily challenges/experiences and not just on travel? Thanks love your channel.
Thank you :) This is great feedback for us since it's pretty inevitable. Are little babies will leave the nest some day and take off on their own adventures.
We lived in Broomfield, Colorado for almost 9 years after my husband work (IBM in Longmont), relocated my family to Colorado. Now, Fmy husband and I are retired living in Arizona, again relocated by IBM. Living in Arizona after a year, relocated to Bangkok, Thailand for 3 years. I am a Filipina but grew up in SF for 28 years before moving to Colorado. I love Colorado but hate driving in the snow. How on Earth, your family decide to live in the Philippines? My parents has a condo in Alabang, Vivere Resort and Hotel on the 22nd Floor. We hardly use it but my husband will stay for a month to play golf with friends. LOL!!
My suggestion after selling your house in the US, then the kids will go to college. It’ll just be you and Phil get your tiny house where you can move it around and park it at one of your friends whenever you guys are going for overseas that would be tiny hustle, tiny house, tiny hustle, just one of my suggestion, thanks for sharing
Hi wonderful Lockwood family. I loved your candor, very refreshing actually and because of that i subscribed. I was just a silent watcher before because honestly a lot of travel bloggers in my country are Pinoy baiters/keepers. It’s understandable that there are Pinoys who will ask you that question. I just hope for your understanding and consideration that we had been through decades/centuries of abusing our trust up to present time. But, I do believe that if they are asking that question in front of you, the person asked you with respect. I won’t deny there are those who are not tactful. But like what I almost always say to new travel vloggers in the PH🇵🇭, my country is not the most beautiful country in the world but it’s got an aesthetic beautiful of its own that even those Pilipinos living permanently abroad keeps going back home to our motherland. Regarding the Pilipino ppl, we’re not perfect too but our Pilipino attitudes, characteristics ingrained from birth to adulthood prevails. Our bayanihan/balikatan tradition and culture comes to the fore… generally. The bottom line is your family accepted and love our country and our ppl. Me, of course I would not expect you to love my country more than yours (the USA)😮😬😊 At the end of everyday, the important thing is you’re happy and had made other ppl happy. Sorry for the length of my comment 😬
5:52 haha I understood them. They were teenagers. I had WAAAAY less energy when I was a teenager. You could say I was nonchalant and casual about anything that excited me, no matter how much it excited me lol
Not to sugar coat, I do really like your family. I am always excited for your upcoming adventures. Hopefully someday I have the chance to meet you in person. And most of all thank you for loving, promoting, elduging the Philippines. Love from Kuwait ❤ By the way I like this new podcast like epidose. Mabuhay
I started subscribing to your channel and stories.. i love the content and appreciate the love you have for the Philippines. More power! Cant wait for the DGTE and Siquijor trip video..Colts return to scuba diving :)
I'd love it too at 17 to go to the PI all expenses paid with girlfriend and her cool ass fam! What's not too like except for the heat and humidity. And he looked to have avoided falling victim to the water sickness that I always fall victim too when I go the the Philippines and eat all the great food offered. Give you guys kudos for that.
YES!!! Bicol, Region, hey, please visit the Bulusan, Sorsogon - the place of hot spring, but don't get it too quickly, test the water first if its too hot. I also hope that you can bring Mason & Reagan to Baguio.
Nothing beats travelling, and you guys do a great job. Glad Colt enjoyed South 🇿🇦 Africa. Its our home...and quite some distance to fly across the oceans, but nothing beats travelling. We try to go on one big trip a year, and follow for ideas and places. Keep up the fun stuff.
sponsorship nids tranparency which is u alreAdy doing..:-)..yeah u r really burning money wid the travels and we r thankful becoz of the quality of the videos..ur travel is really worth being seen on tv..and also podcast style is also good:-).sometimes we nid to talk:-)..just talk..
Btw I am loving this podcast-style content! I would honestly listen if you did end up creating a podcast. 🤣 Although this podcast-style content is not for everyone and not everyone would like to listen to a 30-minute-long conversation. A great suggestion would be to repurpose it too and cut into segments, then upload to TH-cam shorts, TikTok and Instagram reels 😉
That is such great feedback to hear. I'm so glad you like this podcast style. I think we're going to have more content like this for when we're in the US.
Phil has this mesmerizing blue eyes ! Don’t worry Erin, I’m not after Phil. ✌🏽✌🏽✌🏽 Btw Philippine investment laws allows you to lease a property for 50 years! It’s almost like owning a property. You don't need to have partners. Go for the boutique resort idea.
damn what a good duo for a podcast. you should do this often ❤ PS: I apologize for the term "pinoy baiting", its just there are some vloggers who just farm view do a bit of "charity vlog" then poof gone, ABC family is not about that definitely, you guys are actually experiencing the culture. I enjoyed your vlogs cos i feel like im with you guys on the adventure. ❤ 😊
I don't want to speak for an entire nation, but as a Filipino/Canadian, I personally take no offense in your use of the word "pinoy". As a matter of fact, its kind of endearing. Filipinos, for the most part, are so easy going and have a self-deprecating sense of humour. It takes a lot to offend us. Your travel videos are some of the best quality out there. In fact, I just got back from a trip to Iloilo city. It was my first time there and went specifically to visit the Museum of Contemporary Art, as highlighted in one of your more recent episodes. I never would've even considered visiting Iloilo if I hadn't seen your very informative video. Thanks for that and keep up the great work!
We are thinking about it. We love having something we can do to create content and stay connected to our audience while we’re not filming an epic location.
I love your channel we should be moving out there in the next year for a year or 2 then moving to Belize. We bought land by secret beach and will start building soon for airbnbs. Hope to see you guys out there when we go out there.
Are you planning to visit and watch a sports event like Basketball and volleyball? Couple of vloggers mostly foreigners love to watch like volleyball and basketball mostly professionals and promote your children's book on the upcoming Manila International Book Fair its in MOA and its on September. The Baguio trip is in guide to the philippines website and another tip please prepare your jackets by February and early March of 2025 for Flower Festival.
1. I am Filipino American but yeah when I opened a bank account, I have to fill out some IRS form and asked me for document with Philippine address. maybe present your lease? try opening at BDO Bank. it’s more convenient have local bank account. 2 You are allowed (and not derogatory) when you say Pinoy, not like the N-word but then again I don’t think you are Pinoy baiting, a lot of non Filo is in the Philippines for content but I even envy your videos because you have been to places that I wish I could also visit, maybe someday haha. continue what you are doing as long as you enjoy and afford it.
Better invest to a beach house or a house thab condo. Living in a condo has tons if restrictions. You have to pay monthly dues for security, parking (insane amount for a car), etc. etc.
Loved this episode. It is great to know what is really happening in the background and what your thoughts are. Thank you for sharing them with us. Also, are you using Western Union? I know G-Cash is hard to get if not a Filipino but WU do make life easier whilst living in the Philippines.
I don't worry about your ads. I'm on Premium. Hehe. P.S.: I just subscribed because you guys are so appealing to me. I never watched vlogs longer than 30 minutes, but with your videos, I can sit and watch for more than an hour!
Nice episode. I think it's great to have this kind of episodes once in while. And yeah I have also been wondering - do you have "real" job aside from this TH-cam thing... 🙂 But anyways - you're videos are really good and interesting - and yes, I started off by watching the 4 hour compilation - and since then I just once in a while watch your videos in cronological order, oldest first.
You are both smart and speak your minds, but you have great manners and are careful not to offend anyone. What an amazing couple you are

It is a good episode Erin and Phil. I watched it to the end. I just admire the sincerity, honesty and transparency. You are still entitled to some privacy even if you are public figures now. I appreciate that you creatively think and work on your contents. Many more to come! All the best! 👍👏🎊
Love all your videos since it has been 34 yrs since I left the Philippines❤️
As a Pinoy living in Texas, I have only been to Colorado once to go skiing in Breckenridge, hope you can film more videos in Colorado too, would love to see more of Colorado too from your own point of view so I can go visit your beautiful state, thank you Erin & Phil
Great episode! Loved the candid feedback to viewer questions. As a parent myself, it’s great to hear about the challenges, as well as the successes. Wishing you all the best!
Amazing family ❤ Fun to watch and full of positivity 💯🫶🏻
100% AGREE ON SIR PHIL'S RESPONSE ( ANSWER ) ON THE " PINOY BAITING " QUESTION . EXCELLENT SIR PHIL . 👋👋👋🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭👏👍✌️
I have been following the Lockwoods for a while now. I feel fortunate to have stumbled across their wonderful channel. I ❤ the Lockwoods 😊
We are so grateful you stumbled across us too 🫶🤗
I LOVE YOU GUYS SO MUCH!! IM GOING TO PHILIPPINES IN 8 DAYS. you guys showed me the best spot i could go too!
So happy for you! 🤗 you’re going to have an incredible trip.
@@livethephilippines I was born in the Manila, and moved to California 7 years ago, But when i was there i didnt really do anything fun. But this is my time to see the whole philippines.
most non baiting channel. decent. well researched. very professional. go continue. you have my support
🥰 Thank you!
You are awesome and professional in all your productions. Very kind to answer questions of your followers. All the best in all your travels.
Yass! Batanes❤
And I enjoyed this podcast episode!
I really love watching your contents. Thank you for making such an effort to promote the Philippines. Keep it up! Sending love from Dubai ❤
I would still watch seeing you two travelling even without the kids… and maybe colt wants his own channel lol
Thank you :) This is great feedback for us since it's pretty inevitable. Are little babies will leave the nest some day and take off on their own adventures.
Love your channel, you family dynamic is truly amazing.
Thank you so much! 🤗
Good choice respecting the kids if they dont want to be on camera. Kudos patenting! 👌
LOL!!
i enjoy listening these couples while busy in the kitchen❤😊
Great Episode! The Juicy Vlog mentioned that they use a company called Wise to make paying their bills in the Philippines easy.
Phil loves the idea of a tiny house. I love the idea of living in so many places in the world.
Love from Kuwait ❤
By the way I like this new podcast like epidose. Mabuhay
Very informative... answers some of our questions in mind...😊
So good to hear! Thank you for watching ❤️
Our fave family vloggers keep it going
Thank you! Will do! 🤗
I LOVE creators who appreciate suggestions and feedback from their viewers. ❤

I love your family and I appreciate this episode. 🥰
We appreciate you so much 🫶
Traveling, experiences, and memories are how life should be spent. Having a house and a traditional job will lock you down in one location.
Hi my Freinds I’m watching from Guam🇬🇺 💙💙💙 I totally ❤️❤️❤️ the 🇵🇭
Thanks for watching from Guam 🤗

How old is Reagan? BTW I like your vlog
I was looking for new episode until I checked back and Voila, here it is. You are all au naturel. Love it. Till next time. Thank you.
Thanks for checking and watching 🤗
Btw I am loving this podcast-style content! I would honestly listen if you did end up creating a podcast. 🤣 Although this podcast-style content is not for everyone and not everyone would like to listen to a 30-minute-long conversation. A great suggestion would be to repurpose it too and cut into segments, then upload to TH-cam shorts, TikTok and Instagram reels 😉
That is such great feedback to hear. I'm so glad you like this podcast style. I think we're going to have more content like this for when we're in the US.
I just love your family traveling no matter what. Periodt❤
Thank you 🤗
u guys are more piney than most of us as u already travelled a lot of our worldclass tourist destinations! I hope I could meet u guys when u travel.
We hope we can meet you too. :)
🤗 anyone could get lost looking at those beautiful eye.
damn what a good duo for a podcast. you should do this often ❤
PS: I apologize for the term "pinoy baiting", its just there are some vloggers who just farm view do a bit of "charity vlog" then poof gone, ABC family is not about that definitely, you guys are actually experiencing the culture. I enjoyed your vlogs cos i feel like im with you guys on the adventure. ❤ 😊
Thank you so much 🙏 so happy you like the podcast
Phil is always so poised and well-mannered, just saying. 😁
Ok so when does the podcast with Mom Duty start? This format works really well IMHO
So happy you like this style. Phil worked so hard on the setup. 😊
Yes like a guest for ur podcast! 👏
Always looking forward to watch your vlogs. Looking forward to meet you guys in person soon. Am a fan ❤️❤️❤️
lucky i have premium i enjoy watching you guys with no interruption
Awesome 🤩 thanks for watching 👍🏻
I love this podcast❤❤❤ wait, why not start a podcast🤭💜
We are thinking about it. We love having something we can do to create content and stay connected to our audience while we’re not filming an epic location.
I love your channel we should be moving out there in the next year for a year or 2 then moving to Belize. We bought land by secret beach and will start building soon for airbnbs. Hope to see you guys out there when we go out there.
That is awesome! Sounds like you’re living the dream 🤗

Thanks for the book fair tip! We would love to go to a basketball game sometime. We’d also love to get up to Baguio 😊
Thanks for all the tips 🤗👍🏻
Better invest to a beach house or a house thab condo. Living in a condo has tons if restrictions. You have to pay monthly dues for security, parking (insane amount for a car), etc. etc.
Loved this episode. It is great to know what is really happening in the background and what your thoughts are. Thank you for sharing them with us. Also, are you using Western Union? I know G-Cash is hard to get if not a Filipino but WU do make life easier whilst living in the Philippines.
We’re not so thanks for the tip!
Been waiting for this 😊❤ love you guys. Watching from Dubai. Mabuhay!🙌
Hello in Dubai 🤗
Lockwood family is dbest 👌

Wow new episode on Colt's bday
🥳
I don't worry about your ads. I'm on Premium. Hehe.
P.S.: I just subscribed because you guys are so appealing to me. I never watched vlogs longer than 30 minutes, but with your videos, I can sit and watch for more than an hour!
Hi :) So happy you found our channel and you like our videos. Thanks for following us!
Yeheeey!waiting for u here guys in DAVAO CITY ! SIQUIJOR?just be careful guyst..
Thanks! 😊 we can’t wait to get to both 🫶
Mybe next time bring her in colder parts of PH like high mountain like Baguio or Bukidnon Mindanao
Yes, she’d love those areas too 😊
27:18 yes, when I lived in the Philippines, I don't carry cash around, too.
