We love your Family. I hope to see more of this modeling Gig in the future and your Family is a perfect model for this. Maybe next we will see you on the national TV or in a morning show. Good luck to your career and have FUN.......
Pampanga IS where sisig originated. The province protects the integrity of sisig. The original dish does not have fried egg, so all the Pampanga restaurants that serve it do not have fried egg on it. My late mom was from Pampanga, and she was a very good cook. ❤
Omg colt and Brooklyn are so cute both gorgeous maybe they become celebrity here in Philippines can't wait to see them in more commercial tv love them both and this entire family are so perfect 🥰💕
You've sold me on your adventures Lockwoods. Glad all of you enjoyed some of the provinces up North. I married into a Filipino family who's from Sta Cruz Mexico Pampanga. I know all about how awesome the food is up there. I've been to the PI four times so far and have enjoyed my visits there every time. Most of my wife's immediate family have already come to the states, but we still have lots of family in Pampanga. Can all of you say MANYAMAN!!! Well all of you can because it is justified with what you all had to try in San Fernando. Great video!
I am a new subscriber, been binge watching your videos from the very beginning. I enjoy watching you. Sinigang is tangy and sour but we doesn't actually use vinegar in it. We use various ingredients that brings the sour taste, there is sinigang sa sampalok (tamarind which is the most common), sinigang sa bayabas (guava), sinigang sa pakwan (watermelon which is rare and uncommon), sinigang sa pinya (pineapple another variation that is rare and uncommon), sinigang sa miso,, sinigang sa kamias (bilimbi), and tomatoes also adds up to the sour flavor.
Whoohoo! So happy you guys finally made it to Pampanga. Nelvine said you’d absolutely love the food🤤🇵🇭Oh and can’t wait to see all your pics from Balai Alegria! You all looked AH-MAZING, esp the kids!💯👏
I am a Filipina-Canadian. Grew up in Toronto, Canada and am learning so much from your TH-cam channel. I am very impressed by your open and adventurous nature as a family. You as a family have opened up a new world for me and my family. So much so, that we want to visit the Philippines. My mother's side of the family is originally from Pampanga. Thank you for this episode. Please continue to make more content like this. I am a Foodie and love learning more about the food of the Philippines. Wishing you more adventures and blessings to your beautiful family. Thank you for what you do! :) Maria Jules
Yeah, Sisig can vary. As a Filipino who lived in The Philippines and here in California. I never had the same sisig twice. Original Sisig was just Pork Face/Mask, but it can be found to be made with all parts of the pig or Chicken now. Personally I like tuna Sisig.
Your family is so amazing! Very spontaneous and natural. Thank you for enjoying the Philippines 🇵🇭. So proud of the Lady host genuinely filipino hospitality🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭.Way to go Lockwoods🎉
I love this family vlogger, one time, I'm just scrolling on youtube but when i watched one of their vlogs, I can't stop watching more and waiting for the new one. Keep it up and God bless your beautiful family!❤
Love watching you guys ! Love how genuine you love the Philippines , loving the food , people , places . Hope you enjoy always . You all deserve happiness. God bless
I'm a fan now I really loved these raw videos of your family. More videosss moreeee Thanks for loving the Philippines, hope you can visit Davao City...
Aling Lucing is the creator of Sisig from a burnt dish to a little bit of tweaking to not let the food go to waste to the creation of Sisig. It's like how to fail and succeed story. Also sinigang is mostly tamarind base, but others use kamias or tomato and other varieties of veg or fruit to make it sour like lemon, but not to vinegar its another dish called paksiw if you use vinegar.
You know, you could very well make caldereta with beef! aside from the meat, you just need carrots, potatoes, plain tomato sauce, garlic, onions, and (very important) liver spread (liver paste seasoned for breadspread; you could try plain liver paste, but taste will differ). optionals include bell peppers and sausages. Sautee the garlic, then the onions, then carrots, then potatoes, then meat, then add tomato sauce, then liver spread. You might want to boil the beef off for three hours before cooking though just to get it soft. I've never liked sinigang, simply because my grandmother insists we eat the vegetables. But I'm glad you like the sisig! I hope I can run into you guys at BGC one day...
It’s nice to see you guys doing the modeling gig , why Brooklyn doesn’t eat a lot as I have noticed , over all you guys amazing , stay safe and see you for your next video ❤
I hope you can come here in Baguio and Benguet especially this month in La Trinidad, Benguet is celebrating Strawberry Festival for the entire month. We hope to see more of your adventures as family
I love that you all are in Pampanga. That is where my grandfather was from. Didn’t realize it was the culinary capital, very cool especially since we are foodies from Oregon.
Ma'am and Sir. Good day to your family I think you will try business called restaurant and showcasing Filipino food it would be amazing. Good Job and Good luck to you modeling stint God Bless to all of you
Come across your channel. Looks like you are living a less stress free in the Philippines. Here in the states, specially in SF Bay Area cost of living is way up there, the rat race, etc.
Been watching your channel in preparation for our own move to BGC later this year. Can't wait to try some of the things you have been experiencing. Thank you so much.
Lol at the BTS. Cole is so silly. Erin, you are so charming even if you mispronounce some Filipino words. That toku scene is so funny. As always, super enjoyed your video. I’m happy that your family is getting the exposure/attention y’all so deserve.
Bulacan is where my father is from 😊. So I notice these 'smaller' resort places are such an 'in' thing especially for staycation and I reckon would be a popular choice this coming hotter months. Take care fam ❤
Phil is actually right when it comes to Sisig there are different versions of it but the original one will always be pig face :D Sisig is yummier if eaten with Garlic rice...and you can make it crunchier by letting it cook a bit in the sizzling plate a little bit longer before you mix it..
Each province has their own culture and food. Pampanga people likes to cook and have a good skill in cooking. They have one of the best food there in the PIILS. ❤
Hi. I just subscribed to your channel. How nice of you as foreigners making vlog about the beauty of our country. I live in Pampanga. Hope I can meet you someday.
Sisig in its oldest form have pig's brains in it to have it have a creamy texture in it. When sisig got to manila the pig's brain git replaced by raw egg placed on it when served on a very hit plate and mayo is also added later on. Sisig is also liken to the ilocano "dinakdakan", though the later is an older dish.
I just bumped into one of your videos here on YT while browsing randomly. I didn't notice that I almost watched all of your uploaded videos. Love your videos guys. Oh btw, we don't put lime or Calamansi in Sinigang very often, instead, we use Tamarind to make a sour flavor. Welcome to Pampanga. My home town! You won't believe this, I haven't tried their authentic sisig, cause I grew up in Manila. But I will try it soon. PS: I can tell the crispy pata they served you are not fresh from the butcher. Looks like it has been frozen for a couple of days which is why it's no longer crispy than what you and we expected. :D
Love love Balai Alegria looking forward to visit there when i go for vacation in the Philippines. And Erin, take a rest. You don't sound very good, I hope all is well with u take a lot of Vitamin C

Good to know! We just had sisig in Makati and it had egg in it (and mayo on the side). Very different. We also just had oyster sisig this week 👍🏼
@@livethephilippines that is the style of cooking of Manilenos and other people but not in Pampanga. I don’t eat and like that kind of sisig.

Erin, I live in Denver. And I know that Manila Bay restaurant somewhere in Mississippi Street. But crispy pata in Philippines is the best.
My favorites:
1. Pork liempo (Chooks to Go)
2. Lechon
3. Adobo(Visayan version which is dry and crispy)
4. Adobo(Humba in Visayas)
Sounds good 😋
